This may sound stupid but the part where I don’t understand is that when primordial germ cells divide into oocytes, how exactly are mitochondria distributed? Why is it that when primordial germ cell has 20 mitochondria, why do oocytes have only 10 mitochondria each? Aren’t they supposed to have also 20 each?
Thank you so much for allowing us access to this information. It has always been my dream to study at either MIT or Harvard, and I hope to one day take the micro master's credentials after my bachelor's degree and get into a master's program and then into medicine or law.
