@@vthomas2313 I have not yet, my income isn’t stable yet to where the banks would allow that, I’ve got 3 different businesses and they aren’t producing enough (yet) for it to make sense. Interest rates have risen since I bought my car and I’m not sure if it would decrease all that much
I bought a 2019 Corvette Z06 3LZ convertible, admiral blue and 7 speed manual with Z07 package for 140k CAD! ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE CAR, IT IS SO MUCH FUN TO DRIVE! I bought the car this year (2021)
Wow that thing must be maxed out! That sounds like a beautiful spec. So that is around $112k in USD? The Z06 is such a joy, pure adrenaline and will look amazing forever! Thank you for watching my video and checking out the channel; it means a lot!
Love the video bought a 16 z06 last December and already put 13k miles on it and I’m on my 3rd set of tires and probably 5th oil change. But 7 track days are included in there as well. Just wait til you take that monster to a track. It’s the most fun I’ve ever had.
Joe that is awesome! I am thrilled to hear that you are driving that car- These babies were made to be driven. I am excited to take my car on the track! I hope to take my car to COTA via Edge Addicts here soon. What track do you go to?
@@kobyspurgin I’m in Northern California so I have thunderhill raceway which I love and then Laguna seca which I’ve gone once but the sound restriction was way low and I lost two sessions due to sound. I was in stealth mode and it was still too loud. Just for info if your in stealth mode your about 96db under full throttle. I’m taking it to Sonoma raceway soon as well.
@@joemartinez1162 I've heard good things about Thunderhill, and I know the sound restrictions with Laguna Seca is super frustrating; I am shocked that even on stealth mode the car is too loud. I hope you have fun at Sonoma Raceway. Are you a member at Thunderhill or do they just have track days?
@@kobyspurgin nope not a member, just got the info from a tuning shop a year or so ago cuz I wanted to get into tracking a car. I don’t know if it’s for everywhere but if you look on motorsportreg.com it lists all the track days and locations, there’s a ton of organizers around here and there’s track days available basically every weekend. Just gets expensive quickly. Especially if you buy track insurance, that’s usually 450-500$ a day where the track fees for thunderhill are as low as 150 to around 300 a day. Laguna is usually 100 more a day than thill.
@@joemartinez1162 Ahh I see, so track insurance is where the fees start stacking quickly. Is it mandatory to buy track insurance from the racetrack's provider or can 3rd party providers be used?
Good breakdown. Finance with a local credit union, they will give you by far the best rate. I was offered nearly 2x the rate by a large bank, Ally won't be much different.
I completely agree! I hear RFBCU is really good right now- a lot of my friends are getting down to 2%. Thank you for watching my video and checking out the channel; it means a lot
Great video!. I live in California and I have a 2017 Z06. We spend about the same amount of money a year on the car the only difference it's on the gas here It's a little more expensive. Next time Don't forget to add the amount of money we spend on car wash a year to always keep it nice and clean!.. 😅
That’s not a bad idea! Yeah gas here is way lower compared to California. I have a video on what products I use to wash my car - I should’ve thought about adding that! 🤣
Corvette World was an excellent experience for me! I really enjoyed Robert in the sales department and Marty was very nice in the finance department. That test drive is a lot of fun when Robert tells you to take that turn without using the brakes - thank you for checking out the video and my channel! It means a lot! Tell me more about your Z06!
Great vid, enjoy the real world angle vs. the more common performance/upgrade content. DD my 2019 C7Z, swapped the SC2's for AS3+ to minimize near death experiences during torrential downpours here in the tropics :D Also pulled the Stage 3 aero canards & center wickerbill to help get a little more range out of each fill up. Certainly not a track ready setup but definitely easier to live with and still very enjoyable to drive. Very easy to reconfigure for a track day as well. Side note, pick up some decent shop tools (not a huge investment) & knock out some of the basic MX yourself, save a few bucks & learn more about the car. Again great stuff & enjoy your Z!
Great comment - I appreciate you for checking out my channel! I literally had to pull over once because the basic cup tires were hydroplaning across the highway. Glad I got some different tires! I have been thinking about going to the stage 3 look here recently!
What mods did you do first? I want to do an Haltech/AFE air intake and Corsa headers, mid-pipe and exhaust first. Performance parts and wheels are a killer to the checking account haha!
@@kobyspurgin get a flex fuel sensor, MGW short shifter, 2" long tube headers American racing, "off road" X pipe, haltec intake or 3inch, meth injection, aeroforce Guage, lower it on the factory bolts, tune through 820 Performance, Toyo 888r tires. That's a good start, you'll be over 700 matching torque to the wheels, you'll thank me later 👌😎

My cost fluctuates. New Forgeline Wheels, tires, track days, several oil and fluid changes. Do insurance with National Corvette Museum. I have Hagerty now but NCM is less.
Buying a corvette at 19 is an impressive feat!! Be very proud! I bought mine at a time when they were low. I couldn’t imagine paying $80k for one right now!
geico wanted $750 a MONTH for insurance for a used BMW 2018 M3 (last year) here in Brooklyn New York. I am 46 years old, never any accidents or tickets. insane. Allstate wanted even more!
@@kobyspurgin I just called geico and was quoted $1050 a month, yes a MONTH for a 2014 c7 corvette 3LT. i thought 750 was bad but an older less valuable car now warrants a thousand dollars a month for auto insurance by geico. wow talk about a racketeering scam. force ppl to buy your auto insurance or you can't drive and make sure the price is jacked up
@@defaultworkouts that’s insanely high, I’m licensed in insurance and never saw rates that high. I’m speculating, but that’s definitely based on your area.
That 32k down was a big help I guess….I recently purchased my 2018 c7 stingray at $55,000 and put only $3200 down and my payments are $860 a month with progressive insurance at $160 a month…..wish I could’ve gotten a z06 but in this market right now that’s out of my range unfortunately 😞
Yes the $32,000 down payment was the biggest piece to my puzzle; without that high of an equity position the banks most likely wouldn't have given me the loan. I was very fortunate to be shopping for my Z06 pre-covid and pre-shortages. The prices at that point in time were $60k for a 2015 1LZ and up to $73k for 2019 3LZ. I was also pleased that I didn't need anything additional done to the car. Your insurance is dead even with mine. Have you been with Progressive for a long time? Everyone else was so much higher than State Farm for me.
@@kobyspurgin no my insurance experience was very close to yours….I forget the first company I tried but they told me around $240 a month but progressive told me $160 and here where I live is not a lot of cars like that so many smaller companies just simply denied me just because of the type of car but I’m working on basically turning my stingray into a z06 I’ve done a lot of research and yes it can be done except for the wider frame….I can wide body it by ACS but not actually expanding the frame itself….going to cam it with a MAGNUSON supercharger….well down the road at least lol
@@PHONEPARTSFORLESS I would honestly just keep the basic stingray body and focus on the performance parts. That's where a lot of the fun is. The body is nice if you have it, but ACS is fairly expensive. The C7 stingray looks good if you add the wicker bill spoiler, side rocker panels and stage 2/3 front spoiler.
Hi Koby, I own a 2017 Grand Sport and also live in Texas. GM recommends Top tier gasoline for these cars and WalMart does not sell Top Tier gas. I would encourage you to look this up and read about it. I only use Shell Premium.
Okay that’s good to know! I haven’t seen any problems yet, but I care a lot about my car so I guess I’ll put better gas in it from now on. Thank you for checking out my channel and watching my videos 👍🏼 it means a lot!
@@Hey_Blinkin Hello Hey. I agree that Mobil, Exxon and others all make excellent gas. I was trying to recommend to Koby that he not encourage others to put cheap gas into a Corvette (or any other high performance vehicle) when the manufacturer recommends Top Tier gasoline.
I payed 82,000 in 18 for my Z06 and it only has 6 or 7 thousand miles on it. 155 for an oil change is high, I take mine to Chevy and it’s around 100 bucks.

@@corvettecamm weather mode is non-negotiable for me when it rains, but it 100% depends on your tires. I generally rock all season run flat’s because I daily drive it
@@GasGuzzlerz no problem!! It was honestly hard for me (at that time) to find a C7 Z06 with that many miles on it. There were ‘15s with 1700 miles on them and they were asking 75k+. It was hard to find on average because an Automatic with Artic white and adrenaline red interior was $4k more than others. The spice red and orange were only on ‘19s and those were always around $88k
It seems like you drive a lot. I own a Z06, but I dont drive it as much.Tell me about the oil change. Do you change the oil when the oil life indicator says 0% or you just go by the mileage which is 5000 miles. I really want to know if I can go just by the mileage and not worry about the oil life indicator saying 0%. You know what I mean. thank you.
The oil life number is based off of the 5,000 mile number. So 2,500 miles will = 50%. Your car will tell you when it’s time to change the oil! Thank you for commenting and checking out the channel. Feel free to ask me more questions if you need some answers!!
@@kobyspurgin Just some extra info that I have gathered. It also figures in TIME and how the car is driven. For reference, the car will lose oil life JUST by sitting in the garage, literally. I think its based on 12 months. Track use; I will lose 6-10% oil life in one day from doing a full track day on a road course such as Road Atlanta. Its pretty interesting really.
@@jster171 good to know- I have yet to track mine, but I have put on 16,000 miles pretty quickly since I use it as my daily driver. It feels like I’m just throwing away good oil just because I’ve hit that magical 5000 mi number
@@kobyspurgin Im afriad thats not true. I changed the oil 2400 miles ago and oil life indicator says I have only 20% oil life left. So I dont think the indicator operates the way you said it. Based on what you said I should have at least 50% oil life left, but I dont. So other factors are definitely accounted for when it comes to oil life indicators.
@@ramindavani good to know - as per Jason’s comment above it seems like other factors can play a role in it. I daily drive mine and it seems to go along with what I have said, but I know others drive less (and or harder if on the track).
