I sold my f30 during the pandemic to buy stocks haha. I bought a used 2010 Civic for 5k, and invested the other 16,000 into EXPI, TSLA, and ETSY. I’m finally about to sell, and that $16,000 is now almost $100,000 haha. Best decision of my life
Stocks are not magic money multiplier thing. Quick bucks is also meaning fast losses for 98% of people trying out. Only a minority is actually making money reliably from trading... For this to happen a lot of people will lose money.
I have a 16 plate 435d and I feel like I’m in an M4. I’m on cloud 9 with happiness, I look out the windows at it when I’m in my house & think wow that’s actually mine lol.
@@Neil542 college is not for me , my dad is already teaching me how to invest + my second soundcloud check just hit for $150, so by the time i’m 17 and get my license i will have everything i need to buy my m4
....when I purchased my brand new fully loaded (G30) BMW 540i xDrive M Sport, it took me over a month to negotiate the price of this vehicle. The dealership actually knocked off just little bit over 18% off the MSRP. At the time, I was strictly looking for that great deal, and ready to walk away any minute during the negotiation! I told them that they’re “not the only game in town”.
@@SimplyCarThings overall how's the price difference between the m4 and your m235i, i am strongly looking to go m240i just because it seems to be more reliable and cheaper to own. The savings would allow me to make it a suitable competitor to a m4
I have a 2019 M4. I love it. I paid cash for it. It was used but only had 2000 miles on it. I love the carbon fiber roof. I paid 52000 total and have every option. They wanted 57000 and I got a great military deal.
I knew this car looked familiar!! I was looking at this exact car and almost about to pull the trigger too but I told myself I really should get an M3 need the 4 doors because kids 🤷🏽♂️ Super stoked to get to see the car grow on your channel!
Man, you are SPOT ON when you mentioned Autonation. In December I ended up visiting an Autonation owned dealership in the Chicago area and they made my hunt for a 2020 X4M absolutely miserable. I was ready to sign the papers and it was hurdle after hurdle and fabrication after fabrication. Thankfully I ended up browsing a few BMW forums that warned me that the deal they were giving was nothing special. I ended up getting the same discount on a 2021 X4MC instead from another dealership, and will never step foot in another Autonation dealership.
Wow, crazy to hear how many stories i've heard like this man. Yea screw them! Their corporate antics are poison to anyone looking to purchase a car. Congrats on the X4M btw!
My m4 looks like this from the wheels to the colour.except the interior colour seats..picking it up in a few days. Has 22k miles on it..still on plan with warranty. Insurance is scary..nearly put me off going through with it alltogether.
Holy shit, 1200 insurance per 6 months? That's expensive, im paying that amount om a yearly basis on mine 😳 but u guys have cheap ass cars man. 50k for a used m4 is a bargain here. I paid 75k for my 2018 m4 comp. But these dont go down in value anymore here as pre 2019 cars are very sought after due to lower taxes and no opf filters
Wow that’s like 9 grand a year for a used m4 (payments, gas, insurance) not including maintenance. Too much for me but looks like you can afford it so kudos to you
Here's my issue - I'm an E9x M3 owner and as much as I adore this car, I simply can't get over the fact that it is aging. I've done enough to try and bring it up to my spec but at a certain point (and because I'm a numbers guy) the cost/benefit ratio creeps into my head. I am leaning more and more towards the f8x but would you recommend only 'LCI' or is pre ok. Also, 6MT only. I'm going to you because my wife says Toyota Corolla.
I think regardless the move up to the F8X is a major leap forward in terms of tech and quality. LCI’s have some nice upgrades, particularly the headlights and infotainment but aside from that it’s really all the same. You’ll enjoy it a lot these cars are amazing and extremely capable in so many aspects
At the 6:30 mark where he's talking about California registration fees decreasing as the vehicle gets older, it used to be like that. However, California has not decreased registration fees in recent years. If your car is brand new, you don't have to smog it for the first five or six years. However, the state charges you, I believe $25 annually (smog abatement fee) for not having to smog your car for those first five or six years. California is a rip-off state!
Damn.. that car would be between 80-90k dollars used in norway. The F82 M4 is my absolute dream car! But they are soo expensive in Norway... its insane. I am currently 19 years old, and want one soo bad!!
$550 a month and you put half down, and the value decreased 15-20% once you signed your name at the bottom of the contract??!?!?? What???? Bruh....you could have put the cost of this car in a mutual fund and let it sit for 2 years and you would have made almost twice that amount. But I was young once and I love cars....so I get it. Be careful on the road man. Safe travels!
Everyone in their mother pulls the mutual fund example 😂 Which I understand, but to be fair I didn’t buy the car brand new (it’s worth about the same i paid for it), the M4 provides me with a stable revenue stream from my channel, and it’s something I enjoy and adds to my happiness since i’m extremely passionate about cars. And yes.... i do invest in ETF’s, stocks, & I have a crypto portfolio as well that has provided me with some solid returns 👌🏼
I bought my first BMW from porsche irvine too. Its really easy and the staff is cool, but yeah their deals are not good at all... I got charged like $5k+ in fees after the finalized price kinda like you did
Nice I am 20 years old, and purchased an M4 by myself on my channel. Lots of different factors play into it! I have very similar costs on mine too. Nice job breaking it down 👍
Yup, you def get screwed owning a performance car in cali. Gas, registration, insurance, and even the actual listing prices are higher compared to AZ or TX. Lowkey makes me want to move They literally give tickets for intakes 🤦♂️
Congrats! Nice looking M. I think your deal was reasonable given it does not have the competition package. Ultimately, don't worry about what some may or may not say about what you paid for the car. It is your life and your decision and as long as you can afford it and you are happy with it (I can tell that you are!), then don't worry. Just drive it an enjoy it. Congrats again and drive it in good health!
Really wanting to get an f80 m3 later this year only thing that worries me is insurance, not that I can’t afford it but i can’t justify it if it’s gonna be an outlandish rate, currently 23yrs old
i'm 23 as well. I would just assess your overall financial situation and take into account your current expenses/income in order to make the best decision
Great video! Been following quite a while now! Can you help me with this question: I have BMW F82 with steel brakes (the non-fancy ones). My car came with 19 inch wheels. Can I fit a 18 inch wheels and it would fit with my stock suspension? There seems to be very little room between the brakes and the stock 19 inch wheel already.
@@SimplyCarThings Thanks for the quick reply! I love the 19 inch wheels, I am just wondering if I would get 18 inch wheels with a bit higher sidewall, maybe the ride would be a bit softer. And then maybe lower the car a little bit for nicer look.
@@SimplyCarThings You did overpay. I picked up an '18 M4 17k miles from a BMW dealer for 54,000 2 weeks ago. BUT it's the exact spec you wanted, can't put a price on that.
I need to get my channel going. And show my m4. I want 997 turbo. Or GT-R but it's hard decision for me as m4 is such a nice car has everything. Power, room, comfort.
Funny, we have the same payment, put the same amount down, bought the same car in the same color, and both got them from Autonation, what are the odds of that😂 except mine was at House of imports which uses auto nation to. Very true what you say, they make it seem like there giving you this amazing deal and you get the car for few days and start finding all these little things. Nothing major but just stupid stuff like dried out tires or cracked seat emblems/center console trim. (All stuff that’s replaceable, just annoying)
damn it sucks how much used cars went up in value lol i was saving up for almost 2 year for an m4 and was ready to purchase one in late 2021 but then realized the whole shortage bs messed everything up and now it doesn’t really seem like i am going to get one lmao
It pretty much feels identical to my old one. The only differences really are the visual changes that came with the LCI models and some of the additional options
Great video. I’m looking to buy a used M4 this summer. Looking at spending between 40-50k. Anything I should look out for? I want one no older than 2017 and with less than 40k miles.
I have been talking to him a lot on IG and I will ask you the same thing he asked me. Why exactly do you want a 17 with less than 40k miles? I would worry about warranty on the used ones. I believe them to 5yr/50k miles
@@911airsoftdude Well, I’m not too sure. I guess my reasoning is because plan on owning it for a while and don’t really want anything that’s more than 3-4 years old. The lowest mileage I can get in my price range and desired vehicle age range, the better.
Well done- great post! After seeing the G8x with that hideous grille, I'm holding on to my 2018 F82 ZCP. I still love driving it and the way it looks. Btw, is your windscreen cracked @ 8:08?
I have a 2020 m4 heritage edition, and man I love it!!🥰😍🤩 I drive it once a week and always get compliments. M4's in general are all beautiful and amazing cars!
Unless Cali insurance rules are different from New York you must have gotten a check when the last m4 got totaled out and didn't owe the rest of your loan. Reason I say that is im scared if something happened to my car im stuck with like 2k after the loan is paid off
Awesome car. Just to give you a thought: A standard BMW M4 in Europe will cost you atleast the same price for a standard 2015 model. So for us it sounds like a bargain :)
Since your m235 videos, I see you're making some good money with your channel and sponsors!! I was a former m235 owner as well, and now also a m4 owner =) I unfortunately crashed my m235, but it also allowed me to upgrade to my m4. It was sad, and a blessing. Glad to see your success!
What do you do for a living I’m 15 looking to start detailing cars charging around $200 per car depending on what they want done hopping I can get an M4 within a year or 2 please give me some tips I’m going to try to finance it the way you did so I’m praying I find a good deal and everything works out
Work your ass off bro. Make the car your number 1 goal and don’t let anything get in the way of it. Save aggressively or invest your money & you’ll have it soon
People, do not order a bmw. Buy one on the lot, if they have any. I placed my order in May2021. The vehicle has been sitting in the West Coast VDC Pt Hueneme for 3 months and 1 week because they can’t get parts! My dealer or Genius have no clue when parts will arrive or I will get the car.I am going to walk away if no car 10/1/21.
Good stuff man, I pay 550 a month for my 2015 M3 with every option except EDC and 39k miles. This was from a dealer though, I do plan to refinance with my old credit union to get something closer to your monthly... 😁
I ordered my G80 M3 (22 Yrs). And was quoted ~$350 minimum for full coverage+ an $1,100 monthly lease payment. Like F$&K MEEEE. Why do we car people have to like the most expensive in the world. 😂
I love all of your informative M4 vidoes man, I've been in the market myself for an M4 for awhile now haha. I'm too impatient to wait a couple years the S58 M2 Comp lol. Still don't know if I want to keep my 2017 F30 330i as a DD and get an older M4 (2015 or so) for the weekends or sell the 330i and go for a 2018 model like the gorgeous one you got! Weird question, do you use the kickdown pedal often? I know the forum guys say that's where most of the DCT crankhubs spun. But then again they said BMW changed the bedding in 2016+ models and it happens way less now. And even before then, it was an abysmally low failure rate like 0.5% or something who knows....
thank you for your kind words man! Honestly i never use the kickdown, not even because i am worried about the crank hub happening but because I always drive the car in manual mode using paddle shifters 100% of the time
Hi. So nice video. Very informative. I am Also searching for a perfect m4 for me. How many km yours had when you bought it? Thanks in advance. Greetings :)
You neee to shop around for insurance. Theres always one that quotes 100 a month when the rest quote 200. Progressive was it for me, State Farm for my girl.
Hey Omar, very informative video! Out of curiosity, what company do you use to insure your M4? I have a ‘16 M4 with no accidents and no tickets, but the premium is still a bit higher.
"Lets not waste any time, and get right into the video(saying this around the 1 minute mark)"...He doesnt actually start to maybe talk about the title of this video until the 4:30 mark, and even at that, he still pulls your teeth and drags this shit on way to much
this car is worth every single dollar you have paid.....M2/3/4 is not just a car....this is top of knowlage , technology and human expirience from last hundret years....have the best fun
@@oxymaroxymar6485 its more expensive because it's a better car... And not by a little bit... Also the trunk is bigger than it looks in pictures, which I'm sure is all you've seen... The 911 drives better , looks better, is more reliable , and maintains its value better ...
