@hazmatlarry72 it does if you get with the right company, there out there, also don't have kids a wife, and keep your bills at a min for a year or two, you will stack money fast, the company you go with can either make or break you, in one shift if your working there's no reason why you shoulddnt be able to make 4 or 500 a shift, I do.

I got out of trucking 10 years ago, I got burnt out. I said I had enough. Today I do chauffeur driving, getting paid to drive sweet rides, I have a work-life balance now.

That job is for single people. I was a trucker for a few years and i got out of it,because i got 2 young kids and a wife. I miss birthdays, first steps, first words etc. it’s really stressful being OTR.

lol when you don't like your family and already barely talk to the few friends you do have like me then you'd kill for it especially considering I've always loved driving, first thing I ever drove was my grandpa's bass boat when I was 3 and now I'm waiting to get cleared after I had a lot of seizures so I can drive again and get my license this coming March

See it like this, now you’re very young, safe as much you can, just watch the years very closely as they go fast. Get out when you earn the money and start building your family. Find a local trucking job. When the kids leave the nest go back some years as national trucking with your wife and just enjoy.

I’ve been driving for 6 years now. I’ve done OTR Regional and local. I’ve been an owner operator for the last 2 years running Nevada California and Arizona and honestly having friends and family to talk to over the phone really helps out with my mental heath. I don’t work weekends. That’s family time. And I try to come home at least once a week. But if it takes a toll on you… drive local and get your life back.

11h a day🤦 I know that its because off USA laws. But here in Finland at least. Your normal driving day is 9h or two time a week it can be 10. And you need to keep 45min break after 4h 45min driving. So we dont drive tired and we keep our sanity and health👍
