interesting, I'd be curious about your expenses as well. For things like editing software, equipment upgrades, paid ads, etc. I'd also be curious about your estimation of hours you work to get an hourly rate.

In August I estimated ~6 hrs a day but in September it would be lower because I reduced my content due to Lilly being born. I don't really know how many hours I spent in September so I didn't want to give an estimate this time. Thanks very much for explaining it all. Until I saw your first video I had no idea how things work. I'd love to see a similar breakdown from RU-vidrs who have hundreds of thousands of subscribers and tens of thousands of daily likes. There's one in particular in that category, whom I enjoy watching, who says it's all free, he doesn't ask us for any money, as though he is just doing it from the kindness of his heart. ☺️ I have thought for ages, yeah, but he's not saying he's making money without our active contributions. Since I've seen your income I've realised that he's making a fortune!! I don't begrudge that at all, but come on, how daft do you think we are?? I'll still keep watching. ☺️. Btw, he's nothing to do with word games. Thanks again, Rangst, I enjoy your videos daily.

You can get a decent estimate of how much they're making in ad revenue for a video by taking total views / 200. So 1M views is about $5000. This is a rough estimate but also likely an underestimate. It's harder to estimate money made from sponsors, memberships, and direct support.

@@Rangsk Thanks for that. I've just checked, and today so far, on RU-vid alone (6 videos I think), he's had 46k views and has over 350k subscribers. Hardly on the breadline I should think. 😂
