@@tuipaopao Umm Hwanhee and Yoon are not baritones they're tenors. We all know Hwanhee sings above G#4 in most of the songs which is absolutely impossible for a baritone of his level. Also Yoon sounds great in his lower range but he seems to be airy as compared to real baritones. For now John park is the only baritone in kpop rest are lower tenors

EXO are Vocal Kings!!! This is why, no matter how bad SM treats them they can still manage to stay on top. I'm so glad I came to know this amazing group. They are by far one of the best, if not the best, 3rd gen male kpop group to me and many others. I hope they continue to give us more amazing songs and performances for many many years to come. They are so much more than a flavor of the moment. EXO-l for life!!!!!

EXO proving themselves as the best vocals kpop boy group. Even though they've been in the industry for 10 years, they never stop attend a vocals lesson. Even chanyeol and sehun as main rapper always train their vocals improvement. Baekhyun as one of the best vocalist in kpop never missed his vocal lesson even during his military service
If you consider Jay to be supporting, then you should also include I.N and Lee Know for stray Kids who are around the same level if not better. Also, Yeonjun supports, good lower register, makes TXT 2/5.
Even tho I don't follow EXO and an ultimate ARMY, I also know EXO is the best among Bgs when it comes to vocals. I respect EXO but I hate TOXIC EXO-LS and TOXIC ARMYS, they are a total different breed. 🤣💀
The crossed out in EXO are their main dancers and I'm proud bcoz those guys can sing. Lay can reach high notes I can't even imagine (like how he did in The Flower of May). Sehun has a nice tone and it surprises me how he sounded so good in The Eve (please give him more lines sm😭). Kai has honey vocals and I'm melting with his executions (Blue is my personal favorite). Too much more to say. I'll stop here now before I'll say something more (like how proud I am of Chanyeol 😭)
I think a lot of y'all are mixing up what it means to "have vocal support" and what it means to "be a good singer". You can have a terrific voice or vocal range and have poor support and breath control. It's not all that makes up a singer but it certainly makes a difference wether or not you have vocal support and resilience.

Well it comes back to their discography whether the members need support or not. Imagine having mamamoo's and exo's discography but the members barely have support. That's definitely not healthy.

@@leonardoenrico2152 to have some sense of support, you need to be atleast a weak vocalist (E tier), woozi is an underdeveloped vocalist (F+), he definitely can improve cause there’s tons of vocalists who were underdeveloped but then improved to weak or low/mid/high w-a (ex : twice chaeyoung, itzy yeji, lesserafim chaewon, blackpink jennie, stayc sieun yoon and isa, etc) i think if he trains more in vocals (which i won’t expect since he’s under hybe and hybe doesn’t seem to care abt their artists skills) and pledis let’s him sing in his vocal range, he could easily improve to weak.
Support is one of the basics of vocal training so this means that some groups might have less training om vocals. maybe that's the reason why most of these idols are so good in dancing, that's their focus. Well I hope companies try to re-evaluate their training process.
Well…I read somewhere that KPOP vocal training consists of learning the vocal style that fits the group’s concept or what the producers are aiming for (eg nasal cutesy style) and/or singing guides of older KPOP songs (like sing like how the original singer sang like) and/or the “stable” training of singing and dancing at the same time. Of course that’s not going to teach them the established set of foundations needed as a vocalist. Maybe teach them have a good ear (like sing like what it’s supposed to sound like and not just pitch), sure, but in terms of what it is needed (eg breath support) and also musicality/musicianship, not really lmao.
@@KittyTsundere yikes that kind of training would limit their capabilities and might ruin their voice in the long run. I think SM got a good training somehow since they have great amount of vocalists who got a healthy voice even after decades in the industry.
@@jvc.4655 Well a good amount of SM main vocalists (Baekhyun, Chen, Wendy, Kyuhyun) have already had established foundations before joining SM (I think they were recruited into SM because of their vocal skill), but to be fair, many of them improved during their time in SM (eg Baekhyun, Chen), and SM is pretty damn consistent in debuting skilled main vocalists (and skilled lead and even skilled sub vocalists for female groups). I would say SM is the most consistent company in debuting top or skilled vocalists followed by RBW and Starship.
Even the main rapper in Exo, Chanyeol has vocal support while other groups' vocal line members don't have vocal supports. My Exo are really the Vocal King. The Emperor of Kpop, EXO.
for ateez, I would add san, their lead vocalist and second best vocalist after jongho. he actually talked about this before and showed it in a bts video of their concert. there are some ateez songs that also prove it or ateez videos where he freely sings. unfortunately his vocals are underrated he’s more known with his performance and dance but his vocals techniques are unmatched honestly
Yeah-I honestly want to know who rates the vocalists and when the last time they rated them was-and what they used to make the rating. I mean for Ateez all of their vocals have improved since debut.
Still haven't shown any sings of support. You can't call yourself a vocalist if you cant support, vocals aren't subjective tbh you may like his voice but that doesn't mean he can sing well... Even Jongho falls into the category of average 👍
@@atinyy.1117 I like Jongho alot tbh but it's just true. My boy is very strained, he sings most of the time out of his range. He has nice placements but has trouble supporting up to G#4, and sounds tense most of the time as well. He hasn't shown any kind of support in his head voice either and his lows aren't really that impressive. Overall he falls into the average category, but he's still one of the best male vocalists of 4th gen. He isn't bad at all, he's just not that good either. If you want a more objective rating like the tiers, he would be placed as a C tier vocalist. Vocalists like Jihyo, Winter, Seulgi and Seoho are also in that tier. 👍👍

Since NCT isn't here, lemme add them. In NCT, out of 23 members - half or at least almost half of them have vocal support. The Vocalists: Taeil, Kun, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Xiaojun, Renjun, Haechan and Chenle. As can be seen on their recording behind-the-scenes, during "Sticker" - TAEIL was singing in a different note that is far from his usual ones. His voice came from the lower part of his body, his stomach. Everyone has vocal support, Haechan also can do the same thing. He can sing falsetto and low register notes while using different parts of his body. He can also use his muscles as the main support for his voice. I forgot Yuta, he can use his lower body, his muscles and even his chest and stomach while singing because he tends to also have higher notes than his supported range. Even NCT's rappers have vocal support tho I'm not sure who are they, but Mark and Taeyong definitely can.
Half of them?? Lmao. Kun, Ten, Renjun & Chenle don't support that well. They're quite shallow, most of them are. Haechan & Jungwoo are a little bit better but that's it. Only Taeil, Doyoung & Jaehyun that actually has solid support. Idk what kind of definition of vocal support u're using, but it's quite vague & a bit misleading. Not all of them can support their voices.
Agreed with IN and seungmin- Not entirely sure abt Han tho- ^i take that back. Han can support. But I don’t think BangcHan is even close- as much as I love him he’s inconsistent 😭
The fact is they rely on Seungmin AND Han to hit and sustain high notes.. I still go back to their kingdom performance of I’ll be your man every now and then. Also if I remember correctly, during debut, it was Han so sang the high note of Hellevator as Woojin refused that part.
Junkyu had support during ygtb but soon his stylistic choices made him lose his support and it seems like he's forgot how to do it. Junghwan seems close to supporting next to main vocals and jihoon

exo are vocal kings, and if ydk treasure has 12 amazing vocals, even their rapper sings well, and some non fans even thought the rappers are also vocalist, treasure is 4th gen strongest vocal line, they sing well specially in live, except the vocal trinity, jihoon and hyunhayo sings stable, mashi, doyoung, jaehyuk, junghwan, asahi also sings well, they can do support well, And also exo and treasure are my 12/12 i love them so much it's like exo is the father group and treasure is the son

Btw for Ateez it should be: Jongho✅ San ✅ Seonghwa ✅ Yunho ✅ Wooyoung ❌ Yeosang ❌ Mingi ❌ Hongjoong❌ Ateez has six vocalists btw which include not only Jongho, but San, Seonghwa, Yeosang, Wooyoung, and Yunho. I know what vocal support is so notice how I didn’t check off all the vocalists, because I do know that some of the vocalists do lack support. However you have to be not an Atiny to not know that San and Seonghwa carry heavy on the vocals parts and have strong support when they sing while also doing some of the hardest choreo in their performances. San and Seonghwa usually are very stable and have been the 2nd vocalists after Jongho that can sustain and support long notes or verses. If you listen to their slower ballad songs or some of their performances covers where Seonghwa and San are able to shine vocally more you’ll know this. Of course Jongho has the best support in the group, but it seems like the OP who made this video just casually looked over groups who they don’t stan and only marked off the main vocalists as the only ones that have support and I find that hilarious. Btw exo are vocal kings, but putting chanyeol as one of the members that has support seems heavily biased to me and the only member in enhypen that has support is probably Heesung. Enhypen are very pitchy a lot of the times for some of their live performances and I hate to say it but they definitely aren’t known for their stable and supportive vocals.

I think at first thought I just forgot to add him cause San and Seonghwa tend to be the lead vocalists and seem to have a bigger and more supported vocal range than Yunho. There is a difference between being stable and having vocal support. And while Yunho might be even a more stable vocalist than the other two members I previously mentioned, I’m not sure on support. Support and stability are two different things. Support isn't only about breathing. It's a condition that you find if you manage to control your airflow and balance including better tone production and the ability to sing extended phrases and sustain notes for longer, hence I’ve seen the more vocal support and longer notes demonstrated from San and Seonghwa. But I’ll add Yunho now as he is very good too. I guess I just haven’t seen all of his potential yet and he doesn’t get many chances to sing higher notes or sing longer phrases like some of the other members.

He also sings in his lower register in their Fantastic Baby/Nillili Mambo cover. I think he’s a little throaty in that but he’s singing near the bottom of his range.
