Truly love the fact you’ve gone stage 3 and you’ve kept the car this long. It’s visible how much you thoroughly love the car. You’re not doing an Archie Hamilton by keeping the car for couple months wrap exhaust n selling it, lol! I’d personally love to see more wash/snow foaming videos with the Golf from you! Hope u never sell it! I’ve had my 7R for just as long and been APR stage 2+ ever since :) !
Antony V its true I love this car and I can’t see me selling it anytime soon! I can sort some videos out like that, thats good and it’s good that you still enjoy it🙌🏻
How the fuck can 11 people dislike this video.... This guy has some brilliant videos always polite always informative always honest in reviews.... Good luck for 2020 mate
@@jamesr50 this is LOL! But i do not know any reason why people sell urgently when they goes stg3! It happened with a guy i know.. So summarize..i stopped performance tuning at stg2+ and Full bolt ons!!! LOL If i ever will go for stg3...i will deal with HGP480
Rs6 c6 pick a decent one up for 19k Mrc engine and gearbox map and race filters 750bhp,not as quick off the mark as the golf but an absolute monster. Great vid 👍🏻
TVS tune for stage 3 is famous and amazing too. I am running stage 2 tune from TVS. TCU is also tunes by TVS. The shifting game has gone to a whole different level. 100-200km on 95 petrol 10.92sec
Good chunk of money but quality parts all over. There are old German saloons ect with the power but their engines cost 15k if they go compared to 3k so it is really hard to beat unless you go stage 1/2 RS3. Are you done now or do you have any more plans ?
Unfortunately But fortunately foung myself needing spoiled, just paid 26 for car 10 on MODS.... canny Bat Her ! lot o cash, but a lot of Fun, Brilliant car's. Good Vid's Young Un , bang on just did it 👌
Some places you can save money for people watching... Try get as many parts as you can 2nd hand. Stick with 450-470bhp (will cost a lot less) Normal vw spark plugs will handle 470bhp. You don't need a chatch can as said. Get a littco turbo for a lot less. You do not need a full exhaust, just a downpipe will do. No high power fuel pump needed at 460-470bhp. But if you need the extra 30bhp... get your wallet out😁
Maybe an audi s4/s5 v6 supercharged with a mrc stage 2 tune around 500bhp but the older 7 speed s tronic box is renowned for major issues, not the dq500 or the newer dq381, its the dl501
Yeah, gotta 2010 2.5L, in line 5 manual, naturally aspirated VW B’iL. I want a sleepa (just performance), can ya list a step guide of modification I could take?
Some say stage 3 some say stage 2+, is there a clear answer? APR when I asked it's not a stage 3 until they go inside engine. What is the Horsepower and torque?
You could buy a modified evo with 500hp for 30k easy lol, but yer nice car looks lovely infact, I'm well jealous lol, I do think that you could have got your power figures without spending that much tho but yer the parts you've changed all do help to keep it reliable
Hows the drone with the carless DP?? I currently have a catted DP with cat back non res mid pipe. Need to know whether to change the DP to catless but all depends if it drones or not. Deal breaker.
AMEX decat or catted downpipe isn’t what decides drone. Your exhaust is. Whether you have a resonator or not in your catback/exhaust is the drone factor. Even running decat downpioe with non res catback is ok, slightest of drone at 3000rpm on motorway but not even enough to bother you
I have been told that the reason for people selling soon after going stage 3 is that basically they have ruined their cars. APR stage 1 ecu & tcu with an apr catback valved exhaust with dual layer 4" black tips ...SWEET
Currently stage 2 mrc. They've quoted 5800 for a basic stage 3. I can't decide if it's worth it. Do you notice alot from say 20 to 70.or is it 70 onwards? Thanks
@@AzzaM1983 in the vid he says you cant get a 500bhp car for 30k and says if you can think of a car for 30k drop a message. So I did. I know he wants a golf you idiot. Just so you realise I'm not a hater I think his golf is sick a fully support it. Got to put a disclaimer to messages for dumb people
there are loads of cars you can get under under 30k with over 500hp😂 e60 m5? e63/4 m6 and instead of having a stupid sounding 2.0 you’ve got a 5.0 v10 that screamsssss and shouts so yeah ;)
Just found your channel. great vid. I have just purchased a mk 7.5 R manual. Can i ask is it possible to get the 0-60 in to the mid 4's with just an intake and stage 1 map ?
pretty much have all the same mods apart from i have a scorpion race exhaust system & a TurboTechnics V5 Turbo. stage 3 also @520BHP. wise choices brother!
when i went stage 3 from stage 2 was changed: turbo tte555 charge pipes 4bar map sensor hpfp lpfp downpipe from cat to catless meth (optional) spark plugs all oils.... need more, engine mounts
Matty I was contemplating it but keep having gearbox issues and vw. Aren’t being much help, First mechatronics unit and then rough changing into third and now at random times in manual it doesn’t change up when you hit paddle.... hits rev limiter stops for a second then changes up! Very frustrating only has 30000 on it and 12 months old
Amigo, great job on the build. Car looks amazing. Quick question for you. I have a 2017 Golf R w/APR stage 3+ turbo kit and an APR oil catch can. The car works great and a few months after installing the oil catch can there’s no oil in it. It doesn’t catch any oil. The car is being used as daily drives and weekends spirited driving. Any thoughts or input on that? Thank you in advance! Miguel from Oceanside California 😎
miguel gutierrez awesome we cant get APR stage 3 over here, I’ve never had that issue it always catches oil yours is obviously fitted correctly do you have to top your oil up regular?
Same situation here..but this is no problem/issue! When daily driving/spirited driving on roads/highway also the oe pcv system can work well...when you go tracdays...extreme acx and decelartiin on sticky rubber...at that situations the catch can is game changer... Check my vid..when hgp480 passed me..than decelerate on Michelin Cup2 tyres and Movit bbk..lol without oil catch can.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vib2G9rmEbg.html
James Amigo, thank you for the reply. I Check the oil regularly and it’s fine. Only 3k miles after a fresh oil change I might have to add about 4 oz of oil ( not much ). I suppose that is normal considering the work the engine puts down while doing pulls every so often 😁. Miguel from Oceanside California
Master321v. Thank you for the input and sharing the awesome track day video 👍🏼. I hope to track the car sometime out here in Button Willow California ( closest track to home).
Thanks for all the info James. It is a lot of money but you have a very serious machine with 500hp. Its a nice timming that you upload this video now, since Im going stage 1 with my GTI tomorrow xD
ScotchEgg Catch cans are highly recommended for direct injection motors, blow by can cause carbon buildup on the valves and that is no Bueno so putting one on the PCV side can help alleviate that also if you put one on the cranky side it can prevent oil from being introduced into your inner cooler which may cause higher charge temps.
