Korai Kitchen, a Bangladeshi restaurant run by a mother-daughter duo, is drawing national attention despite both not having any professional restaurant experience. Their mission is to highlight the rich food and culture of Bangladesh.

Their dawat menu is priced at $90 per person for 8 items, it isn’t a fine dining place, how is that affordable? Their food is really good and the customer service is the best part about them, I usually do the take out from them but I do wish they worked on pricing for sit down menu so that more people feel encouraged to visit 😊

Many Bangladeshi unique things overlapped and ultimately hidden by India and Indian culture. I am a Bangladeshi- American . when someone asked me where are you from, I say" Bangladesh" ...he / she react as if they never heard of this country. , I am not bothered by that reaction at all. I just think he or she just never went to school . Every middle school, high school taught Geography. BTW I am from Florida , I will visit this restaurant very soon.

I started to visit Korai Kitchen prior to Covid when they had the buffet and it was amazing, the price point was reasonable too. Since Covid hit, they returned on take out basis & I moved so now I just do the occasional takeout. As a Bangladeshi American I am really happy for this family and their achievement but the dawat menu at $90/pp is a bit steep for average people, I do wish the management would look into it and reconsider

In Bangladeshi cuisine, people use spices lightly. Unlike west Bengal cuisine, Bangladeshi people use onion in almost every dish. But I don't think, it is "totally different". The people of both places are basically the same ethnicity and culture (if you ignore religious part).

Yes there is nothing called Bangladeshi cusine, but there is Chatgaiya cuisine, Dhakaiya Cuisine, Noakhaila Cuisine, Sylheti, North Bengal, Pahari existed.
