exactly that. my wife has this exact same problem. nothing shows up in x-rays or mri's, but the description of what's going on with his arm is exactly the same. it's possible that something could be going on with his spine being out of alignment resulting in the tension that is compressing the nerves in his shoulder. it's an evil injury for anyone.

The nerve damage is probably MOST painful doing exactly what basketballers DO most, like, jump shots and free throws? Have you noticed just HOW MANY Heisman Trophy winners now just... disappear? FACTS 💯💯 anxiety is very real from my own experience when there's a bunch of people around I start feeling very uncomfortable and my body gets tence and I start walking weird and can't control all the fidgeting that I do. I posted this comment elsewhere but it's fitting here: When I was in college at U of Tenn, almost every day we would throw frisbee in our apartment parking lot. One day, on about my 5th throw, I held on to the Frisbee too long and threw it straight into the ground. Funny, right? I did it the next 9 throws and had to change my entire grip in order to get the Frisbee to go more than 10 ft. To this very day, I can't throw a Frisbee like I used to could. My grip is entirely different. No idea why, no idea what caused it, but I literally forgot how to throw a Frisbee. The mind is a fascinating thing.

I respectfully disagree. I used to have a great shot but my mechanics were bad, it lead to my shot getting blocked more than it should have. I tried to change my mechanics to shoot properly and while it looked way better, it just never went in. Tried to change back to my original shot and i could never get it back. Now i completely suck at shooting when i was pretty decent for years

Instead Dylan chose to deny his n-TOS and suggest he was lying or had some mental condition. Most Sixers fans still don't know the truth, thanks to medically inept people like Keith Pompey. And for Markelle to go through 10 months of daily PT was remarkable. There was no mention of the Performance members spreading lies to the media. They were eventually fired. They botched the Zhaire Smith episode also.

He ended up being diagnosed with TOS, which is basically really badly compressed nerves/blood vessels that affects the shoulder. It makes your arms feel numb and heavy when you raise them to a certain point, so that’s why his shot got messed up.

what tobias said. it also results in weakness in the muscles, as the nerve signals are not getting through the way their supposed to. my wife has the same injury, and it's done nothing but get worse for four years now. literally can't even touch her shoulder without pain shooting down her entire arm. a chiropractor seems to be helping some, but don't know if it'll actually fix the problem or if it'll be more of a maintenance thing.

This makes sense because a similar thing happened to my cousin. He was right handed but when he was younger he injured his right and had to use his left. When he recovered he developed the ability to write and throw with both hands essentially becoming ambidextrous. However he slowly lost his right hand making his basketball shot unnatural and stiff. It’s a shame too because he could’ve been a really good player as he was able to dribble, layup and shoot with either hand for the few years he was ambidextrous. I’m sure he’d be fine as just a lefty but losing his right shot and layup made his interest in basketball deplete.

You know what you are talking about but you've never had a personal trainer to teach you how to shoot. He's had more than a couple of months to fix it. It's like he keeps having to start over from scratch maybe he has an attitude problem or something behind the scenes that makes him difficult to work with. Or maybe he just can't learn anything. I spent 8 years in the military and coming out of basic there was a trend that was very noticeable. The instructors had a hard time improving the mechanics of shooters who had experience before coming to the military. While the ones who had never shot in their lives usually picked up the mechanics quickly under supervision. Sure aiming down the sights and hitting a target within 30 meters is simple. Like Call of Duty. But once it gets to 300 meters it's not so simple. You can look down the sight and shoot all day and not figure it out. Maybe the rifle needs rezeroed. Maybe you have poor mechanics. Sometimes it can be as simple as learning the wrong things alone that make it very difficult to learn from someone else.
