This video saved my life. I was literally about to smoke THE WEED, and now I'm on my way to enroll in the US Army (even though I'm Italian). God bless you Mr. McCockiner sir
I think because bears fans know how dumpster fire our organization is. We still have Erik Kramer as our best single season passing qb with 3800 yards. I want to use this year to grade Fields officially.
@@anthonygreen127 you’re definitely not wrong. I’m far from a Fields truther and I’m not sold on him yet, but to say that the coaching staff and severe lack of talent isn’t an excuse is kind of crazy.
Not a bears fan but what he said about fields was dead wrong and it’s obvious he hasn’t watched the bears and just looks at the stats fields absolutely needs help I didn’t even know a center could be bad before I saw sam mustipher
@@clickbait3753the only man more inspirational is Tom Brady willing his defense to play at elite levels (don’t forget his skill being shown with his amazing check downs)
I mean someone has to get the ball to them lol. There’s very few other QBs in the league right now who could make that throw to Adams in that Chiefs game. Just an unreal throw
Barry has nothing left to prove after this video. GOAT sports youtuber and true American hero, he will be celebrated at the start of each NFL game this year along with the troops.
Self control is one of the most important skills a youtube can have, and Barry has done nothing to dissuade the rumor that he can't see Jimmy G without getting a stiffy
8:40 Love could die tomorrow and he's still only our 2nd biggest bust ever unless Jordyn Brooks, Patrick Queen, Noah Igbinoghene and CEH end up as HOFers. You guys forget we selected Tony Mandarich with Barry, Deion, and Derrick Thomas available and 1 pick after Troy Aikman.
For all his physical talent he has yet to conquer the weather though.. wind bowl on MNF vs pats has Beasley wide open, throws awful Int.. wind bowl vs Ravens playoff game might be his best, at Chicago this past season.. he was awful, one of the few times they ran the ball Singletary&Cook had 220+ then theres what we saw vs Bengals… that day was excited seeing all the snow saying good luck nobody coming here an winning in this weather! For me that beatdown vs Bengals was one of the worst playoff loses in team history: josh was bad, defense got owned by 3/5 backup OL, 2rookies in secondary for Benglas too.. was the stripper worth it Josh?!! Bills defense has to be better this season if they want to think title
@@thishereanakinguyif the bills don't make it past the divisional round this year I think dorsey might be out the door. He seemed like the perfect OC the first half of the season but I think defenses caught up and he couldnt adjust. Hopefully an entire off season of film will help him though
@@happyjoe613 with the best supporting cast in the league. Jimmy G could’ve taken that team to the Super Bowl with how unimpressive the NFC is. All he had to do is beat Brock Purdy.
Prediction: Mccoy gonna somehow win enough games to create a QB controversy, the cards will choose Murray who will shit the bed so hard they have no choice but to go back to Mccoy, only for it to be too little too late.
@@abelmeszlenyi77yeah man I mean the one time he gets a good team (which was the worst team in the mcvay era talent wise) he wins a ring and woulda had the SB mvp if ong AND higbee had not gotten hurt
Josh allen was seen as mahomes rival 2 years ago. He's then he replaced by burrow and u can argue hurts lamar etc are above him. I'd say Allen is under immense pressure this year
@@Kidkinsey Allen’s averaged over 4.4k passing yards, 650 rushing yards, 36 pass td’s and 7 rushing tds since 2020. The Bills went from hopeless to a perennial super bowl contender since his breakout 2020 season with 2 13 win seasons and 4 playoff victories. His biggest roadblock up until last January was Mahomes and the Chiefs, the entire leagues biggest roadblock. His turnovers are an issue but looking at the whole body of work Burrows the only QB who you can argue as #2 and if the Bills d can protect the length of the field with 13 seconds left in the afc divisional at KC he’s probably the consensus #2.
I think Stafford could've been a top tier QB had he not been loyal to the lions. I honestly believe that the lions held him back, and ruined his career. If he was on a better team during his younger years, I think he could've been a consistent playoff making QB. Same with the sexiest man alive, Jimmy (garoppalo) Jesus. If Bill Belichick got to keep, and play him like wanted to, I think he would've also been a consistent playoff QB. If he stays healthy, otherwise it doesn't really matter how good you are, or who you play for.
The Lions have ruined so many careers. I wonder how many players and coaches would have had great careers if they'd started anywhere else. I think Rod Marinelli and Joey Harrington both would have been good almost anywhere else.
I am so glad to hear you put Burrow in the top 3 QBs. He's not on the god tier lke Mahomes, and may never be, but damn am I glad to have him as a Bengals fan. For reference how much of a turnaround Burrow has made for the Bengals won 5 playoff games from 1968 through 2020. Joe Burrow has won 5 playoff games the last 2 years with the Bengals.
It's no knock on him or some of these other guys if he doesn't bring a Lombardi home, considering the Bengals are one of many cursed franchises that is yet to win one. See also: Cardinals, Falcons, Bills, Lions, Chargers, Vikings, Titans (I'm not counting the four franchises established since 1990, and allowing the Ravens to be the rightful continuation of the Browns)
@@dfp_01 The number of guys who can carry a team solely by their play at the QB position is pretty small. Super Bowl championships are won by the whole team together, and I think people give QBs too much credit. A guy like Mahomes who can carry a team with a bad defense to multiple championships is a complete outlier. Every other guy who has multiple titles had great defensive/special teams support to get to that level.
Barry, there is a lot more than championships between Allen and Mahomes... Allen: 77 games played, 18397 passing yards, 138 TDs, 60 INTs Mahomes: 80 games played, 24241 passing yards, 192 TDs, 49 INTs
@@sir_barnacle817 there’s levels to this stuff. In 3 more games, that’s like 20 more games worth of stats. I cannot put Allen on a level close to Mahomes whatsoever.
@@DOMCOM40 Josh had, and still has, a bottom 16 oline, besides Stefon and arguably Dawson Knox, he had, and again, still has no one. Patrick, has the best head coach, the best te, a top 5 wr up to last year, and a top 10 oline the past few seasons. Now, not saying Josh is better, he isn’t, but his supporting cast around him, doesn’t help the fact.
It's weird how Josh Allen has a lower rating than Lamar Jackson when neither has a Super Bowl, amazing regular season numbers but Lamar has an MVP Also just giving every Rookie/Early Career NFL QB a 10/10 is dumb
They have a lot to prove. That they can cut it in the nfl. Allens total tds the last few years smash lamar Jackson's total his mvp season. Lamar has 1 playoff win despite his defense allowing several points less per game than allens while allen has produced more per game in the playoffs even in his losses.
I don't think Goff really has much to prove. At this point, we know what he is. It's just a question of, is he The Guy for the Lions, or is Hooker our future? I think expecting him to win MVP is an impossible task, but he did put up a consistently good season last year. Can he do it again? I'd put his rating at a 5.5/10. He doesn't need to prove his talent, we already know that he's a solid QB. He just needs to prove that he can lead a franchise.
I don't think Goff is our guy but he is 100 percent our best option right now since he's constant (usually) and doesnt turn the ball over and fuck Hendon hooker I'd rather deal with watching Tim Boyle or daunte Culpepper play again
It even a bears fan but what you said about fields made me stop the video it’s obvious you haven’t watched him play more than 2 times and just boxscore assume
I'm way too spoiled as a Packers fan cause honestly it's nice going into the season with no expectations. I honestly hope they are horrible and get a good pick cause I don't think love is it
If Love is terrible, then Gute is out, possibly LaFleur, and if LaFleur is out then Joe Barry is definitely out, and if that happens then it's gonna be a rebuild which means a lot of these veterans aren't going to stick around like Bakhtiari, which will make the rebuild a complete house clean which will take years, and the team will not be likely to be good for years. So in other words, if Love sucks, the entire team falls apart. I'm at least excited to see it all play out.
I think Anthony Richardson is DK Metcalf playing the QB position... I will be shocked if he progresses well this season as a passer but with Johnathan Taylor in the backfield, he will probably rush for 1000 yards as a rookie
@@TheAndyk123 that doesnt mean shit, barry prides himself on eye test and providing proper context to stats and games, except for guys like Fields, who is damn near the same QB as the one on his team
Barry: “first year starters get leeway”. Also Barry:”fields fucking sucked his rookie year”. Biased packers fan😞 there isn’t a single QB in the league that could’ve taken that bears team to more than 6 wins and yet fields gets destroyed for having one of the worst supporting casts in recent nfl history
There she goes as a Justin fields hater. I'm sure u had 10 put of 10 to prove it to your x wife. She was wrong at day 1 and she still feels this way how can u prove anything with 4 inches 😂
Allen is over rated to hell almost got beat by a third string rookie QB in the playoffs. 😂 Bills fans in perpetual hell. 😂 so good, yet so far from the promise land.
As a rational Cowboys fan I don't have high hopes for us in the playoffs. I think we're going to finish second in our division to the damn Eagles and we're going to have a second round exit unless Dak doesn't shit all over himself again. In my opinion Dak has a lot to prove since last season he almost led the season in interceptions even though he missed 5 games. But hey, i'm open to be proven wrong so we'll see.
Look at burrows total playoff numbers , total QBR. And his performance in the 2 playoff loses. Most notably the 0 for last 5 drives getting points in the Super Bowl .
I think you underestimated contracts in these ratings. Guys fresh off huge contracts like Jackson, Allen and yes, even Danny Derps as well as Burrow and Herbert in the "Megadeals are inevitable" category should have lower ratings. Guys on teams who have spent an uncomfortable amount of time scouring 2024 Draft QB scouting reports (looking at you Vikings/Bucs/Commies/Falcons) deserve the 9-10 ratings
I think Carr will be a winner in New Orleans, I believe I saw a stat that said he never had a top 25 defense and like 8 different head coaches plus a franchise move. Saints defense is much better and he has all the offensive weapons he needs. Up to him to prove it.
Saying Lamar is an 8/10 due to lack of post season success but Allen is 5.5/10 when he also has no post season success and has less regular season accolades than Lamar is definitely an interesting choice…
I’m having a hard time understanding if some of these takes are you being serious or sarcastic. Like this narrative that Bryce Young won’t pan out when he’s a top 4 QB prospect since 2012. Show me where the red flags are on his film. Where does his height hinder his play? He played in the SEC, and most of those guys will be playing in the NFL pretty soon
I don't think there's an argument for Josh Allen being better than burrow. I think there's a bigger gap between burrow and Allen than burrow and mahomes
I wonder if that has anything to do with Fields almost beating Jalen Hurts last year. If the Bears had a defense, the narrative about Justin Fields would be flipped
Aaron Rodgers has to prove that he doesn't wear tinfoil on his head and cough covid into his teammate's open mouths while spouting racist conspiracy theories and donating to Trump.
The problem with Kirk Cousins is nobody will know what would have happened if Minnesota’s defense wasn’t ass. Even a middling defense would have shut down the Giants.
Exactly they had 11?? Walk off wins I think last season, they had to score everytime.. that fumble by josh allen though, after the defense stops vikings at goaline
@@aceassn716that was the only time the defense really came up clitch. I mean the defense allowed what? 24 points to the colts in the first half? Yes the vikings offense struggled to start but the colts defense is actually decent. Their offense wasn't. Idk why our defense was able to hold them to only 3 points in the 2nd half of that game but you know, couldn't make a stop on daniel jones to save their lives!
I wouldn't say Baker Mayfield hasn't accomplished anything. His rookie season was one of the best of all time statistically, and he's responsible for the only playoff win in the franchise history of the actual Cleveland Browns (not the decorated ones with championships and Hall of Famers that moved to Baltimore in the '90s). -He's also the youngest QB in NFL history to have a losing record over multiple starts with at least three different teams- Ignore that crossed-out part, I don't know if it's true or not. Definitely could be though.
20:51 if Tennessee had a better QB they would have definitely won a ring in 2020 or 2021 their defense was stacked and Henry was crushing the whole league.
Good video Barry. I gotta say though, attributing Tua’s success to Mike Mcdaniel’s scheme is not accurate. If true, it should’ve made Teddy look like a damn good QB, but it didn’t. Its not a QB friendly scheme with the amount of downfield passes.
Interesting topic, but pretty much everything you said boils down to "if his team doesn't have playoff wins/ Super Bowl rings, then he's probably not that good".
same, he was supposed to be a #1 pick in his class and the only reasons he wasn’t were a lack of offensive support, some baker mayfield comparisons and the 2022 draft being WEIRD for quarterbacks. sure there have been #1 picks who were busts, but if they work out they’re worth it all and more
It’s incredible that no one gives Tua the same criticism as other QBs in the Shanahan system considering McDaniel runs that but with even more speed. Tua is a less handsome Jimmy G. End of story.
People need to stop using "Ohio State" as an excuse. Like there's QB factory schools other than Alabama. Who was the last good TT QB before Mahomes, Mississippi before Dak, LSU before Burrow?
As a Washington Fan: yeah dude i dont know what sam howell can do. but he beat the cowboys. fuck the cowboys. (i think we can both agree on that, barry). i'm hoping he's a good qb who can bring us a playoff win. will i be shocked if he's not? no. once the demon snyder is dead and buried i will be optimistic about this team
He did a miss an easy TD pass though It would have been 31-0 Instead they take 3, Jaguars come back to life, Herbert also failed to lead his team to a field goal after that.. game over 31-30
how is allens prove it rating only 5.5 with no rings, no mvps? he just gets the top three crown just throwing redzone turnovers? i don't understand it.
as a bears fan, i think your right. fields is gonna suck. it’s so annoying seeing other fans who haven’t watched a full game of his saying he’s gonna be like Jalen Hurts
