@@torpedoLaw great information. My family is to moving closer to the parks. I like hearing about the ups and downs. Learning what to expect. I hope the neighborhood we move to has more of a small town feel.
When you said "the experiences you've given your children as a mother" my face lit up! That is the #1 reason why I chose flordia. We are moving by early 2022. I am so excited for my children to just experience life. We live in Delaware and it's not much to do. We also love diversity in flordia as well. You guys rock and we're bringing our family of eight down soon🥰 Awesome channel. Keep up the great work!
@@FloridaWithFive You guys made all these "We moved to Florida from Wisconsin and love it" "And winters in Wisconsin suck, we hated it soooooo much" prancing around Florida videos and then moved back to Wisconsin within a year and a half. WTF!!!! You moved back to Wisconsin because you couldn't handle leaving your little small town safety bubble. And quit bullshitting your RU-vid subscribers that you moved back to small town Wisconsin because of Lindsey's pregnancy and being around all the doctors that know her. That's a load of crap...you know it and I know it. Your children didn't adapt to the public schools and your wife couldn't handle being away from her small town comfort zone, period. You should have either homeschooled your children or put them in private school. There are a number of people (subscribers) that probably took your word and moved to Florida, and you guys bailed on them. Quit making stupid RU-vid videos and go take care of your children and your family. Good luck to you guys and your children. I don't mean to sound harsh but the truth is sometimes not very kind.
Im moving to Florida in 2021, just me and my daughter, im taking that big leap of faith, we are excited and cant wait to do all the exciting adventures and meeting new friends.
@@abrothers5178 im going to go visit like 2 weeks before making the move, to look for a townhome and checking out areas in Kissimmee, Davenport or Orlando, i should be going june , i want to move there by July - 1 - 2021. Your kids will enjoy Florida, what area u moving to.
I’m moving to Florida with my daughter next year in the early summer of ‘22. It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for at least 10 years now, and I’ll finally be in a position to make that leap. We currently live in a tiny country town in rural Minnesota, and I’m most excited about how this will drastically change my daughter’s life and give her more opportunities and experiences that I never had growing up. I’m not sure yet what city, but I’ll be transferring with my job so I’m thinking it’ll be Pensacola, ft lauderdale, St. Petersburg, or ft Myers
I am too moving to Tampa with my two daughters this summer 2022.. good luck to you best decision I think I’ve made to relocate in years.. I’ve wanted this for the past five years just been nervous to do so.. but now LETS GO😎😎😎
Moving to Florida is my absolute dream. It's been my dream since I was 15. I'm from New York City currently living in Georgia and Florida gives me the diversity of New York City without paying New York City prices. I went to Florida for the first time last year and I'll be back there on vacation in June. I looooove Florida.
Can’t wait to move to Florida again I lived there from 13-16 now at 26 I have a wife and kids in New York and we’re trying to have a life in Florida I’m excited 😝
Here from rural Indiana. Ready for a change in 2021. I can imagine living near a beach. In college I lived near a river and it NEVER got old can imagine living near a beach
I can't believe you 2 used to be introverts. You guys are so open, honest and fun to be with. You bring joy to those of us who are your fans. Keep up the wonderful work! 😍👏
This yooper turned wisconsin native is about to move to northern fl with my autistic daughter. New roots. Let's go. Glad to see this video as I'm nervous lol
Just subscribed to your channel . My fiance and I have been planning on moving to Florida within the next year or 2...we have a 2 year old son and I'm currently pregnant. We live in Massachusetts and grew up miserable here so we want to change that for our children. Thank you for making these videos
We hate the cold anymore, today we woke up to 34 degrees. I was sad and kind of down until the sun came out but it is still super cold like winter. In May we move to Florida permanently and are so excited. We rented a home in Bradenton Beach, we have a view of the pond outside our kitchen doors, and are 10 minutes from the beach. We are from the North (Maryland) but we are nice people who just don't fit in any more. I cant wait to be in Florida already!!!
This is the first video I’ve come across on your channel and I just subscribed! I love listening to you guys! My husband and I are considering moving our little family!
Awesome! We are glad that you enjoyed! Let us know if you have any questions at all! We also have a facebook group that is a great resource for those considering a move to Florida! The link is in the description of all our videos. 😊
I am semi retired and will be moving to Melbourne by the end of summer 2023. Can't wait. I have family in both Melbourne and Ocala. Keep up the great videos
I just enjoy all your videos. You really help with my mood and we will be moving next spring! Thank you for doing these. I'm sharing this to my husband right now lol.
I have wanted to move to Florida for many years... Now that I'm happily divorced it's about to happen... I have visited Florida 4xs most recently being last summer for my birthday... Florida is a whole VIBE... June 2025... 🥰🥰🥰
I recently retired from da city of Shitcago and am planning to buy in SW Florida in near future. But I hav to admit I'm a lil nervous about Florida storms especially da hurricanes 😳
When people live up north they want to move down to Florida. After living in Florida for two summers they want to move back home. The break point is when they become sick of the burning sun, extreme heat and humidity, rain, thunderstorms, mosquitos, bugs, snakes, allergies and depleted savings.
@@milliesecond102 I lived in Boise area most of my life and don't get me wrong. Idaho is ok. Inversions in winter months are almost unbearable. Pollution plus up to 30 days with freezing Temps, no sun , day after day of freezing fog. Property values are through the roof. And it's in the middle of nowhere.
Thank you! I am sick of the gray sky here in Western WA, so I guess I'll keep looking south. Honestly, I'd move back to California for the weather (where my whole family lives) but I hate the taxation without representation - if you know what I mean 😕.
@@milliesecond102 I have lived in the west my whole life and know it quite well. Idaho just isn't worth the hype. For the same money you can live in any smaller town in Colorado. It is my absolute favorite western place. Scenery is the best. Climate is awesome 4 seasons. And you're not trapped in the middle of nowhere. Good luck to you! I chose Florida because I don't like winter. But Colorado is heavily!
On your next video, can you address the home insurance crisis that is happening in Florida? I think it’s a very important component in determining home ownership affordability. Thank you. Love your videos. 🥰
Great vid guys, great that you want to give your kids diversity, thats awesome!!! Funny enough I am an intravert as well but I fake being an extravert when in a group 🙂
Yes we have and we loved it! It is a trade off though, like anything. We do not have mountains or even hills for that matter in Florida, but we do have beautiful beaches and walking trails that can be used year-round. Plus, you can always go back to Wisconsin and visit places like Devil’s Lake!
You should if your pay and potentials earnings in your career would be about the same in both states but FL has no state income tax so if you're employed in FL, you only get federal taxes taken out. It would be smart to build in this state and save money to buy a house or find someone to partner with /marry that already has that house. Owning property in FL is the holy grail and appreciates FAST. It's a great investment bc you'll make a gr8 ROI if you sell since there's so much demand and competition for houses
They are doing ok! It honestly is just kind of hard on us as parents...having all of them at home every day and the little ones needing help constantly.
Will retire within 3 years at the age of 55. Your channel has inspired me about the Florida. So, what part of Florida that it's most likely safe from the Hurricane? Thanks!
We just bought a place in Kissimee and will live here every winter. I am two weeks in and love it! I am dreading going back to NC in March now. What beaches do you recommend?
One thing I really do want to do one day is move to a place where the weather agrees with my spirit. Right now, I am choosing to live in Northern Virginia for the money - but wouldn't it be nice if I could make this kind of money no matter where I lived.
NE here what county is your kids school in and do that require mask? Seriously thinking about moving family because school here in the NE is forced remote.
Florida With Five , thanks for the response. Your videos have inspired me and we plan to fly down and check out winter spings and other areas. The only problem is where to consider hahaha, I only chanced on winter spings because of another video haha. Thanks again!
We are considering moving from Michigan to Florida very soon, however I hear a lot of negative about it, like drugs and crime and bugs, but I hear good too, please help with any encouraging words as my whole family is moving there too. Is it a good place to raise kid? My grandkids and kids are moving, I hear good and bad, we are considering Jacksonville
I’m sure people talk about drugs and crime in different areas of Michigan as well. Who are you hearing these things from? Is it people that don’t want you to go?
Thanks for responding, some comments are from family, but as I just research questions online, I hear lots of different things ......like the bugs are crazy, they get in your home and so on, and drugs, lots of crazy people there on the news lol, we have that too in mich for sure... I try to focus on the positive, I’m sure there are good suburbs there as well, we are all uprooting our lives and comfort zones to come, I’m trying to get a real idea how it will be to live there, I’m kinda thinking it won’t be much different than Michigan other than the weather of course, that’s why I like your videos, thanks for doin them.
Hey how are you feeling tonight I hope you are doing well and hope you will enjoy your night with our lord Jesus Christ and I cannot wait to see you while in 2025 because I’m moving to Panama City Beach Florida
I’ve wanted to move to Fla since I was a kid. Every time I go down I say, one day I will live here! I’m 55 now I can’t make up my mind. I’m a worry wort so I’m worrying about sink holes and hurricanes. I worry about being swallowed up in my sleep like the man in Tampa. I worry about underestimating a Hurricane and not leaving then regretting it. I just don’t know what to do.
Hi Teresa! You mentioned that you worry about being swallowed up in your sleep in a sinkhole like the man near tampa....ask yourself this...how many people have been killed my tornadoes and such in your state that come without warning? A lot more than the amount of people killed by sinkholes! Also, the good thing about hurricanes is that you get a lot of notice when they are coming. NEVER underestimate a hurricane. You could always consider a move to central Florida as well which doesn't nearly get the flooding/damage that comes along with the big storms. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions!
@@FloridaWithFive yeah I’ve thought of all that. I’m in Ohio and we get a lot of tornadoes but I recently seen that Fla gets more than we do. lol At least we have basements. lol I’m coming down again in the spring so who knows. I do love it there.
Stop being a worry wart. I moved 17+ years ago. just decided to make a move. Went through a list of states. Finally zeroed in on Florida and just moved. Knew ZERO people here. Hurricanes are over-hyped. Been through some five of them, including one or two BIG ones. The trick is to buy/rent to the west of I-95 if you are in South Florida, so you are not impacted or evacuated mandatorily. Also if you have hurricane proof windows, you can actually sit on yoru porch and sip coffee and watch the hurricane, as I do with family, having snacks and drinks. You get 10 days or a week advance notice for Hurricanes unlike for tornadoes/twisters and earthquakes. Never heard of a sinkhole in Florida. If you don't make the move now, it is unlikely you will later when you are 60 or 65. My two cents... imagine being able to visit a beach every day, walking on the warm beach sand, relishing the whispering palms. Florida has a unique vibe that no other state has
Florida is so ungodly hot and humid how the hell could you enjoy living in that environment I can see why people become alcoholics so easily down there
I have been watching moving to florida videos for a while, but why no body talk about job market there, how much average salary and if easy to find job there?
@@FloridaWithFive I want to create RU-vid talking about blockchain and bitcoin in florida , because the office rent cost and vibe seems good for people who work online. Is that a affordable good place to rent a small office and create RU-vid content for a living down there?
@@FloridaWithFive I went stay there about 3 weeks for vocations and going to Disneyland and it is a wonderful experience. But if I move there, will that experience change since you live there? I think I have to rent first to feel how exactly live there in a long time manner.
@@FloridaWithFive Thank you! We're loving it so far! I'm nervous about the kids starting school here though. I'm hoping they make friends and the school and teachers are better than things I've read. On a positive note, no more freezing our faces when we go outside in the wintertime!
We're also looking to move to Davenport in the next two years, I however spoted your gas grill in the background, I was told you couldn't have gas grills because roaches get them?? Is that true?
They are not nearly as bad as what most will tell you! Yes, they are here and if you look for them you will find them....but if you live in an urban area and are not too adventurous you likely will not see them!
Moving to Orlando soon from Denver! CO is so overrated...I have kids and need more than mountains in my life....CO only attractions are, hiking, biking, camping..... None of which interest me and my family....we have done over a dozen mountain towns....they are all the same...CO is 😴 we moved to Denver from Houston, TX 2 years ago and of course it was exciting...in the beginning.... Now we sit at home on our days off trying to figure out where to go besides the mountains....looking forward to FL! Can't even enjoy the mountain view these days with all the smoke! The average housing price of 700k in Denver/Metro area is another reason to GTFO!
Hi I need some help. I lived in Ny all my life. I moved to Fla in july. N I am unhappy 😢 my daughter n granddaughters are here. I miss Ny so much.i miss friends, my job, the life there is different. I want to move back. I dont know if I did the right thing 😢😢 they saw it's cheaper, my health I feel went down cause I am not happy I cry almost everyday I am very depressed can some help me.n tell me why.
You are the only one that can determine if you made a mistake or not. I moved to Florida years ago when my son was younger. We were there for 2 years and he complained about missing everything about NY....so we moved back. Within 2 weeks of being back in NY, he said that he was sorry that we moved back. He absolutely hates NY and wishes we never came back. I regret moving back to NY and not sticking it out down there. I just recently landed a work from home job that allows me to live anywhere so I'm now planning my relocation back to Florida. I know other people that moved away from here, then moved back and are perfectly happy. My point is that only you know what's right for you. I wish you success with whatever you choose.
