ABOUT ME:
I’m Liam Harrison, Bolton born and bred. I’m a lover of Golf, life and laughter.
Started Golf 12 years ago after packing in football when i was 28 due to a back injury.
I started the RU-vid channel as a laugh and a Wim, to make me practice but that went out the window as i started vlogging, loving being on camera but more so the interaction with my #golfmates.
In 14 months i have seen the channel evolve and become the only real golf community on RU-vid which i am extremly proud of.
I would like to thank all the #golfmates that have been with us and supported us and the channel from the start. Also not forgetting our new #golfmates that may have only just come across the channel.

Liam, not sure about your example. It gives the impression unless I am mistaken that 1.8m views would be worth £1.8m. I realise that will not be correct. Could you clarify for your golf mates. E. G 1000 views worth £1000.

Love everything you do with the channel, hope it goes on for years. Can't put into words how much it means to be a Golfmate, I know this, because I've played with a few and they say the same as I do. The road trip was so good, the look on all the faces of Golfmates meeting you should tell how how much it means. BUT, because your our mate too, I, we, want you to be happy doing what you do, along with your family. That means everything. If I never saw you again, I would have been proud to know you. Liam, Thank you for opening up about your life and being upfront about your channel. What you have done for OMP and the Dick and young Josh has been simply something special and you can and should be so proud of yourself for doing it. You seem to try to look after everyone in your life circle and have also opened that circle to all of us and I am grateful. I am in Arizona and watch every one of your videos and have watched every ad multiple times knowing it can help you and your family. Liam good news this 'view' is coming from the USA and I have been telling everyone about it. Very insightful vlog and as someone that puts out podcasts for the business community I get the need to feed the engine with content because content is king. I also find your input about the quality of the video. We sometimes over edit and we have been trying to come back from that as we dive into the stats and see what succeeds and what doesn't. Love your honesty Liam. I had the feeling when we met at Chilworth that the road trip had cost you personally more than you anticipated. Maybe next time if there is a next time that Golfmates pay a bit extra than the green fee say £10-£15 to make sure that you are not out of pocket. I'm sure when I say this; every single Golfmate believes this channel to be the best and most enjoyable golf RU-vid channel there is and we all want the channel and you to be successful. I know without any doubt the enjoyment I get from the channel would be greatly diminished if it was causing you to be short of money. Let us Golfmates know what we can do to help, you know that we will.

Well written piece Vaughan with so many points that resonate with me also. In particular, the knowing that Liam is dipping into his own pocket to effectively entertain us does as you say ‘diminish’ the enjoyment of the videos etc. We must remember Liam’s new at this RU-vid game, and despite the great stuff he’s posted, he must be still finding his feet to a degree and on a steep learning curve, which I’m sure he’ll crack in the fullness of time. Liam’s created a unique channel and captured the imagination of so many Golfmates (worldwide) which his down to his obvious dedication and commitment, but most of all his sense of humour and being a thoroughly nice bloke. In closing, as with any new venture they’ll be high and lows, so let’s make sure Golfmates continue to support Liam and the channel, and give him the highs he so richly deserves.

@@GolfMates I know you said next time it would be just you and the dick, but I agree with vaughan. People appreciate the time you spend making the videos, organising the trip and keeping everyone happy :). I hope you do another trip (as i didn't manage to make this one)but like Vaughan says make sure the golf mates cover the cost so you are least breaking even and ideally making a profit. People love the content, I pay a lot more for my sky sports membership and don't get half the enjoyment out of watching it compared to your channel.

Liam, I’m in the US and yours is one of the very few RU-vid channels I follow religiously. I happened on it while searching for other content. I also like some of your drone footage especially on your videos from Spain, Portugal, US etc and your editing has deffo got much better. I'm glad that you are doing ok with RU-vid so far, you have come a long way in those 6 months. Even though the Campervan trip and the Ireland trip were heavy on your finances, I think once some more of those video's come out more people will start to understand the #Golfmates concept and hopefully it will turn in to more views and #Golfmates in the future. Kevin O'Rourke I’m not a Facebook user because it depresses me so that was my reason for asking the question. I find that people try to talk and show how great their lives are on Facebook but knowing people shows you that they really are empty and sad and so that is mostly why they try so hard to show how great their life is. It breaks my heart that people feel they have to pretend. It’s okay to not be okay. I hope you find yourself well and I hope that you live your life in a way that builds upwards towards what you are proud of if you haven’t reached it at this point. I wish you well

Hey Liam, love the channel and the content. If you want more international viewers you may have to evolve and change the name of your channel. "Golf Vlogs UK" sort of pigeon holes it to UK videos for a bloke surfing youtube from say the US or AUS and may not strike instant interest. Im sure when you started you never even thought of international Golfmates. Why don't you just call it "GOLFMATES". cheers, thanks for your honesty and good work and all the best. I'll be honest Liam, when I first watched one of your videos (it was a match with Old Man Pat and he was chatting up some ladies), I was a bit skeptical whether I would like the channel so I didnt continue watching at first until I saw you on James Robinsons channel playing a match, since then I've watched and fallen in a trance with your channel honestly as it truly has captivated me. You, OMP and the Dick playing are my favourite videos by far as it just shows raw footage of you all having a laugh. It's been a month since I subscribed now, I've bought a Golfmates shirt from the website and I genuinely look forward to watching your videos. Keep up the solid work, you are something that doesnt come to RU-vid often - an honest man with a heart of gold who wants to create a community rather than individuals watching videos. Keep smiling as you make so many of us smile with your videos! :) P.s. I'm still waiting for a match with the man himself Rick Shiels as he promised you back in the day.
