I remember I used to do a 100+ curls with a 5 pound dumbbell when i was new to working out thinking it was gonna make me stronger and whatnot. I ended up with the most WICKED pump and soreness in my biceps that lasted for days. I think I might have damaged something at that time lmao
I'm currently doing up to 45 reps with 15 lb dumbbells. It's pretty straining, especially if I do it w/o rest, but it definitely is helping me get stronger.
@@jorienwachukwu466 you would get stronger faster if you did heavy weight with less reps. But doing light weight is a lot better if you’re just trying to work on muscle endurance
This video is actually deep you know. Paul is like some friends or even some girlfriend/boyfriends, you'll feel a connection with them but as time passes it will make you feel pain and hurt you despite loving him/her. And in the end it will hurt the most, but just like training with a 1kg dumbbell, you'll recover quickly
"Lifting weights is a way of letting off negative energy and building strength" Browney to the dumbell: *ur my frien now, we're having soft tacoes later!*
do the same with 1kg, 2kg, 3kg etc and check if there's some dependence (e.g. linear dependence) between the weight and amount of reps. Sometimes when I do drop sets i drop the weight by half and usually do the same amount of repetitions.
Next thing to do would be doubling the weight and retaking the test. Then doubling it again and retry, just to see if the ratio rep/weight stays the same...
