Can we discuss the part the Colleges played in him getting away with rape and murder for so many years? Hiding their sport star's crimes didn't only take justice from his early victims, but it allowed him to go on to commit murder. I feel that the parents should sue those Colleges.

This feels like an ongoing issue in US colleges. They should not be allowed to continue "handling these things in-house". SO many serial killers have, as a part of their story, getting away with things for longer because colleges won't or don't get the police involved.

Can we discuss the fact that the whole society appreciates jocks more than any female, and works to protect rapists against the raped, so much so that boys learn from early stages that women are just things to be used, and there are no consequences? So much so that they get upset and depressed when there are any consequences. Jesse Matthew didn't see his victims as human beings. A lot of men don't.

Yes or no questions in court can be used to slant the truth. I refused to answer just yes or no, was threatened with contempt of court. I explained just yes or no was not the “whole truth” as i had sworn to tell, and they let me explain. Whew! It was frightening, but the real truth was told. The fact this guy had a scholarship & couldn’t follow it through (so proud standing by a yellow cab, 🙄) & accused of rape & twice ‘said’ it was consensual & not charged, let him go on with the only interest this huge loser pos had, overpowering young women & killing them. WHAT I can't understand is how did this boy become so evil that even it's parent or parents did NOT realize he was 'out-of-control' with his demeanor, chasing after young girls for his sexual pleasure is outrageous. Surely, the parent(s) were aware their son was NOT NORMAL. They should have seeked help for his problem or educated him of the rights and wrong things in life at an early age. Every parent should do that with their children explaining the consequences of their uncontrolled actions. We need to take responsibility as parents. Young girls out alone surely, they would know better. Being well educated doesn't seem to work and wearing limited clothing that attracts the opposite sex is a danger to themselves. Parents with daughters need to be stricter about letting their daughters walk alone - there's 'bad wolf's' prowling in the forest, BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!!

Because of all the woke ideology being pushed into our court systems, the criminals seem to have more rights than victims!! It is absurd!! Not only that, but Biden has opened our southern border WIDE OPEN and we have MILLIONS of people flooding in from third world countries, that don't even have identification!! What the hell??!! South and Central American countries are literally emptying their jails and prisons, then helping to facilitate transportation for these people to come to our doorstep, bc they don't want them back in their communities!! These are the kind who evade border patrol and weasel their way into our communities!! These officials are taking advantage of us having an old senile corrupt "President", who really isn't making many of the decisions, but the American hating leftists are behind the scenes working with China and Soros and destroying this country!!! THIS is why SO MANY Americans LOVE Trump!!! He wants to protect our country from being invaded, but the Obama appointed judges and Democrats fight him at every turn!!!

I question the theme here that these criminals make "mistakes" for which they are caught. Large chunks of their lives are completely off the map morally. They are more giant walking mistakes than they are people. In both these cases, it's cops and the justice system who make mistakes repeatedly until they finally get just enough right to stop these malicious killers. The most compelling puzzle portrait at the end is not of some interesting killer, but of universities, police departments and courts that could prevent these cases ever materializing, if they'd just have better policies about dealing with the abuse of women, be they physically threatened wives or university students with assault complaints.

Sometimes there is a prime person of interest or suspect, often for years, but having enough evidence to convict at trial is key.

It should’ve never been treated as if she ran away because the only person saying she did shouldn’t have been anywhere near her to make those claims in the first place. They didn’t investigate the man at all, just said he had an alibi and left it at that until his friend visited him in prison. You obviously would start investigating his close associates if you were investigating him at all. If they’d been on it like they should’ve been from the beginning they may have been able to retrieve her body. Did they even check phone records? I’m sure he spoke to those people a lot.

I also called it like that, masks tailored to manipulate people. These masks exist from the very beginning, it’s not that they suddenly change; when you met them, they were already wearing a mask. If they had observed you previously, they were probably wearing one made for you and when you are not interesting for them anymore then they just change their mask. They lack of empathy, remorse, guilt, deep thoughts, or deep feelings. They don’t care if they harm you, it can even feed their need for power and success so they can even like to be cruel to you. They are hurt inside and frustrated. They feel frequently envy towards others. This is because they cannot connect to others like a normal person, and they have felt a lot of rejection in the past. So they are in certain way obsessed by socializing, being socially successful and powerful. Money and power can offer them superiority on others, since naturally others don’t want to connect with them. Be careful to all the signals before you establish any relation with them. They won’t have any problem to destroy you when they do not longer need you. They are manipulative and master liars. They also prefer to lie even if there’s no need to do it, either by cowardice or because they feel superior by lying to others. They can also be reckless, impulsive, and goofy, because they don’t see danger, so they can get you into trouble, even if they don’t want to. However, they are not immature, they are monsters, they do not care for others, and they do not change. There is neither cure nor therapy against that personality, it is intrinsic to the brain.

I honestly hate when people equate horrible men to nature's killers. Predators in nature, are VERY aware of the surroundings, of the other prey animals, or the landscape, etc, because they need to be successful to survive, & even the apex predators of the world have low success rates pretty often, but also because if they screw up & get wounded, they could die from that. And while there has always been some confusion about humans & animals, serial killers aren't apex predators, they are monsters, & while there are animals that use violence & even war within their own lives, like some chimpanzee groups, & there are even animals that will rape other animals, like ducks, we humans have the most opportunities to analyze the world, & so when we choose to be monsters, its far worse than an animal hunting to live.

Back in the eighties there was a guy robbing stores on my end of town. I went in the neighborhood store and the sketch was up. Looked just like me. :) fortunately they knew me well . Was quite the joke every timeI went in there.

The dude didn't make a mistake. If there is no plan or scheme, you can't make a mistake anyways. He was just lucky for a long time until his luck ran out. But it goes to show how long you can go undetected even if you don't clean up after your murder. However, that window of luck gets smaller and smaller with improvements in forensics. One of the most recent advances is creating face images from DNA. That makes it harder and harder to go undetected if you are sloppy and it increases the required cleaning effort if you have a plan for the murder. That won't prevent crimes in the future, but there is an increased chance to catch a perpetrator before the second murder.

You are assuming that the lady who you saw on screen was the lip reader... Police, documentary makers often use actors/models as stand ins for people who have their identity protected, record the interview and get someone else to read the words like a script. Lastly they add the sound and video together later. If it's really the lady they can alter how they look with wigs, prosthetics, makeup, stage props, etc. I doubt they would show any of the real lady lip reader. Blessings, Dot

Save yourself an hour and a half of your life. There are two stories included in this video. The second story is about 45 minutes in and that’s the story is where Metallica offers a 50k award for information leading to the arrest of the person guilty of murdering a young college student. While I agree that these women deserve a right to have their stories be told, and they deserve to be remembered, using click bait is shallow and not a proper way to go about telling their stories…and no one appreciates it!

One of the conclusions I carry from true crime videos, there is no criminal "look". A criminal and an innocent both can be beautiful or ugly, they can look weird or have kind eyes. There is totally merit in intuition, I'm not denying that. But I don't believe in actual "cold calculating eyes" or anything like that. I'm as neurotypical as one can be, so I should be able to read at least some of that, and yet I won't see a criminal mind behind anybody's peepers unless I'm told they are a criminal. (I refuse to see ugly people as evil, as they are often comically painted. I saw ugly as heck criminals, but I also know nice people who are terrible to look at, at least at the first sight). I mean, detectives are TRAINED to discern lies, and they know that these techniques are only supplemental to whatever data they receive and analyse from the interviewee words and documented deeds. A trained professional can't be certain they have a criminal in front of them just by looking at them, or even by chatting with them on routine innocuous topics. With that in mind, I know I have zero chance just seeing evil intentions and histories. With people moving and speaking, with surrounding data there is a slim chance for me to discern a predator, but just from a photo - come on, it's impossible. What made me say all that, is so, so many criminals look fine, or they have pleasant faces, they look like your friend neighborhood passer by. Just like criminals here.

My dad was an alcoholic but kept his engineering job till we were in last few yrs of HS when Mom divorced him. But my Mom was hardworking & educated, mostly any time he tried to fight with her, if he didn’t run she would whip his but*, she was an ex farm girl, just very strong & quick! We learned from her & none of us girls married an alcoholic or abuser. Rest in heaven’s beauty & love Arlene. 🙏❤️

Metallica played no substantive role in the investigation of either case covered on this video. Their only connection to either case was that one of the victims was kidnapped and murdered after leaving a Metallica concert, and put up a reward for information that would solve the murder, which never was collected. The headline for this video is mere clickbait - not a good look for either the channel or RU-vid.

The Laws in the UK, Scotland, Canada, and Australia are quite different than in the US when given a Life Setence? I read about a Murder Case where the guy Served a minimum of 7 years! Proving Insanity isn't as difficult and when Psychiatrists deem the Patient Sane, they are released back into the public, instead of transferring them into a Prison to serve their Sentence. This Husband clearly Conspired and Pre-Meditated the Murder of his wife, destroying her corpse and Evidence which additional Charges should have been added to his Original Charges? Not only this, he previously attempted to Murder her by means of strangulation. However, she was able to fight back, filing Charges obtaining a Protective Order and Divorce papers. This is the most Critical and Dangerous time for a Woman who suffers from DV! Victims are at the Highest Risk of becoming Murder Victims and need Protection when they press charges, or file for Protective Orders, or Divorce? His Cowardly Accomplices actually got away with Being Charged and Prison Sentences! Shame on Prosecutors! These Cowards committed Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder! I wonder if they're Father's? If they have Daughters? If they close their eyes at night before going to sleep and don't hear her screams to live? Ihope they'll never stop hearing her begging for her life? "Please! I never hurt You? Why are you doing this to me? Please don't kill me? I'll do anything you want? Just let me go home to my babies"? How can they live with themselves? Maybe one night it will be too much if ever one of them grows a conscience? Can the Prosecution?
