This is one of my favorite Mario Kart games of all time! I've played it since my childhood, it's my first Mario Kart game I've ever played, and it's still a blast to this day!

I like how certain characters juggle the triple items and how you stop the red shells from hitting you by sending items back at the right moment

I've long wondered if I just have a bias towards Double Dash since I spent so much time growing up with it. But you were spot on with all of these. Double Dash really dialled the chaos to eleven and had no bad tracks. What a game!

Something I love about the game is just the sheer amount of polish. The game runs in 480p 60fps at all times and the load times are nonexistent.

Watching this video makes me want to play Double Dash again! Haven't played it in several years. I'm a huge fan of the Mario Kart series as I own every game & love them all! I think I'm gonna hook up my Wii now & play some Double Dash!

Also the replays were amazing at angles. The game made you look so awesome drifting and switching during the races.

This is literally my favorite mario kart game even today. I always used to pick toadette and Baby mario and when I played with my cousin. "Who is basically a Male version of me) we would go against each other in 50 and 100 than rise together with alternate driving in 150 they seriously need to port this game and mario strikers on the switch.

Is what I would say if they all weren’t so amazing. Every song, every course, every character, every kart. They’re all amazing. If they don’t make a remake/ sequel/ mode/ rerelease for Switch it would kill me. If anyone is still reading this, thank you for hearing me talk about this masterpiece.

The Heart item from Double Dash is MIND BLOWING!!!!!! We have never seen an item like this! You literally STEAL up to 2 items and you can use them as your own! Also you get protected too! It is such an AMAZING item!

While we only got 16 tracks, the quality of the tracks we do get pretty much makes up for it and it doesn’t feel like anything is missing. The only tracks in the game I’m not super crazy about are Dry Dry Desert and Sherbet Land but seriously the rest of the track selection is great! Also due to Double Dash’s unique elements such as the special items and 2 characters and one kart, it really makes the game stand out as really fun in a way not like any other Mario Kart game.

What mind blowing about Mario Kart Double Dash the game is alright it's hasn't aged well for me, yeah I know it's an old game but please don't judge me for that. The controls were loose in the game newer Mario Karts have perfected the controls in my opinion. Mario Kart Double Dash is a good game but not the best.

Wow, I am disappointed that I never watched this video until today. Thank you Nathaniel for being one of the few MKDD reviews to acknowledge the co-op mode! I feel like everyone just sweeps the co-op mode under the rug whenever they talk about this game. I will say though, for the co-op I wish that you mentioned the ability of being able to punch as the item player, which also allows you to steal other opponents items from them. I feel like that is one of the most broken Mario Kart mechanics in all of the franchise yet no one mentions it, like imagine overlapping the person in last place, punching them and robbing them for a Star, Golden Mushroom, or even better, Lightning! Only in MKDD can you actually do that and I think that is pure power and chaos that I love in a Mario Kart game!
