That’s why I can’t find a church near me... they water down the message... it’s not about saving souls any longer....your guest hits the nail on the head....
@Fran Rushie you may need to attend a church that you may not agree with on every theological point or expression, but where they are boldly standing up to cultural marxism. I’m not saying you should compromise on the basics or go somewhere you just don’t fit in. The Lord answered my prayer for an uncompromising church two years ago, and I’m sure He will do the same for you. God bless.
I was in progressive Christianity for 17 years, all those years I had no idea what Marxism is. It's only been in the last couple of years that I noticed that 'power words' such as racism, white supremacy, sexism, toxic masculinity , etc have taken over the vocabulary in these churches. I had my awakening 3 years ago as to what was really going in politics and culture. Trevor articulates it very well. The 'social justice' gospel has taken over personal sin and redemption gospel . In a progressive church the 'call' is to work for social justice , that is what they say Jesus message was about. They pull justice words from the Bible and translate it into their Marxist ideology, and of course, they never claim they are Marxist. It's called 'social justice'. It's very conniving and deceptive for someone who is not educated in what Marxism is ( that was me) and especially cultural Marxism. I have since dropped out of these churches and do not donate money to them.
The true tragedy is that as they deceive themselves so they deceive others and the personal horror for each deceiver is, as a teacher, their punishment in hell will be so much worse (James 3:1). Pray that they repent in dust and ashes.
Your story is interesting. Mine is slightly different. 8 year member of a communist party in the 70’s. Dropped out, not involved, and raising a family for 40 years. Became a Sanders supporter in 2016, voted Jill Stein( Green Party). After election I was attacked viciously on FB because I said Trump won- get used to it. I quit FB and began reading about Trump and conservatives and realized the extent of this communist subversion. Tried to join a church- and found the Marxists were there, too!!
I have to admit that I do not know a lot about what is going on in the southern baptist Church. But I would caution against using the word "marxism" lightly. We cannot assume that people who believes in promoting justice is simply just simply hateful towards the cultural hegemony and wants to incite an insurrection against them. Racism, white supremacism sexism and toxic masculinity are things which do exist in our world, though people disagree with the extent in which they impact society, especially in your case, the American society. There is nothing wrong calling out discrimination exactly as they are. It only becomes a problem when these things are misused and abused or when there is a false claim of injustice made deliberately by people who care nothing about the disadvantaged. People who use social justice as a mean to stir conflicts are deplorable, but not everybody is like that. Discrimination does happen. In Mainland, people who are past a certain age and still not married are sometimes mocked and called "single dogs". I have never been in your former Church and I won't know what you heard there. Did they say things like "we must liquidate the hegemony in our society", "White males are INHERENTLY racist and they bring about injustice to our world" ? If they didn't say these things, then perhaps you shouldn't assume that these are the things they believe in or that they are marxist. We don't want to misrepresent or misjudge people because we are informed by our assumptions instead of reality.
@@Jill-d9i I had to laugh so much about your comment! :D Good luck with finding a good church or conservative people who also believe in Christ. Wishing you all the best.
Of course the average person in the pew has NO idea...that's as it has always been. The battleground is always first in the Seminaries...then into the church.
43:21 "Most American Christians are going to socialist churches and don't know it. They're sincere Christians who want to be good, who want to follow the Bible properly, and they're being fed a bill of goods. We need to show how this is happening, and we need to draw a clear contrast between Biblical Christianity and socialist, Marxist Christianity."
What an informative and pertinent interview! When churches place any narrative on par with God's Word and water down Eternal Truth, it opens the door to infiltrators and deception.
This is what I struggle with because of the 1% that may be lurking within the local church unnoticed. Praying for discernment is what Christians need especially with this information put forth. I am new to this channel 2023.
It is amazing how much push back I get when discussing this with others. I need to have more grace....I am told. I will not attend an SBC church because they need to disband or assume a name that is not connected to Christianity.
This is one of the most profoundly eye opening commentaries I have seen in a long time. This subject lacks mainstream discussion almost to the level of sin. Sharing!!.
My generation fought the liberal takeover of the SBC throughout the 60s & 70s. Southeastern Seminary has always been a HUGE battleground. I'm so sad to hear this since I believed we had taken back the ground satan had taken. We will be praying and watching. Thank you for this reveal.
Jon,(Dietrich Bonhoeffer), Harris....a great interview with a wise man with experience! Keep fighting the good fight of the Faith once delivered to the original Saints! GBY
Jon. I just want to thank you for this RU-vid Channel! I have known something is wrong but have not been able to put my finger on it completely. These videos are so helpful.
I grew up in SBC but over the years began to question a number of issues, then I was told about a man who preaches The Word of God like no other and started listening to John MacAuthor and found a true preacher/teacher. Thank you for this and all the Conversations that Matter videos!
I was sad to hear the Lutheran church mentioned. But it also confirmed my suspicions that my own denomination is leaning this way. Actually “sad” doesn’t begin to describe my emotions. I have always thought/felt that LCMS theology was soundly rooted in biblically conservative principles. And I don’t know where to go to church now to get biblical theology. I also love a lot of the new Christian music but also see how some of the male artists are effeminate (Phil Wickam comes to mind), and have changed from listening to K-LOVE/AIR-1to listening to Family Life Radio.
Bethel Church out of Redding, CA and their music has disturbing doctrine and a school of supernatural ministry that does not line up with sound Biblical doctrine. Want to learn more? Pastor Costi Hinn of Redeemer & Pastor Chris Rosebrough of F4F have videos on this subject.

From the press of the Frankfurt School at Columbia University it’s always been about spreading DIVISION in existing Christianity, law abiding society, traditional academia, and a government following our Constitution. They divided the populace into victims and oppressors, you were either one or the other. The Frankfurt School also focused heavily on destroying traditional sexual mores and spreading division and rebellion in established beliefs and roles. The nuclear family was another of their prime targets. They found welcoming environment at Columbia, and in many universities in the ’40s and ‘50s, and their publications were much of the basis of the ‘60s campus rebellions, counterculture, and anti war demonstrations (in an attempt to help their North Vietnamese, Chinese, and Soviet comrades). The United States would’ve been far better off if the Frankfurt School had remained in Hitler’s Germany, although they certainly wouldn’t have been!
Holy God. The section on “situational ethics” REALLY put some pieces together for me. As a new Christian, as I started looking around for churches and checking Christian stuff on RU-vid, I just kept asking myself, “have these people even read the Bible??” I couldn’t understand the constant emphasis on love ONLY. Thankfully I found John MacArthur, but my Lord. This is awesome; such good information. The Boomers failed us so damn hard. You’re supposed to go to the elders for advice and information - but most of the elders are Holden Damn Caulfield!!
wymanrtaylorBear : John MacArthur is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Calvinism is a doctrine of demons. Free Grace Theology is safe. Suggest Grace Evangelical Society.
Correct on Greear, Beth Moore, add Russell Moore; all pushing this social justice agenda in the SBC. They removed many of the former obstacles in the past years (Patterson).
I am boomer age and raised in the Methodist Church. When I was a kid, in the Methodist Church, I literally heard fire and brimstone sermons. By the time I was in junior high and high school, the Methodist Church started preaching what we called love sermons. You never again heard about hell from the pulpit.
Then you can say you are a sanely thinking human being concerned about the world affairs, family values etc. AND also Christian. If she has children, you can show her how much of anti Christian values are spread there or some kind of other topic, that is close to her. But in general I understand, Christians are supposed to be tolerant to everything instead of joyful, that they've found the truth. Sadly also people often do not connect Christianity to history or other relevant topics.
Dr Barry Creamer, Pres. of Criswell in Dallas, wrote an article for the Dallas Morning News in 2021 on this very thing, claiming that we needed to all accept that we were racist. It completely refutes the Word of God for those who are truly born again. People get fired from their jobs on campus if they disagree with him. I know, we have dear friends who were tenured who were fired. Thank you guys for sharing this important piece! I pray that people will listen!
I listen to a pastor who always preaches the gospel his name is Jesse Gistand his church is called Grace Bible Church Hayward California. Also he has a radio program called Talk Radio. He as been warning his congregation about all these groups. He is warning people that God is separating sheep from the goats. Please look him up he proclaims the Sovereign Lord God all the time and the Gospel.
so true, men have been feminized in general and it's also in the Christian music, I dislike most modern Christian music. I very fond of old hymns and wished we'd sing them more often. Very educational and scary, however in the past, I have watched video's talking about liberation theology. I pray I will be bold and stand up against this when it comes up, if it does in the new church we're attending now.
Because older music makes you think, transforms the soul and brings reverence towards the Lord. Plus you actually need some skills for that ;) The polyphonic music was specifically invented to elevate the human mind. Somebody already commented I belive on this channel about certain principles, how the music was composed. It is also worth looking into. And afterwards there was a conscious change towards the cumbaya guitar easy music. I'm not catholic as of yet, but it might be worth going to their choir and service with solid music. Also listen to some Mozart and Bach and if possible sing it as well.
You nailed it. Skinny jeans preacher boys filled with soy effeminized as gatekeepers of a née bureaucracy called the church, which it is not. This is why according to Barna surveys 18-35 year old men are fleeing the churches in droves.
@@TheShamuraja You should never be Roman Catholic that would be denying the truth in Christ and acquiescing to the Papacy a completely Apostate structure, Pope Francis is a card carrying communist.
Amen. Pansy effeminate Christians. A younger pastor was preaching at a church one Sunday...and among other things stated that he could relate to Jesus as the Lamb, but he was not certain about the Lion attribute! I would have liked to seen what kind of facial expression I had, it was sickening, because I can't relate to these wimpy men! Our Lord is the Lion of Judah, and He is the Great I AM.
@@hesavedawretchlikeme6902 They make them lambs because the first oppressors or invaders would eat these church goers first, because they are rendered so irrelevant and helpless, that they would be the first ones to eat. I can't believe it... Such a weird programming of suffering anything and everything, although the Bible has such a strong, concise and politically relevant message.
God used this interview to wake me up, no pun intended, to everything that's happening in our churches and society as a whole. I was absolutely blown away by the things Trevor was saying.
@@jonnyenough1531 Yes, people need to understand these things, geopolitics, economy, science, the fake science of sociology, which was purposefully invented for cultural re-education etc. But what we need more are solutions so as not to get desperate. Otherwise it might seem like they are winning. If anybody needs some resources - Voddie Baucham, McArthur, Sensus Fidelium and as of recently for me also Elliott Hulse, Jordan Peterson.
Further reading about social movement in the church is "William Louis Poteat: A leader of the Progressive-era south." He was a founder of Wake Forest and head of the Southern Baptist convention in early 1900's. He progressed Darwinism and the eugenics. I look forward to reading about Joseph Fletcher. Thank you and if you could give a reading list for the books used in your podcast would be appreciated.
had a discussion with a deacon the other day about Psalm 118, this is the day....i pointed out he had used it out of context and he said well it could be about salvation but bla bla bla. yes when leaders reject hermeneutics we cannot expect much from the pew
@Scott Huffman/ if you are surprised at that you will be knocked out of your socks when you find out how many people who call themselves "Christians" have more evidence to indict them as Idolaters and heathens than would ever be found to indict them as true unadulterated biblical original Christians!!!
I'm continually amazed by that John Hostetler. I grew up thinking everybody that attended church was a saved Christian. In recent years I'm beginning to understand that when Jesus talked about how few will choose the narrow path, he really meant "few."
@@scotthuffman3916 My mind is constantly blown away when I consider that truth, which is almost daily. Having said that, it's eaiser to cope with, knowing this was foretold; but as you well know, it doesn't make living through it any less scary and mind-boggling. Love to you in Christ, brother. 🥰
Hey, you guys are completely on the right track, THANK YOU for your courage. Plus, large amounts of soy are terrible for everyone, and non-Asian people especially.
Did I understand correctly when the guest suggests churches should "stand up for something" meaning participating politically as the way forward? What in the world? It should be repentance and seeking God in such a way that the Spirit of God fills each believer's heart so much that the proclamation of the Gospel is done with power from heaven and not just intellectual tools. No?
@@rooreeves Absolutely! Women can use their influence to support their pastors, and respect their husbands before other women (especially young women!) and promote marriage as a beautiful union instituted by God.
Facts: Lincoln was a communist and an intimate fan and penpal of Karl Marx. George Washington and Benjamin Franklin (and others) were the founders of American freemasonry (i.e. the working hidden hand of communism) and proto-communist revolutionaries, but they were not the founders of America. (America was founded two hundred years earlier under God and King with the Mayflower Compact). FDR was an intimate fan and penpal of Joseph Stalin (as was Churchill) and with Stalin fought for and won the communist takeover of over half of Europe. Etc...
Orthodox Christianity is experiencing wonderful and sustainable growth with many new young families. It's an authentic and rigorous path to salvation with ancient roots and tremendous spiritual power. Orthodox art, liturgy, architecture, sacred music, and society-transforming culture are all alive and thriving.
Starting at 35:35 Mr Louden says "tenant" twice. Please, please, PLEASE Americans and anyone else, PLEASE stop saying tenant, PLEASE! The word is tenet. It's unbelievable how many highly educated people in America say it wrong. Even Ben Shapiro says it, and he's Harvard-educated. Aside from that, though, this video is astounding.
You know, as a Marxist-Socialist who's left the Catholic church, I was really sad and afraid. All my friends had Socialist tendencies, I'd been disabused of the notion that "there is no alternative to Capitalism" from video essays, radical social shifts against Capitalism and the Police where happening across the US, but it still kinda felt like Socialists were losing the fight. I kinda became doubtful that Marxist policies could ever be implemented in the place where I call home. And then I watched this video. Wow. I felt so, so empowered. This Trevor Loudon guy, he so clearly and directly outlines the history of Marxism in the US, people in the US that are adopting Socialist ideologies even within the Evangelical Church, and that the love of feminist inter-sectional Socialism is healing the church from the inside! I've never heard someone explain so clearly, albeit disdainfully, the views of white privilege. Making us sound like such a scary, inevitable threat was unintentionally empowering. I actually... feel great? If even within the Evangelical Church of all places, Marxist values can be adopted to transform the world into a slightly better, more caring, more loving place... then that's a good reason to tear up and smile. Thank you guys, and hope love comes to free you all - and I mean that. We are all allies under Marxism, with the only enemy being inter-sectional Capitalism itself
Yes we need a society that care for the less society. Those advocating that are accumulating money to destroy their source. Socialism and communism have never helped any poor. Even in that system the class struggle is real read the Charles Dickens books on animal farm. Unfortunately the so called christians don't read the Scriptures.

The Cuban Literacy Program of 1961 raised the adult literacy rate from 21% to 70%. Now the literacy rate is at 99.6%. Socialist policies are helping people as we speak. Labor unions that secure safety standards are socialist, soup kitchens and mutual aid centers are socialist, Medicare programs are socialist, Social Security is socialist. I have an idea for Christians: Why don’t we stop talking about race and start talking about the gospel. Why? Because man looks on the outward appearance in God looks on the heart.
He's being very broad. The Midwest has had socialist elements, but it is not the major influence that he suggests. There may have been Marxists join the Republican Party, but they were not the main movers. I wish he would site his sources. The Republicans broke from the dying Whig Party. Meanwhile, Democratic Jacksonianism was very strong. They had a very moral view of uniting the country. They also were anti-slavery which split the north-south Whigs. Per the rest, Loudon is pretty spot on.
The Trojan horse of the the evangelical seminary system that fed the pulpit that led the congregation, and so on and so forth. But the “ young, restless and reformed “ celebrity preaching gave it a face and swallowed a entire generation.
You are speaking of the Word of Faith Prosperity NAR crowd. Very deceptive. Seeker Sensitive or Seeker Friendly. Name It & Claim It. A New Age mentality with a few Bible verses thrown in the mix. Have you heard of The Messed Up Church channel??
I am only eleven minutes in and it confirms what I have heard and thought about religion and how the church has gone sweet and sour not salt and light with the exception of those that are sticking to the fundamentals, sound doctrine, core Christian beliefs of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Okay, back to the interesting interview with your guest who I have heard of from other channels. Nice to see him here. First time I have heard him speak and this was three years ago. 😆 New here. History tells us that these influences have used the church for their political agendas. WWII era. Love the bio of Bonhoeffer.

But in different ways! Which is the essential point being made. It is a result of the steady undermining of the role of fathers, and the loss of 'good dads' in families over the past 50 or so years.

I’m shocked that such a discerning man would align himself with the heretical, Mormon Glenn Beck! We must fight the good fight with the Spirit of God. Not with the political clout power of men like Beck, who think Jesus Christ was the “spirit brother of Lucifer”; men who think they are becoming Gods! Something tells me that God dislikes that as much as Marxism!
It is definitely crazy not to tell the truth. However, it is understandable since we have all grown up in the concept of "Faith". That is, holding ideas to be true without good evidence. This is essentially a hypocritical conversation. Not good example to model after.
Not true, there is a battle going on, but it is not completely all done. Look into Voddie Baucham, McArthur. Trump talked about sth Christian, hopefully people can get through to that man a bit more. Putin for that matter also meets up with the patriarch, which is not bad, after Christianity was persecuted by the socialists there for so long. Many new converts who are finding the truth. One can not just go into church and relax and think now the pastor will do the work. Important to know - this is how socialists attacked the churches: they send a lot of orthodox priests to the gulags and without the head of the Churches the people were in disarray. So you might want to have your God believing family or some disciples nearby, who somehow hold these values up.
@@TheShamuraja In my town ..... ALL of the 7 churches have gone Marxist and they don't teach the men is the leader of the family anymore.
