@@hellboy.z71 crankhub is the biggest "issue" that people address with the F8x chassis. They have the S55 motor and have a chance at spinning the crankhub which could take the entire motor out if you experience the worst case scenario. Luckily, it's not as bad an issue as people make it out to seem, with percentages of spun crankhubs are super super super low across every s55 motor thats been produced. People say its a myth, others say its a ticking time bomb and to get it done asap. Other than that, over time the plastic pieces on the motor will crack and can cause issues, like the top mount charge cooler, the j-pipe and the charge pipes are the most common that people upgrade to aftermarket ones. There have been many cases of these cars going past 150k+ miles without issue and theres even someone with an f80 m3 thats at 250K miles !! They make great power super easily but you'd have to stay on top of maintenance like oil changes, coolant flush, spark plugs, etc. One small thing people never address is that the front turbo tends to leak oil due to an old and brittle gasket that goes between the front of the turbo to the charge pipe. It's such a small issue thats why its never talked about. Its a $4 gasket and i've seen people do it themselves with general tools. For me, I'd do most maintenance myself to keep labor costs out of the picture and save money. As long as you're good to the car, the car will treat you with the same respect

The crankhub was never updated and fixed in the F8X generation. The new G8X cars with the S58 has the updated fix in their engines

Alright so what you should tell them is that you are looking at a few other m4’s just like that one and tell them that they are 5k cheaper and tell them that you will take the car if they can price match it. Also tell them your budget, they will always try and working with a budget. So tell them $50k. Biggest thing is to compare similar ones on the market and try to narrow it down to the best deal. Honestly you just have to scare them and make it seem like you won’t buy the car if you don’t work with them. And ask for sales managers 👌

Oh gotcha! And I love that golden color. Yes these cars are very raw and drivers focused. But nice! That Rs3’s are beasts when built. And haha same the previous owner of my M4 traded it in for a Porsche, that seems to be the popular upgrade after owning an M4

Knowledge is power! Show them that your educated on these cars and their value, find some that are being sold for less and tell them you’ll buy a cheaper one if they can’t lower their price. Just make them know you’re ready to buy but only if they work with your budget

I live in Colorado and flew out to a Porsche dealership in Ohio to buy it. My credit was around 680 when I applied. It’s definitely possible, just shop around rates and I recommend using credit unions

I was considering putting my name on the loan and putting the title in my moms name and me just pay her for the insurance monthly. Because $372 a month for insurance is honestly a little wild!!!!

I started working in the mortgage industry at 19 years old. I’m now 24 and still growing my career. Lots of side hustles on the side too

Tip, I'd buy a car under 15k and save yourself the headaches in the future with your situation. Buy your dream m4 when your alot older and making more money. Trust me, it's worth the wait and saves you on loads of stress. Dont drown yourself at 27k a year, it's not the best idea. to be getting a 40k-80k car.

@@compassion4227 I’m a nurse and I’ve actually thought about going into IT but my friend that’s in IT tells me otherwise so I’ve debated lol but who knows maybe I would be happier in a different field

Lots of research, Also I’m not going to college so it gives me all the time in the world to work as much as I can and research and find the best ways to make money. I spent long hours in retail, construction, and video making to save up for one, but it wasn’t enough. So I ended up getting a job in the mortgage consulting business which pays really well and I was able to finance an M4 with a good down payment and proof of income. I would say you should at least be in the 40k-50k a year mark. And I would also say you should have at least $1,000 left over after you pay for living expenses, bills, groceries, car payment, insurance all of that. It’s very manageable, you just need to research and make a plan!

I knew someone in the business and I had experience in working in sales and consulting so that helped. But honestly anyone can learn the basics and know how to explain any job with some online research and studying!
