This is a good salary and it will be hard to find a higher salary than this honestly. However if you have 3 kids it can get a bit harder if you are the only breadwinner, because you need a bigger house etc. Good luck.

Oh I’m not sure about this , may be via part time work in your own university ( usually there are plenty of options ) or outside. Might find research assistant jobs depending on your areas of interest

It can be true but most doctors are doing the job because of the work satisfaction, people interactions, and because they are passionate about what they do…. Money indeed pay a crucial role to keep up the spirit. You have to rely on the salary if you are not self employed. Overall I am extremely happy about my profession and I have a great job satisfaction. It is multi factorial. I wouldn’t discourage anyone entering into the profession just because of money ❤️

Isalary and the Locum rates are essentially same in all NHS hospitals ( Locum rates can get slightly different but not in a great deal) 👍

As long as you have GMC registration and you are competent to work, you can do locums in any speciality you want.

But Australia is the place to go, earn far more money there than you would in England , plus the weather is better, but you have to watch out for the spiders like the Funnel Webb, the most deadly spider in the world, lives in people gardens, if you know what to look for, it's not be a problem, just stay away from one, as they are also highly aggressive spiders, best to catch them , don't kill them as they make anti-venum from that spider, if they cause a problem just catch them in a container, and call the anti-venum department and they come down and collect them .
