Dang, I'm a nursing student in America so I'm really interested in watching these kinds of videos. It still surprises me how much money is worth in every country and how different it is. When you said med interns get 2000 pesos (around $40) I had to switch my brain a bit LOL med interns earn $3000 average a month here in the US average so that's around 150,000 pesos. Thanks for the informative video!
@@chowsta168 they don't, the culture's different so they can rely on family until they are able to be independent on their own even if that takes them 30 something years in life. Also, even then the things in the Philippines are a lot cheaper compared to first world countries.
med school is so expensive, but med workers are not compensated enough huhu, proves that you guys do it out of the kindness of your hearts, nakakainspire!
Somehow as a 3rd yr med student now at ph The fact we get overworked and underpaid / not even paid at all just really makes me depressed Can you possibly make a video on how we as med students conquer depression/ self doubt especially when we see our peers who have major careers now? Thanks a lot
I watched this out of interest and when you said that 2020 is your year, I remembered that you passed the Physician Licensure Examination. 2020 really is your year, Doc Ian! Congratulations!
Medical Doctor is Glamorous Job but your not have to enjoy your lifestyle you give your 100% to yourself to Serve thats the difficulty side of a doctor but the Good things is you can Saved Life. God bless u all..
I've been binging your videos these days and it's one of the reasons I'm so determined in taking a med course. I'm planning to be an anesthesiologist even though I'm still 15. Hope i'll achieve my dreams and i'll surely come back here and proudly present to you my diploma hekhok. God bless to us all and btw, taga Cebu ko HAHA
Hmp, I wanna be a cardiothoracic surgeon pero nawalan ako ng inspiration ng ilang taon, ngayon lang talaga bumalik yung hunger ko for my dream.. Thanks ate:(
Aspiring anesthesiologist po. Kaso regarding the salary po it seems it will take some time to repay my parents, dont get me wrong im not for the money, the fact is my passion is being a doctor but also im passionate of my parents, just concerned.

I’m a 3rd year business management student but i really want to enter med school once i finish my course. Which is better? take a pre med or take nmat and deretso na med school na? Hindi ako matalino so kinakabahan talaga ako😣😔
Hi! Im also currently a PGI. I have a friend who took up business management and is now 3rd year medical student. He just took medicine because his mother said so. So far surviving naman. Med school is not all brains lang, perseverance and determination lang talaga, if gusto mo talaga, you will definitely survive. You can do it! 🤗
Hello po Doc! Clarify lang po, if incorporated na po yung PGI sa curriculum, does that mean UP and Ateneo graduates can immediately take the PLE? Thank you po
Hi ate!! Ask ko lang what do u exactly mean by a teaching hospital? Kapag ba non-teaching hospital ibigsabihin they just let you on your own and not teach you? Hahahaa
Tricia Cunanan teaching hospital kapag tied to a school a hospital :) They still teach you kapag non-teaching hospital. I think mas marami lang conferences ang teaching hospital compared to the non-teaching hospitals
Doc can i ask if there's hope for an aspiring student like me? I am taking up nursing but my family cannot afford me studying or continuing to med school. Is there a way for me to still study med school? I know ppl be saying to work first, but regarding nurses salary on ph, i dont think i can appy to med school. Can i still be a doctor? Like is there a school who offers scholarships or anything for a financially incapable? Thank you doc! I btw enjoyed your vlogs and i subscribed because you give my little med heart happiness. 💙 stay safe!
Hello, doc! I would like to know the timeline from graduating med school in march to PLE. What month do we start with hospital matching and when do we start applying for PLE?
Ian Sta. Maria Oh I see. 😊 How many months should you study before the PLE? Is it advisable to take the September boards after you finish PGI in June the same year?
Ano pong medschool yung masusuggest nyo na medyo budget friendly pero good quality po? Pre-med grad here and license Rpm hoping mabasa nyo po🙏🙏 planning to continue to med school po😇 Godbless po
@@IanStaMaria I'm now on my 40s and thinking about going to a med school, but I'm still a lil bit skeptical and apprehensive... You think it's quite too late for me to be a part of the med circle?
