You are a real Mom, with real situations, and I appreciate your honesty in your videos so, so much! You are a breath of fresh air in the RU-vid world where editing and photoshop make some people's lives seem too perfect. I am slowly growing my channel and look up to you as a source of motivation and inspiration to keep going on those days where I wonder, "why am I doing this?" Thank you so much!! Hugs from Texas, Shelly
Oddly but when you said your RU-vid videos paid your mortgage, I was soooo happy for you. Being able to stay at home and make such a significant contribution is wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
Why would anyone feel bad about making money on youtube?!? Wow....I've never heard of that. Most people don't realize how much work it is to create, manage, edit and maintain a youtube channel. I'm a working mom of 2 toddlers & a wife. Plus I make youtube videos. I plan on creating a video about juggling everything because its a lot of work but so worth it.
This is the best Q/A I have ever watched. The fact you incorporated the questions into your daily routine and not just you sitting in front of the camera made it way more interesting! Thanks for encouraging me to put on my apron abs get to work.
so many women feel they have to have a vocation to be fulfilled... you are real and show that motherhood and the high calling of being a housewife. good for you! keep it up! people need to realize that momhood is a busy job and one if the most important
+Ebony Frink Just because a mom works outside of the home, doesn't mean she isn't devoted. In fact, I find our time together to be awesome! They are in school all day, so I miss NOTHING. I give them everything they need.
This in no way implies that. Working mother is less devoted to her children. I have done both. That said, I do know that when I was home, my full focus was on the children. My heart, mind and energy was there. When I worked, I was divided.., it is a woman's choice and I am grateful for the choice to be able to work and the ability to stay home. Both families can have strong relationships with their children... neither should condemned or demeaned because they choose to work or they choose to stay home.
Melissa Geittmann I didnt say anything negative about working moms so please don't put words in mouth. If you praise devoted moms, how is that putting down Anyone??
Love this video. You talked about pretending you're talking to a friend while filming. It's exactly how it feels from this side of the screen. I'm not alone in my daily chores when you're chatting to me. Thanks for being real! 💕
So real! I've been binging your content the last few days while recovering from a tooth being pulled and I have to say your realness and positivity mixed with your faith on God is a much needed breath of fresh air for fellow moms. Thank you!!!! And I love that you are folding laundry at the kitchen table while chatting with us 🙌🤍
I just wanted to say I am so glad I found your channel! I've been watching your videos the past couple of weeks and you have inspired and motivated me to clean and organize my home, as well as given awesome advice to be a better mom & wife! ❤️
You are a great role model! I am 36 and learning so much from you about a homemaker and my relationship with Christ. Love the way you vlog! its like I'm literally chit chatting with a friend!
I love how you did the Q&A while going about your every day chores its super relateable! Also I love that my fav youtubers make money from videos its time consuming and if watching a 15 or 30 second ad can help pay your mortgage I am all for it!
For the past couple of months I've been thinking a lot about my future family (currently 19). I can't wait to be a mother and I really love watching your videos that show the reality. They show me that it isn't easy at all but it's still wonderful! Thank you
I feel like you're talking to "your best friend" so it come across on the camera. I love how and what you share with us. Thank you for that. I wish I could have shared it when my kids were little.
listening to you talk about the lofty expectations we have on ourselves was so therapeutic for me. I struggle severely with perfectionism & anxiety traits that I don't want. my brain is split between needing things a certain way & just going with the flow. Hearing you get in to that was just what I needed. BTW you've motivated me to look for my first apron to put that pep in me. :) God Bless you & I'm thankful for your channel.
Hi Kimmy! I love what you said about letting go & acceptance & choosing happiness. Sometimes I need to be reminded. You inspire me to be a better mom & wife, thank you so much. You have a wonderful family. God bless you all! Hugs from the Philippines.
You can take cooking classes all over your area, but my grandparents subscribed to all the cooking magazines back in the day(now we have internet) and commit that each week you will try something new! The reason why I say do it now is so you can have those memories w/ your kids helping you in the kitchen, to help them learn too, but you will have a broad taste pallet w/ your children. Best memories are made in the kitchen! Love your channel! I am binge watching ya! lol Marisa in Az(former Pastry Chef)
You were speaking right to me with the letting go stuff...... I so needed that at the moment... almost 17 yo daughter learning to drive, going out with boys, working, making her own decisions with money (some that I don't particularly like). She's making her life and I gotta remember that it's ok she has the tools ❤
I loved this q+a. so much fun to follow you around the house and "chat!" I enjoy watching you because you are so real to life and I can identify with all the household chores that go into making a home for lots of kids! (I have 4)
I just have tell you that this video touched me. When you were putting your makeup on talking about letting go & choosing happiness, I broke down & cried. I really needed to hear that message. I am a new subbie & i kno this video is older but ive been watching several of your videos, & I really feel this was meant to find me & wanted to thank you!! I'm also a Sahm & connect with the struggles of trying to be a good mom.
I love your style with these Q and A videos! You're just doing your thing, housework, laundry, and I feel like I'm sitting there with you at the other side of the table sipping my tea. You definitely have a natural talent for being likable and authentic and friendly, and I love that you get paid for that. I'm extremely introverted so it wouldn't work for me, but you are using your gifts to brighten our days, and that's awesome! New subbie here. :)
Thank you so much for being honest about the hard parts about having a family. I totally agree that anxiety gets better (and joy really goes up) when you stop having high expectations for yourself and your family and instead focus on happiness.
I'm 23, I'm not married and I don't have any kids but I just love to watch your videos! They're so soothing to watch/ start my day with.. Your positive attitude and your love for your family really shows !
I just found your channel from the sidebar when I was watching a costco haul lol. How have I missed you all these years?!?!?!?! You're fantastic! I find you so refreshing and real and encouraging. I'm a mom to a 6,4, and almost 2 year old and we're going to start doing foster care soon. I just wanted to say Hi and let you know how you brightened my day today watching some of your videos. My 4 year old son has been a tiny tyrant and your energy was a breath of fresh air :)
I've been watching you for about 6 months and you make me feel very hopeful. I'm a stay at home mom that has been suffering with anxiety and depression. I have a lot of days where it's still hard for me to get out of bed but it's getting better. =)
I absolutely LOVE your channel! I just found you yesterday and I cannot even begin to tell you how many of your videos I have watched lol!! So many recipes and house cleaning/organizing ideas I am taking from you! I work outside the home, but so many of your ideas I feel could help me save time in my home!! Thanks so much for great content, I am a new subscriber for life!
You should be proud of this channel!!!🤗👍🏻. You motivate me and remind me that it’s all about turning the “have to-do’s” into the “get to-do’s”!!! Keep it up mama!💪🏻
This is seriously the best Q&A I have ever seen! You're so fun and cheerful and positive and talented! You crack me up and also uplift and motivate me all in the same video. Your children are so truly lucky.
your life is your business. You want to tell us that is cool. If you don't tell us that is cool. I'm basically an open book. There are few chapters no one gets to know. You are awesome
I SO needed this pep talk this morning. Especially the part about letting go of this ideal and vision that I have and just trusting God. Thank you for being candid
Love your honesty in this video! Your channel has been truly inspirational to me the past few weeks. I decided that I wanted to make RU-vid videos as well (a long time ago) but have just been too nervous to actually move forward with it. After binge watching your videos, you gave me inspiration to take the leap and upload my first video (its not the greatest, but I understand there is a learning curve). Thank you for your continual inspiration and honesty about life, home, staying at home, and being a mother. Love your channel!
I'm not a mum, and probably will never be so when I first came across your channel I didn't think a lot of it would be applicable to me, but I've watched a lot of your videos and you've inspired me a lot to improve in several areas of my life, thank you very much.
I enjoyed watching this video while I washed the dishes. You really are a breath of fresh air. Thanks so much for your honesty and candidness (is that word?).
I hung out with you while I drank my coffee this morning. 💗💗💗💗 my favorite question was about your apron, your supermom cape goes on the front! What an awesome start to my day. 😊
Stay at home mom is a job!!! After all my kids were in school I went to work part time and although there were adjustments it was good for everyone because the children had more responsible and I was fulfilled because I was doing something that someone actually paid me to do. So both times of my life were good: stay at home mom and working outside of the home too. It's amazing how people's lives are so much the same especially people in the church. Trials with kids, family get togethers, folding cloths, pack meeting, aprons, etc. love your blog. I'm new to this but just wanted you to know how much I enjoy you and your ideas. And yes I am cleaning and organizing my bathroom today. But I'm starting a quilt with our trip to Nauvoo as the theme so I may spend more time in the sewing room than cleaning.
I love your channel! were teaching my 3 year old to pick up her toys when she's done and she will even clean her spills! I find she naturally mimics me around the house dusting and wiping table tops 😊
i started to cry when you talked about letting go. we do not have kids, but i am living my dream on youtube as well. loving your channel, not sure why i am just finding it considering we're all about the same "SCHTUFF" lol. but man, it made me want to call my dad [single father when i was growing up] and call him to tell him how much i love him. so thanks for that
How exciting for Jonah.. We are a proud military family for over 24 years.. I served, my husband serves and now my oldest son serves soon to be followed by our second son... We have seen the good and almost worst case scenario of the military life..
Loved the way you did this video! I appreciated the wisdom with 'letting go.' My kids are all teens and soon transitioning into adulthood. My grandma always said when it comes to your kids, get rid of all pre-conceived notions. Like you said, you have this picture in your mind of how things will be as a mom. Through the Lord, I'm trying to rid myself of anxiety, among other things, giving them over to Him. (Otherwise the anxiety will take over.) Thank you for sharing your life!
I love watching you. I watch every single video and on days where I wanna watch more and more I go back and watch all your old ones! .. Lol haven't followed u for that long but you sure are one of my favs! I'm glad you make money off of it so I'm hoping u never stop this! 🙈 and u could be a great actress lol I've thought of that before ha ha 😊😊
thank u thank u for making this video lofty expectations that dont turn out, HURT, getting over that sometimes is harder than the REAL challenges families face
I love that you are making money off your videos! It is work to make and edit videos and you deserve to be paid for your hard work. You have definitely motivated me and I love watching your videos while I am cleaning my kitchen or folding the laundry. Thanks!
Thankyou Kimmy for getting so candid about you & your family & expectations while doing your makeup. I think we all go in thinking similar things and then 'boom', not gonna happen; & how it is ok to let it go & to not feel too bad about the small stuff. Ps: I have some of my Granny's old aprons & love them so much! I really enjoy your videos :)
Loved this vid and I LOVED how you did it!!! I felt like I was a friend hanging out with you and we were just having a chat about "things"! You have a talent at making everyone feel special and appreciated! Was having a bad day, so this was fabulous, great timing and just what I needed to watch, thank you!
I feel the same way regarding my children high expectations and all that . Thank you for your honesty, I just needed to hear that today feel so much better ❤
I like how you did u our Q&A video you blessed me when you talk about letting go..if you can get things done it's not the end of the world. I been asking God to show me way to enjoy my children more and not stress when I don't get everything on my list making time to have pillow fight with my daughter. .thanks for being you.
i love your videos! As a home school mom of three, I'm always looking for ways to SIMPLIFY our daily routines. You're tips are amazing! I can't wait to try them out! I've never tried cookie butter, but I LOVE to put peanut butter on my waffles and pancakes!
I made your meatloaf in georgia for my daughter and her husband and little drakie. They absolutely loved it, and raved about it. Jon even took a meatloaf sandwich to work, which never happens. He said their luch at work was 10$ love that new washer and dryer. We dont have speedqueen here, but i would sure love one. Love your videos. Especially loved the one on your food storage. Ive mentioned you in my frugal living column, and recommended your videos. Love ya from Kentucky
Don't comment often but had to say I loved this Q&A and always enjoy watching your honesty, generosity, etc as they really shine through. Hugs to you and the family 😘
I love this vlog!!! You are so real and as a mommy of 5 one in Heaven it is sometimes so nice to hear advice from other mommies in the same boat!!!! THANK YOU!
After seeing this video last week, I picked up some crunchy Biscoff. Oh WOW!!!! New favorite special treat in our house. We cut up bananas into slices, and put a dollop on each slice. Soooo gooood!
Love your videos and how real you keep it. Love that you take time for yourself, this is something I need to learn to do more of. Thank you for your motivation!
Great video! I like how you did the Q & A. It was nice seeing you doing this around the house and just talking to us about stuff in general. Great video thumbs up!!!
I'm new to your channel and I find myself loving it... but I felt like I needed to comment on your folding clothes skills HILARIOUS!!! Thank you for sharing your life :)
Hi Kimmie, I cried when you mentioned how you started using the apron, and I remembered my grandmother, my mom found a apron she had and we had someone make an apron just like that style, it's a short apron and has pockets, I haven't worn it, but you made me realize I should wear it with much pride, so again .. thank you 😊
Love this video. Especially when you were saying how you were nervous youtubing at first. I've got lots of ideas for my videos but the minute I film then I hate it and feel silly so end up deleting them and leaving them 🙈
I loved this way of a Q&A! Great job! Also, when I hear you chatting along I do feel like your my friend and we are chatting. I catch myself going along listening and answering back. Lol! My kids crack up about that. 😜 I feel we are in similar stages in life so I relate well with your channel. Keep up the good work. It brightens my day. I have to say your answer about likes and dislikes of parenthood is spot on! I do see that my anxiety is less as I try my best to accept that my kids are different peg shapes. They mold into different shapes here and there. Sometimes after they get through a phase they fit but then the grow again and the shape is not fitting again. Does that make any sense??😁
I was meant to hear this today!!! My youngest s 14,I have such a bad time letting go.I want to keep them my babies. I had this issue with my older two. They are 26 and 25. One is married and a mom. And I have to remember that type are capable women, and not my babies. I am a Granny,I watch my grandson 4days a week. So I just baby him.
I think it's great to give the kids chores. It helps them to learn responsibilities. My boys have always had to do some chores. It's been good for them.
Awesome q and a! You are so great with your kids. I'd love to be a stay at home mom, or at least work part time when I have kids. I love your videos. You are entertaining to watch, but also informative.
love you Kimmy, your the best. You totally inspire me everyday, whether I need a quick dinner recipe or just a laugh, I always look forward to your videos.
Hi Kimmy, I really enjoyed this video! I liked how you answered questions throughout your daily activities! I have been watching you now for about 6 months and I look forward to your vlogs! Hope your having a good day :)
Love your videos, personality, "real-ness", and that you aren't going to apologize for making money on YT. You are awesome...and almost make me want to buy an apron...almost. ;)
Great vlog on family and letting go! It's so hard to do. I suck at it! I've learned not to look at other families and think "wow how do they do it all" the reality is they probably don't! Most of what people post on Facebook is not real!!!
Just love your videos, I look forward to them everyday, you are so uplifting & inspiring, happy, upbeat, I try to live my life with a smile on my face, all is well, it could always be worse, keep up the great job, God bless to you & your family.
Newer subscriber. I'm 55 and have never worn aprons. That's now going to change. I have a couple passed down to me from my mom and grandmother that I'll be wearing. I can see how it'd be motivational. Thanks for the terrific idea.
Your comment "God has a funny sense of humor but I REALLY don't need you to be humorous right now God" was my favorite part. My husband and I have said the same thing lol
Thank you for being so honest! I wish this were around when I was a young mother and being hard on myself (so that I didn't feel so alone). You have a great, healthy, realistic attitude about motherhood! Are you Mormon?
I had to pause and say two things: #1 - Can you please share a tutorial on how you fix your hair? Is it the tipsy tail just done over and over? #2 - I have two homemade houseboats. On days I don't go anywhere, I will wear them all day. I'm 30. No shame! They are my best friends...and my husbands nemesis. 😛
I love you and your family. You are awesome!! So relatable and yet, so smart and so incredibly kind. Thank you. As you often motivate me around my house and with my kiddos and hub, too!! XO
Great video. I'm retired now and an empty nester, and I agree with you. Sometimes you just need a day to unwind and spend it in bed. I love those days!!! I am fairly new to your channel and I love watching your family!!! Love ya lots...big hugs from me in Canada!!!
