i wouldn't call something a mistake unless your life is in dangour or other peoples lives or you have been harmed somewhow... otherwise it's just life decisions and choices , some are better lol and you learn but not necessarily mistakes.

I am 65 years old. When ever I see younger people trying to build up their ideal lives I think, "Oh dear. Do they realize the bumps life is going to send their way." It is just in the nature of life for things to go sideways from time to time and a few not-so-great roads to be explored. Wishing you all the best in the coming year.

OBSERVATION AND SUGGESTION And let me add, the things that we worry about when we're young are just a drop in the bucket of life. We spend too much time worrying...comparing...building our own roadblocks insead of roadmaps. The way to look at is dont shame and guilt and eventually define yourself by what you didnt do, but look at what youve done. How different the tone and vibe of this video would take if it was about all that you did do and not what you feel you didnt do. The choices you made were yours at that time, but these are learning lessons whether right or wrong. What you learned is that social media can be a blessing and a curse. A curse bc u compare and compete against and chase a false reality. Imo, first off, you must embrace your inner self, know who you are, where do you get your core, be happy in your skin. You cant change who you are and you cant change anybody else.

Eva, have you noticed how many of your followers are old folks? I'm 86 years old. We admire you. You have done what most of us really deep down would have loved to have done in our long lives. For instance, I spent the first 19 years of my life doing what my parents wanted, the next 25 years being a Navy-wife doing mostly what he wanted me to do, the next 20 years doing what i thought i wanted to do, and then ten years doing the life of being a helpful sister, and now i am doing what i really love doing. I have spent time learning!!!! I really should have gone on to college and pushed myself to learn more. You see, there are sections to your life. You are in one of those sections. Make the most of it. You are learning first hand. That's good. If chaos is good for you, well you will learn from it. That's ok. Put that chin up. If you feel like sharing with us, do it. If not, don't. You are very good at it. The day, sections down your road when you can sit still and pull it all together and write a book about it, but right now you are still in the learning section. Oh, and sometimes a dog is the very best relationship you can have. Enjoy it!!!!

This is a hard comment to write. However, there is something that I must point out. Eva, although your year didn't work out as planned, let me assure you that it could have been far worse. I'm a 70 year old single man, living in Canada. The last member of my family died 8 months ago. The last of my friends died two days ago. I've been mobility-handicapped for six years now. Four months ago, while crossing a crosswalk, I got hit by a car at 50 kph that was being driven by a distracted driver. Afterward, while seeing a myriad of specialists for surgery, severe wounds, broken bones and physiotherapy, etc., and with all of the resultant CT and MRI Scans, X-Rays and blood work that were ordered, it was discovered that I now have (treatable) thyroid cancer. So my point to you, Eva, is don't feel sorry for yourself. You hold your head up high, be the best person you can be, take care of yourself, take care of your companion, Vilk, and if things don't go your way... move on. Don't ever stop being the best version of yourself. Take care. I wish you all the best in life.

I agree with the other reply's here. I'm 73 and have responded recently about your move from the US. In my experience don't spend too much time on regrets, and don't set your goals in so solid. To me the life you have chosen is more about freedom. I have lived that life and the advice I would have is if you don't have some roots (a place to go back too and recharge) find a way to get some. That was my log cabin in the mountains of Oregon. I got it when I was about your age. Not much invested but for me roots helped me a bunch (Just knowing it was there) Also learn to take the door that opens if it is something you want to do, don't plan too much. I still love to go to the cabin. Keep going and enjoy 2024.

Hey Eva, I don't know if you'll read this message, but I wanted to tell you that each of your new videos is a positive shock for me, something I currently don't see on social media. It's like a breath of fresh air, and I breathe thanks to you. Why? Because I feel literally like you... Your video speaks to me in a very personal way. I love your authenticity - it gives me the motivation I lost, especially after losing my beloved mom earlier this year. This loss made everything else seem insignificant, even the dream job I landed. For months, nothing could lift my spirits or bring me any joy. But your videos have sparked something in me. They reminded me that there are people out there who understand and share similar experiences. You've inspired me to start my own RU-vid channel, to find my voice and share my story. Thank you for being a beacon of hope and authenticity in a world that often feels disconnected. Your courage and honesty have given me the strength to embrace my journey and to start creating again. Stay strong. Amen.

Yes, this year was way too much for me to handle. 1. Had to quit job. 2. Had to lose a eprson who i felt was life for me. 3. No savings at all, too many expenses - two major accidents, lost many things such as mobile phone, got robbed. 4. Anger issues 5. Depression not moving out at all styaing inside house a lot. 6. No one to say out loud. 7. Every single day was like hard ro pass. Thank you for motivating even if you would never see my comment. I have been watching you for a long time. Fingers crossed this year will be great. I am having my tears dropping out of my eyes.

Thank you for posting this. You will probably never know how many people benefited from your honesty, from hearing that a woman who seems to have such a perfect life of adventure and independence might feel unsuccessful or unfulfilled. But know this: The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I'm turning 62 in a few days. I have had some incredible adventures, but I also decided at a very young age to link my life to someone I love, whom I've been fortunate enough to spend most of the past 44 years (!!!) with, with whom I have three children. It's been a life of compromise, and eventually became far more settled than I dreamed of when I was young. You might look at me and think I have a perfect life, but I look at your freedom and sense of adventure and think you do. In the end, both of us share an enemy: the idea that the perfect life exists. Be well, take care of yourself, and cut yourself a break. You deserve it.

But what if the "journey of life" leads you to a place or circumstance which is harmful? Of course, each circumstance in life is an opportunity for learning, but I don't think that life has a "need" to lead you to any particular circumstance, and doesn't necessarily cause you to be in a circumstance in which you are "supposed" to be. In rationally / logically evaluating where you are, or are going, in life, it is possible to arrive at conclusions that are incorrect or harmful.

I am a mere 3-minutes into your video, and I can tell you, at the age of 60, that I did not feel that I "hit my stride" in life until I hit my 50's! Further, when I was your age, I also had profound doubts about which direction I should take for the "bigger picture". Now, I raise Monarch butterflies (my mantra is simple: Raise. Release. Repeat), hold copyrights in music, literature, and photography, and am a senior officer on two local nonprofit board of officers. I only wish to reassure you, dear sister, that living takes labor. It is as simple as that. However, you may extend your blessings upon your life by having a creative energy that the rising sun looks forward to. Also, it's great to still see Vilk happy and helping you keep your balance. Sting said it best in his song An Englishman in New York; "Be yourself, no matter what they say".

Eva, my dad recently passed away. He left you two words... BE AUTHENTIC. He was a visitation pastor ministering to the sick and dying. I am 52 years old and I was just rereading some of my journals that I kept when I was in my 20s… I have to say that I literally had a jaw dropping experience when I read these entries last night… The things I was writing about and looking to understand, and the directions I wanted to go in, are exactly the same as they are today. Almost word for word… And I hadn’t looked at those diaries in decades… Just crazy when you realize that you have an essence. Just keep being yourself… a person, by the way, that I absolutely enjoy listening to, and who really makes me think and even dream, despite our age difference. I’d much rather watch you than anything on TV ❤️

I felt a lot of sadness watching this video, primarily because I could relate. When I was young, it was not OK to be myself because people were always criticizing, offering their opinion on what I should do or just judging what I was doing. When we are not confident and strong in ourselves, we allow the outside world to dictate our inside world. Now I’m 55 years old and I really don’t care what people think. It took a while! 😂There’s a quote that says “I am who I am” and that’s really the truth of it, we are who we are at the core, embrace who you are, love who you are. Don’t ever let anybody try to change you. They are not your friend. You are so perfect just the way and not because you don’t make mistakes but because you’re you AND When that special person comes in your life they should be like the cherry on top of Sunday just adding richness to your life And above all be your best friend. Stay strong and embrace yourself Eva you are amazing!

Thank you doesn’t say enough for sharing this hard year. I too have had the worst year of my 47! I found out my spouse of 25 years has been living a double life and being unfaithful. When you said to trust your gut, that is what I’m kicking myself over. Because the last 12 years have been a lie and we have 4 kids that have to suffer the fallout. The quote about the dark side and new beginnings really spoke to me. I need to write it down. But it helped me to know I’m not alone in this very very lonely sad time. Eva, I have traveled the world, going places so few will ever see. I have done things, so few will ever do. When I set my mind to doing something that would take a year or longer to do just for the experience of it, I done it. The only thing is, ALL of the above was only accomplished in my dreams. YOU have actually done what the majority of people ON THIS EARTH will never do in reality but dream of doing their entire lifetime. So, please understand that even though things have not gone to plan, you will forever be known by MILLIONS of people as the person who has lived their dreams by the time you were 32 years old. How many can say that? That is not something to regret. That is an incredible accomplishment. I am 50 years old and disabled so I will not be able to do most of what I planned on doing before I die. When the day comes and I am on my death bed, when I am thinking about the things I have done in my life, I just pray that it is at least 2% of what you have already done with yours. Thank you for being out there doing the things I dream of doing and thank you for posting your adventures so I can visualize what it might be like if I could have ever done it myself.

Nah, her last mate was 30 years older than her and pressuring her to settle while he plays outside. She must grow up so he can play. This is also her sole income and personality. Plenty of men that don't want kids that'd appreciate her personality and freespirit. Women don't dim their sparks because the guys hate the brightness, a man that feeds them will be kept warm.
@tomanderson6140
@tomanderson6140 5 месяцев назад
Her selfishness is the issue with any relationship, I promise. She wants to do what she wants when she wants and have no obligations to anyone while the other person supports her needs selflessly. That's not how it works. Long-term relationships are a forcing function toward maturity and realizing that you have to compromise and not always get your way. Not only that, but supporting others actually is fulfilling, rather than viewing the needs of others as burdens. Sounds to me like she has decided that self-absorbed and chaotic is "just her nature," and she wants to double down on it. Maybe, but then don't get into relationships at all, or at least be up front that anyone thinking long-term with you is wasting their time. We see so much of this these days, when people come to believe that rather than continuing the tried-and-true human embracing of various social roles at different levels of the human hierarchy -- wife, mother, daughter, entrepreneur, etc -- their own self expression and adventure is the height of being. And then they wonder why they feel lost. I think she's hoping to find a therapist that will simply validate her approach of radical individualism, whereas in reality she'd be better off considering what therapists like Jordan Peterson have to say about the relationship between happiness and societal roles. Note that I say "consider," because his are the strongest arguments against the approach that she's taken so far, and I say this as an atheist who ignores Peterson on religious matters while understanding that tradition exists because of the social wiring we've evolved with. In the end of such examination she might come to fully embrace a "chaotic" life, but for now she seems as adrift as anyone else who thinks that "being true to yourself" with radical individualism and self expression is the height of human existence. Her videos are interesting, but I find nothing at all in terms of greener pastures to envy here. I see a lot of comments about how people wish they could live like this, which just shows how many lost and confused people are out there.
