Your preferences make no sense. You opt out of a pension scheme (which is a terrible idea financially) but insure against small losses (the house insurance which I'm assuming is just for belongings as you're renting)
@Calvi 36 congrats on retiring! Agreed. I spend so long telling my students that when assessing how good a job offer is you can't just look at the salary, you need to care about employer's contribution to the pension, too, but it definitely falls on deaf ears.
Thank you Dr. Muskaan for this amazing video, it helps us to get a better understanding of the UK income and monthly expenses break up. keep posting more such videos, thanks in advance.
I've heard that during training as a junior doctor in UK, you have to move house every year as you get assigned a different hospital every year. Is it true. Can you make a video on how a doctor with a family manages to move houses so quickly? What affect does that have on their health and personal life?
You move around in a deanery. That’s about 2/3 different hospitals depending on training. Usually the hospitals are about 45-60 mins drive so not far. People choose a central area as you would know the hospitals beforehand, so it’s doable. I hope that helps.
Passing the test is a challenging and frustrating experience. I believe that it's not just about studying, but also about having God's grace to succeed.
Frustration can be a positive sign. It indicates that the solution to your problem is close, but your current approach isn't working. You need to change your approach to achieve your goal.
Trust me, never give up. After failing twice, I almost quit, but I kept going and finally got my license. I'm grateful that my friend recommended me to Mr Richard who helped me achieve my goal.,
Thank you so much. I always follow up with your videos. Your honest detailing and step by step guidance makes you stand out. Always look up to you. Hope to meet you one day.
Hello! How bad is the NHS crisis that's in the news and how relevant is it to us IMGs? what are the odds of someone landing up with a job/ training post in the UK after PLAB2? I'm someone who doesn't have much of extra curricular activities like audits/ researches to back my CV so please give me a fair probability of me settling in the UK provided I clear my exams...
Heyyy.. Nice to hear about you... I want to know that how they treat IMGs in NHS ? like everyone saying they treat poorly? like i have heard and seen many IMGs who are living in England and London are living good life. so does it vary from state to state of treating?

Great video.... Can u please guide regarding the Speciality doctors pay and senior clinical fellows pay difference ...? I was offered 75000/month as speciality doctor from one trust and from another trust as SCF with 53100+1A Banding... Which one in the end is more I will be earning ?
So at the end 700-1000 pounds ,which is 70k - 1 lakh in Indian rupees is your saving per month? Also you didn’t mention one thing, shopping maybe? Like for clothes or anything, how much does that cost. Is buying clothing there for Indians (from a middle or upper middle class family) too expensive?
@@user-yx4ey8ux4s even if the salary is 1 lakh in india, the expenditure would be around 30-35 thousand ( house rent+ grocery+ etc) per month. You would still save 65 thousand.
@@Ethanhunt655 but she's still a junior doctor. Her salary will increase to a greater degree, compared to the increase once would expect in india once they finish residency

@@ambidextrousdoctor like you have to the apply for PLAB 1 through GMC account after qualifying PLAB 1 then you can book PLAB 2 then you have to give the PLAB 2 in UK then registration and then you will work as a non trained doctor for 2 yr I think then MRCP exam like that you have to go ahead

Hello @Muskaan Arora ma'am, I have a question that, I want to give PLAB exam in my internship but I also have to do bonded service for 1 year as I'm a state quota medical student. So for how much time passing PLAB 2 is valid ? And can I do like I pass PLAB in internship and go for work in UK after a year ?
