Don't ask salary or how much a lawyer makes. Relatives and friends want free advice and wants us to take their case for free or with very less charges.
Lawyers earn as they years by. When I started in 2002 I was paid 500 rupees a month.2007 I was practicing individually I was earning more than lakhs per month. As a Lawyer I was not expecting a salary. What is given does not fulfill even my transport expenses. First years we work with no salary Next year we earn what we work For. After that with knowledge ,earning is limitless. Lawyer should know law, should have management skills to manage clients and office.should have skills to anticipate what judge will ask. It is combined skills, that's why a lawyer became successful politician etc. I
To start with you have lots to learn about the court, each of its sections, applications, filing procedure, compliances, submissions, courtcraft and so on which are not taught in the college. Of course college education makes it easy to learn all this.
@@gamingearnings7528 oh lol. Yeah. Someone should tell him that to become a judge one have to give exam🤣 And for practicing as a lawyer Bar exam isn't compulsory. It's only compulsory if they are working as a advocate. (Correct me if I am wrong)
@@tanvi4670 it is mandatory to give AIBE exam to practice in Indian courts. If you pass this then you’ll be able to practice in courts otherwise you are just a lawyer with law degree. Not an advocate
Being an advocate practicing at kerala hc i totally agree with her, n let me say i was paid only 5 k during my initial days, yes but there are firms which will give u 10-15k..the college fee part was also correct coz i also studied in govt law clg in kerala.. But not sure about the next year increase of 25k-35k in salary part
@@lly_09 i currently study in a govt law clg in kerala. You need to be a native of kerala in order to get the reservation otherwise you have to score 90% in KLEE. They teach both English and Malayalam. But mostly they use malayalam . So it will be difficult for you. You can write the CUSAT entrance exam. The fee will be higher compared to govt law clg.
6-7 years experienced advocate earnings depends on no. of cases the senior gets. If the advocate handles 1-2 case each in two sessions. He/she earns ₹2k-4k per day/-.so monthly ₹ 50,000/- to 1lac on an average. Senior earns on drafting per case ₹20-30k.
I have been thinking that law gets payed a lot. Between will the salary gets increased after experience? What’s the maximum amount someone can earn? Also after completing BA English and getting Three years LLB will be useful or not? Or will someone have to do a masters in the same?
So true it happens with me n I got Rs.200 per day for the whole day from 10 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. It is the harsh reality of advocates n in initial days u even don't get money bcoz u r getting chance for practicing that is more than anything for u (seniors thought).
Thanks so much🙌 grateful for providing help understanding it for poor students its very helpful.. stay bless mam and I wish you keep continue this kind deed
It's ridiculous idea with ludicrous mindset instead doing practice in H.C REQUIRES PATIENCE AND SKILLS THENCE DESIRE FOR MONEY....OR ELSE...LAW IS NOT FOR YOU REGARDLESS YOUR KNOWLEDGE ETC....MERELY DEGREES WON'T EARN MONEY....
But sir what about first generation lawyers and asirants who are working actually hard to achieve goals and when it will come to practice it is not a bit easy some highly qualified advocates do not let first generation lawyers to practice under them it matters alot and afcorse patience is most essential element for a human being but in initial phase of you dont get enough case to even manage your daily base survivial
You are a wonderful honest lady. Rather than focusing merely on a job you should use your knowledge & skills for your own and others' good along with earning money. Good luck to you for future.
Not necessarily, a practicing lawyer has a low salary but corporate lawyers have an average package of 15-20 LPA which even goes up to 30-40+ based on the individual capacity
Law degree wouldn't give a single penny.. It's a long long process.. You have to learn under a good lawyer.. The amount you'll get is stipend. You must have good connection to get cases. My father is criminal lawyer and even I want to become a lawyer! But he is not agreeing.. Because it's a profession where skills and tactics matter.
After spending Several thousands- one gets LLB from Govt College!! After spending several lakhs she got Higher degree!! And according to her she knows , after practicing at Kerala HC , she might get about 15k??? - Is this Not pathetic??? But then SENARIO is getting worse as times pass !! !!!! I remember my friend when offered a junior engineer job in MUNICIPAL corporation he was told that he would get 120 Rs per month in 1965 and he replied that the lady who gives Water to people makes almost same per month!!! So what is the use of becoming Engineer??! With increasing population we are in a very bad shape!! What I cannot understand is that why education is so expensive??? When students still have to take private tutoring classes?!! Which again charge huge some of money ??? In One word PATHETIC
There are 4 stages. First 4 years its almost no case no fees. 2nd stage its no fees, but we will start getting cases almost for free. 3rd stage is case with fees and this will last for another 15-20 years. 4th stage is No case, fee only.
IIT engineering fees was Rs 1200 a semester - only because it is a government college.(circa mid 1995) *Tax bearers pay up the rest* We loved to study in govt colleges - they are the best and value for money, unlike those who bring truck loads of money from the gulf and pay *donation to colleges which we dont have*
This is the root of the problem With no set salaries - lawyers struggle initially till they start fleecing people astronomical amounts per hearing & justice become so costly for tbe common man - Hence it is important to have decent salaries & then set limits per hearing so that lawyers cannot over charge Set per hearing charges as per type of court
@@u56701 dear Ram Jethmalani was from Bombay University and you can go to Maharashtra University through mhcet which is the best option after clat if you not get good college through clat. and Maharashtra University rank 11th after top 10 nlu and dear for your kind information nlu and like Maharashtra Mumbai University these colleges offer good intership which is not basically provided by private colleges aur other non recognised law college's and these colleges can also provide backup if you unable to earn good in your advocate carrier due to lack of speaking skill and lack of connection with good lawyers or if you are unable to do this by providing a work in top law firm of starting salary 30 to 50k
I am not giving you the 100% surety that if you are from nlu and you are from like Maharashtra University then you will become a good advocate but a good internship good aluminium network will help you much in your carrier compare to normal private college

Thakur saab, honestly kya hai na, ek email mein aapko English ki galatiyan samjhana mumkin nahin hai....but I can surely assert...the lady made mistakes in the language, in grammar and certainly in accent....if ever you have known what these are, you may seriously focus on them rather than proving repeatedly how much of a grasp you have on the English vernacular....all the best Thakur saab😁🙏
