Well for 1, other dudes are all lying, and you can tell because they all picked realy round numbers. For 2, there's many things that can give you a week bench but big arms, shoulder injury being the first that comes to mind
225 is nothing to scoff at. It's funny, online everyone can bench 315, yet in every gym I've ever been in, in life, seeing 3 plates benched is a rare event, even by massive dudes. And then sometimes there are smallish dudes who've got freakish strength for their size, biomechanics are weird.
That’s not even a crazy number why is that hard to believe…not saying can bench that but I go to a gym that’s half powerlifting/Olympic weightlifting and commercial gym, I’ve seen guys about his height do that for reps…of 4 not like amrap
@@Shadynastys76 I mean there are only two forms to use it. but current is recent so technically it's fine to use as Present means occurring now which would not be true
Yeah it's so funny dude, everyone online benching 315.... where they at?? In every gym I've ever been in, in my life, seeing 315 benched has been a rare event, even by huge dudes, like >250lb bodyweight.
"solid 2 wheels" guy doesn't talk big numbers. I'm saying, that he's a man of self discovery. He would like to work up, and prove to himself what he will do. Chill af too, live the best life!
@@AngelGarcia-op3bd I mean he stated a pr from back then like those dad's that say "I benches 405 in high school" and plus he don't look like he built for 355 no doubt he could hit 250 prob
The only honest dude was the 2nd one. I'd bet serious money those other guys couldn't hit the numbers they just rep'd. Very few people put up a legit 3 wheels.
It really depends on what kind of bench set up too, not including the ridiculously 1 inch ROM, but also a bodybuilding style bench is wayyy more difficult than a powerlifting style bench
@@ced3797the average man cant even hit 225, the average gym goer cant even hit 225. A consistent average gym goer whose been trainging a year or two can do 225
@@meeee1278 not always but it's a good indicator for sure. people act like huge bodybuilders are always weak but huge bodybuilders are the ones who have done so much progressive overload over the years that they should be able to at least do 225 for a couple of reps
@Ceionte Perry No, it doesn't. I'm much bigger than my friend, but he's got super fast metabolism and is still skinny despite working out for years. Still, he can bench more than I can.
@@hasselett no, he just doesn't eat enough. "hardgainers" don't understand the concept that there is no such thing as a metabolism that is so fast that it actually works like that, and any doctor will tell you. I was one of those hardgainers until i simply started to actually just start counting my calories, and turns out, eating 2 big ass meals out of 3 and zero snacks doesn't mean i eat a lot in total, and my calories werent even reaching 2500. now i try to reach 3k a day with enough grams of protein per bodyweight and i gained kilos upon kilos in just a few months... tell your friends to count his calories. if he's not gaining weight, eat a surplus of 500. eat more even. there is no such human that cant gain weight from eating on a surplus of calories
@@Greenstrtjs87 you want 185? do sets of 15 with 125 then 12 with 135 and 10 with 155. work on THOSE numbers increasing your best reps and increasing your weights. put your head down and work. a month or two and you'll be looking at 205 instead.
@@realcornball8707 yea idk why these guys are surprised at a 355 bench tbh. I never lifted in my life when I was in high-school and did 285 2 years of training got me to 405x8
He was too confident saying “yeah people will believe I can hit two wheels”, cause we all know damn well you hitting more than 225. Almost spit out my protein shake with that response.
@@slurp3194 to someone who lifts a lot and understand what it takes to move some of that weight, it’s usually pretty easy to tell what people can lift. That’s not to say that sometimes you are surprised by someone’s strength, but that doesn’t happen often. The reason the were so quick to answer is because that is a wildly popular question amongst lifters. It’s not the first time they’ve responded to that
I understand why they lie but I never lie about it. I guess because I’m so fucking weak in the bench press lol! Im 158lbs but only have a PR of 165 😫 So I really don’t have room to lie 😂
