kebda guy is a very honest and good man. I love your videos, your humility, your character, your vibes what a a channel I discovered here. 3 days everyday watching and comment, I rarely interacted with any video that how good your videos are
I had a chance to eat just kebda before 2 years ago one of my colleagues made me who is from Alex. She had prepared a kidney dish too. Both dishes are unique and very delicious.
Super awesome to see the street food of Egypt! :D Totally love your videos, I've recently started learning Arabic and it's super cool to already pick up some words from your conversations with the people your meet :)
Thanks so much! And wow you're learning Arabic, that's awesome, best of luck to you! It is a crazy complicated language, as you know. Right now I am only focusing on verbal communication, I would love to become conversationally fluent but I know I am far from that right now. What dialect are you learning? From what I have gathered, the Egyptian spoken dialect is understood all over the Arabic speaking world since many of their movies and much of their music is famous. If you were to, say, learn the dialect they speak in Morocco (for example), people might have trouble understanding you in different Arabic speaking countries. That's what I've been hearing anyway, and not just from Egyptians😅. Someone from Lebanon said the same thing as well as a girl I met from Saudi Arabia.
@@Gventures hehe thank you so much! It's indeed a crazy complicated language, but super fascinating and also super cool to be able to read a new alphabet! I'm following a course at my university where they teach Modern Standard Arabic, which I think is actually spoken nowhere because every place has its own dialect xD my teacher did tell me that if you speak this in an Arab country then people will understand you, so let's hope that's true hahaha, I might focus on the Egyptian dialect in the future, since I have a few friends who are from there and they always tell me amazing stories about the country! Seeing your videos also makes me pretty hyped to go of course ;) also cool to know that the Egyptian dialect is actually understood more broadly in other Arab countries, didn't know that yet!!
@@elineshappyplace2562 Wow that's very cool, I should start learning the alphabet. And everything is written in Modern Standard Arabic like signs, books, etc (not text to a friend I guess, but I need to learn this soon). Yes I think everyone understands spoken Modern Standard Arabic which is very useful (also known as FusHa/Fus7a-I only know how to write in Franco Arabic, and probably that is also not good at all, but it's the only way to write words/phrases down so I remember how to pronounce them later). If or when you come to Egypt, message me, that would be awesome to meet! And I could try and speak some Arabic with you and see how much I understand of MSA
@@Gventures yess you should definitely start learning the alphabet, it's super cool and also not too difficult I think (tho, being a chinese studies major, I also just got used to difficult new scripts probably haha) but I think with some practice you get used to it quickly :D would definitely be cool if we could meet up in Egypt yes! it'll probably take a while for me till I actually plan a trip to there tho haha, do you have any future plans on how long you want to stay in Egypt or you just see how things go?
@@elineshappyplace2562 Kind of just going with the flow but I have an apartment here now and am expecting to be here a year or two or more, kind of just taking it as it goes, but planning on having it as my base and traveling around the country and surrounding countries 😁🥰😍
Thank you! Yes I love trying new foods and being able to interact with the locals so I've been trying to learn the language, but dang Arabic is HARD! 😅
Ahaha oh thank you! I am trying but my vocabulary is still very small and I make many mistakes. But, I am still trying and still learning. Step by step😄😁😍
the way that you speak Arabic is just soooo sweet and delicate. You sound perfect!! Very loveable how you sound when you speak Egyptian dear. Keep it up!!
@@Gventures wooohooow, good you're excited about it, well why not you come to the free online meetings where I teach some foreigners Arabic, give it a try. Also there is a very important topic that i can help with to increase the views for ya.
i love your channel you make me travel across egypt. i want to go there am waiting for the new museum to open. you are the best! keep up the good work! love from greece
Awesome, thanks so much Panagiotis! I actually just met up with some subscribers from Greece recently while they were here in Cairo! Might upload a short video about our adventures together
It's interestin that the simpler & more humble they are, the more generous they seem. You'd think the guy with the food cart is more keen on getting paid. Nit the case in Egypt. They seem more happy with your company than about you buying sandwiches from em
Yeah. This guy also doesn't own the food cart directly, so he probably doesn't care about the business that much, it's just a job for him. But yeah Egyptians are friendly
the guy spoke the truth , all food carts in egypt serving liver sandwiches are imported not local liver.Imported liver is much cheaper cuz most western dont eat it while local liver is very expensive , usually more expensive than meat.
