This video had me in tears! Spay and nueter your animals! These dogs dont deserve this! They need to have loving families and homes! I wish I was rich as I would adopt them All and give them tons of love! I live on a fixed income though but I pray for them every morning and night! So sorry about the loss of your beloved dog. And great name for a dog. I say that because my dog's name is McKenna. Named after a brand of whiskey, same color. She's shep+pit+lab+? Full of fun, ton of trouble. Again I'm sorry for the loss of your McKenna. I'm sure he was a Great dog. And a very generous gesture to Camper Cares. Nikki you picked the neediest place in the country to help. Half a million rez strays is spot on. My dog Rajah was one of them. Shot and left in a dump. After nearly not making it he grew into a beloved, happy, wonderful boy. Thank you for giving so many more a chance.

My current Good Boy was adopted at our local shelter. He was pretty much full grown and had trust issues with men, but took a liking to me for some reason, so I took him home!

Nikki, thank you for what you and Camper do. I am so impressed with the work that Underdog does - for a group of reactive dogs, they have done wonders. Our three-legged Beagle-Cavalier mix died this year at the age of 16! Ellie was adopted from a shelter and was the sweetest and healthiest dog we’ve ever had. You are doing a wonderful thing for the dog and yourself by adopting from a shelter.

I enjoy your videos and the wonderful scenery immensely . You and Camper make a lovely team and he met just the right person that fateful day. I also feel there was a little bit of rescuing from camper too. I have a little rescue Siamese girl , she is now the happiest and most relaxed cat who, like camper, is very much loved. To anyone thinking of rescuing an abandoned animal just do it , it isn't always smooth sailing but boy it's rewarding seeing your new pet respond.

I'm with you on buying land and adopting dogs. I learned that many counties or cities limit how many dogs and the vets prices are to the moon. Not only do you need to check the property, make sure to check the laws so you can enjoy your pups in peace and fun. Also check vet prices in the areas you like. Pack your pups and head out for fun. Nikki does that rescue also work with the “people” that are irresponsible by not spade & neutering their “pets” by educating them how important it is. That is the core source of the problem. Just getting real here. I know first hand how res life can be because I’ve delivered to reservations for 30 years and have had hundreds of encounters with mainly pit bulls on the loose.

It’s great you’re doing a wonderful job. Strays are a community issue, it’s humans failing the animals. Please be kinder to shelters. They have the toughest job to take in dogs and have to clean up everyone else’s failure. If i worked in a shelter I’d lose faith in humanity within hours.
