#chainsaw #cordlesschainsaw #comparison Results at 17:35 I compared these 3 chains on these 3 saws to see how much of a difference chains and technique make.
Still impressive how battery tools are getting 'there' on performance at all. 24" in oak full cut. A far cry from even 5 years ago when I got my first 18" Kobalt and EGO they'd overheat in 16" of soft wood.
The stihl type PS chain has a low profile. 3/8, 1.3 mm. it is lighter than 0.325 Oregon LPX. I hope I will also test this theory in practice.Good report.
@@reusefull84 links, 25", you may have to remove 1-2 links. I had to remove 1 link on a 25" saw bar. If I had not removed the chain, it would have been at maximum adjustment. The Swedes recommend LOGOSOL for longitudinal and cross cutting in order to reduce the volume of chips. The cutting speed should increase.
@@John-cj3ve Methinks it'll just stay optimized for 18-20" and the next generation will be the actively cooled one. GW used to overheat in soft woods 5 years ago too before they widened the air channels to the battery compartment. It took a new gen of tools to fix.
@ToolHombre I can't understand why there's a problem in the first place! My CS1800 will run continuously with a 7.5ah battery; and then switching over to a SECOND 7.5ah one; cutting big logs; all without any overheating issues. You would think the next logical step for EGO would have been the 24" bar. Why would someone; (me); pay all this money for a saw that's only two inches longer? I know I feel a lot better about my purchase after seeing @reusefull's videos about the 24" conversion.
