When I did my CBT the “instructor” gave me a pair of gardening gloves to wear, because he didn’t for whatever reason have any available at the time! Also I had to help him set up the cones for me to practice riding in and out of. What a joke!

What a joke, but still must have been worth it? I see some bike schools don't really take CBT seriously enough.

That’s crazy low insurance for your first year, how long ago was that and has it always been that cheap for you? I’m 27 and just done my CBT, cheapest insurance I can find is £400 for, what is for me, one of the worst options ybr125.

This was 2018 and I was 38. I had my car licence for 21 years, no convictions, no points

10 years car licence, 6 years no claims. I’m guessing it’s just the price these days, comes down by about £100 a year when quoting with extra experience. Looks like I’ll have to avoid the sports category until I do my full test! Thanks for the insight guys
