Lost my dad to this 10 years ago and the saddest thing I often think of is I can't remember what he sounded like, like properly sounded like before he got ill and I can't get the voice he had at the end from my memory

my best friend with centronuclear myopathy died early this year in april 2022, he was a very lovable and affable man and had the most friendly and unique voice, i could talk to him for days for both his humour and his kindness as well, thanks for this video, i still have video clips and audio clips of us playing videogames together where i can hear his voice among our other friends online, cheers to all and best wishes to all my family has been donating to food banks every year for many years, and last year and i will continue every year i have donated now also to funds for people with especially motor disabilities of all kinds, and it is in memory of my best friend always

Remarkable. We have a man in Australia who has this nasty M N D. He was a bit of a star on the Football field. Each year now there is a Prime match which raises Millions of Dollars literally on that day & raises awareness. He is fairly advances but struggles to go on each year. He is not mobile but is driven to go on for his family & for the thousands of fans that urge him on. Sadly I think it's coming to the time where he will be feeling terribly the constraints of M N D. I think that it is one of the most hideous & frightening thing. I'm praying 🙏🏼 for your guest today & all those that are suffering with this.

What's the cost? Also is it a one time cost of on going? If the person can't pay they lose their voice again. People with these issues have a much higher tendency of being lower income or have of medical Bill's that drain their income ect.

Mom died from this disease a decade ago. Oh how I wish I had a way to hear her again. 🥲 There's still no effective treatment for it, but at least now families can still listen to the voices. It's a brutal way to die. Still haunts me.
