@Not LeshanaJr he played against every team ever since the beginning of time. He played against Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, Bob Pettit and he scored triple doubles on all of them.
Ikr bro said every time he was expected to win like both time without KD they were literally doubted 😂 his first chip was literally being an underdog and 2022 was them not even expected to make a playoff run much less beat Boston 😂 man gonna have to unsubscribe for this biasness ngl
@@eternal9541 2022 was up in the air, but I do think they were favored because of their experience. 2015 I wouldnt say he was the underdog, because the Cavs werent completely healthy going into the series and then lost Kyrie in game 1.
@@scooperthehooper They weren’t at all it was only when they actually got to the finals even then they said it was a fluke it’s till after then mfer like oh yea they should have won. Outside of old golden state fans mfer weren’t supporting them like that
I have no doubt steph's 2017 and 2018 rings will be right at the top. When you consider he carried both an actual spider and velociraptor to a chip its undeniable
Wilt is like the NBA version of Peyton Manning, both were great in the regular season and broke records, both have 2 rings and both are known for "choking" in the postseason. Edit: I should've put air quotes around choking as I don't believe neither players were chokers as you need to take a deep look instead of just looking at their numbers at face value *cough* Barry *cough*
@@queenjones1468 exactly Peyton had to face Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers Drew Brees. The Chiefs are always a pretty good team. Baltimore and those defenses. The legion of boom. None of those would even compare to the fifth grade teachers wilt was facing
Gotta love the consistency here. Rick Barry gets the nod for the warriors is 1975 because KDs runs doesnt count BeCauSE ITs EXpECted. Yet give the nod to LBJ for Miami even though THEY were expected to win. 10/10 Bless the troops.
I love Barry saying none of Steph or KD’s stats in any playoff runs count because of their super team and they were supposed to win them all anyways yet for Lebron on the heat it’s just so obvious he’s great and had great stats even though they were also a super team who were supposed to win. Keep doing you Barry, great vid
@@forman208 just because one superstar doesn’t play good doesn’t mean it’s not a superteam lmao. Lebron shit the bed in 2011 but they still had a superteam
@@eberdamilcar2130 Wade & Bosh averaged 28 ppg in the 2013 playoffs combined, equivalent to what Jamal Murray is averaging right now. Let's keep pretending this was some super team on the level of the KD Warriors lol.
yall gotta give a new word for warriors. if heat is a superteam warriros should be a megasuperteam or some other word. its not even in the same releam. heat was still beatable and just a well built team not overpowered.@@eberdamilcar2130
2006 Elton Brand: 25 10 and 4 on 59% ts 2021 Paul George: 27 10 and 5 on 58% ts Led the clippers to their first wcf and is one of four players to score 20+ points in 19+ playoff games.
@@forman208 Nah PG's run was better. He went through way harder teams including one of the most historically efficient offenses in NBA history (Utah) and did it all without Kawhi Leonard.
@@anuragj8025 it was better they beat a team that won 73 games and lebron had two back to back 40pt games and a triple double game seven on the road with maybe the loudest crowd in the warriors in the NBA and the Cavs wasn't expected to win as well you clown
6:28 This is CRIMINAL. We get it, in 2015 K love and Kyrie were injured, in 2017 & 2018, we won like we were expected because we had KD, but no Curry in 2022? Was everyone really expecting the warriors to win in 2022, or was it because you knew how great of a player Steph is? I get that a lot of curry fans are annoying and they try to put him over Lebron when they shouldn’t be, but Steph’s run in the 2022 playoffs and in the 2022 finals was one of the best runs I’ve had the pleasure of watching. I get that you’re a Lebron fan, but you don’t have to tear Curry down to appreciate Lebron’s greatness. Curry has been key in setting the precedent for basketball in the modern era, and part of the narrative in 2022 was that Steph would never win another title or a finals mvp, and HE DID. He averaged 31, 5, & 6, and 2 steals… LITERALLY his 2015-2016 regular season stats, but in the 2022 FINALS with NO INJURIES, NO KD, and a lot of people thought the warriors were done. GAME 4 2022 FINALS (down 2-1): 43, 4, & 10, 54 FG%, 50 3P% GAME 6 2022 FINALS (up 3-2): 34, 7, & 7, 2 STLS, 57 FG%, 55 3P% FINALS MVP Love your vids, but cmon Barry, Love him or hate him, you gotta give Steph his flowers.

Rick Barry is cool but to say 2022 warriors were expected to win 😭 99% of the media were pushing the narrative the warriors were done and this man curry solo squaded every team
I hate this cringe nigga and agree with most of what you said but it was for sure a team effort last year. I don't like the carrying narrative for almost anybody. Wiggins, Draymond,Klay, Payton, etc were all good
@@epic7608No they weren’t? Especially in the finals against the number one best defense in the league they were expected to lost. Then steph had a top 5 finals performance in the past 10 years.
As a lifelong warriors fan and Bay area native, the fact that you chose that Rick Barry playoff run over any of the Steph era shows you did your research. Cause we all adore Steph and i think he's unquestionably the greatest warrior ever, and his run in 2022 was my FAVORITE season ever as a fan of basketball, rick put up video game numbers in that run. I mean, that Washington team was pretty much as big of a favorite as you could possibly be, and not only did the warriors win, they swept the number one seed in the East! I mean, the second best player on that warriors team was A ROOKIE! A fantastic rookie in Jamal Wilkes who would become a great in his own right, but he was a rookie in 75 and Rick Barry basically played point guard as a 6'7" small forward. I'd still probably put 2022 Steph up there just cause to me, he somehow won a championship against the Boston Celtics with Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, and half a Klay Thompson.
Elton Brand was pretty damn good in 2006 but if you were seriously considering one of the Kawhi runs I think Paul George in 2021 should've gotten the nod for us. He was more of the same player against Dallas as he was in the regular season that year but he went absolutely nuclear against Utah and Phoenix, both of his Game 5 performances against them were legendary and should be recognized as such given the circumstances
I know the run was cut short but kawhi was playing unbelievable in the 2021 playoffs before he tore his acl. Even with it being cut short, he’d already made it as far as any other clipper legend had in history
Against such stacked competition as the g league pacers, the injured trash bros, and a Celtics team so battered by injuries 19 year rookie Tatum was their best player yet lebron needed seven games to beat rookie tatum
warriors in 2022 were given a 13% chance to win the finals and they were only picked by one or two analysts out of like 40 to start the playoffs not only that but steph averaged 31 in the finals
The gus williams shoutout was pretty cool. Nobody really knows much about the 79 sonics team that won it all and most people credit Dennis Johnson who won finals MVP. Gus Williams was definitely their guy for that run tho.
Part of the reason why the Sonic run is forgotten is because their team moved, and part of it is because the 70’s are forgotten on the whole. Side note on Gus Williams: He’s one of 122 players to finish top five in an MVP vote at least once, doing so as the best player on a 52 win Sonics team in 1982.
That 1979 Sonics team was great, and I wish they got way more props today. Besides Dennis and Gus, they also had Jack Sikma, Paul Silas and Fred Brown. All underrated players. Sikma has always been a favorite of mine in particular, though I was never around to see him play. For sure the most underrated team ever, aside from the 2004 Pistons.
@@romanramirez7847The 04 Pistons may be a tad underrated, but I generally see them referred to as a great defensive team. I almost never see the 79 Sonics brought up, so to me that’s a tad more underrated.
They were supposed to win the only reason they dropped in seedings was because of injuries also the warriors had the best record in the NBA after 25 games like the nuggets did this year
He actually thinks Steph is a top ten player or so, but he finds Steph’s fans about as annoying as anyone, and he thinks some of their tendencies have their issues.
2022 wasn’t that good Boston was not the best team in the east they were lucky jimmy butler got hurt in game 3 which affected him for game 4 and 5 and that the refs took away max strus 3 pointer, and the warriors never had to face anybody good the west was insanely weak last year
One that I think deserves mention: Allen Iverson’s 55 point game on 74.6% true shooters vs Charlotte in the 2003 playoffs. Only three other players have a playoff game with as many points, and as high a true shooting percentage, and all came in games that were much higher scoring overall.
"Some choices were easier than others" Dirk I suppose this answers my Overrated, Underrated, or Properly Rated request though :) thanks for that btw Also, to your point, in 2006, the Heat absolutely had a super team with their Big Three of D-Wade, Shaq, and the refs
The mavs couldn’t guard d wade for shit they just fouled every single time. If you look at the stat sheet it looks bad but d wade got fouled every single time at the rim
If you need video ideas. Best team from every franchise. Fate of the universe on the line. The martians have the death beam pointed at earth I WANT THE KD WARRIORS
Thank you Barry for the perfectly timed video keeping my mind off of work and my wife's boyfriend currently at my home having pre-marital sex, you are truly a class act, Barry.

That was the most Barry has ever talked about the Wizards! I’m on top of da world. Well, I guess it was actually the bullets he was talking about, idk still counts
Rick Barrys is by far better because as an underdog he fucking swept the washington bullets, which were way better at the time he honestly did it mostly himself
Wow, the comments for this are a war zone. I personally still think that Steph had the best Warriors playoffs run in 2022, especially considering his finals, but I am happy to see Barry getting shine when his is frequently forgotten
