It was an amazing deal indeed. I would call around a bit if you’re willing to go out of state. Another tactic is going to the dealership already approved with check in hand. Most times they will budge after that 🔥🙏🏾
$31 under MSRP... my god... you are and will probably be the only person in the world to get the FL5 at or bellow MSRP. around my neck of the woods, $10k minimum, most dealers charging 15k. Championship white, 20k. and they can't keep them in stock so... anyway, congrats man! I hope to get one... maybe next year. hopefully by then some of the hype dies down and some new car of the month comes up for sale and I could actually step into one of these at a decent markup!

Getting the new type R below MSRP is definitely a good deal on top of getting 69k for a ZL1 1le that’s been in a car accident is another hell of a deal. Good job.
I have a 2017 Civic Ex-T CVT looking to get this or whatever is up in the Type R series sooner. Been watching vids and your vids on it seems to be a excellent car. (Still with Honda)
Good deal man! All the Honda dealers within a 25 mile radius near me in PA are actually not allowed to sell new cars over MSRP. There are people getting Type R's at exactly MSRP, but they only have 1 coming in every 30-60 days.
I live in the tri state area and called a few PA dealers a few months ago, but they were all asking 10k+ over. Is this a new rule that they recently implemented?
@@KFCganni I’m in Central PA. I’ve tried 4 dealerships since October 2022 trying to get a Sport Touring and all of them were selling them with no markup.

Another option is a new car replacement policy. I believe mine is $26 every 6 months. Will cover the cost of a current model year at the moment of loss and will work based on quotes. My friend had a total loss highlander he paid 33k for and got 45k because the prices had gone up 3 years later

10k over msrp isn’t a good deal dude. That’s 55k+. I bought my 2015 supercharged Z06 with 650HP for low 60s with 21k miles and it’ll crush this thing in every aspect imaginable. Not even close to worth nearly the same amount of money. It’s barely worth 45k but people are stupid. Good job getting a good deal.

It was garaged and in mint condition!! I ended up making money on my fk8 when I traded it! I traded it and bought a Crystal Black Pearl FL5! I was fortunate to get mine at msrp! I have built a great relationship with my Honda dealership and they took great care of me! I bought mine in January and have loved it so much!! Your Championship White looks amazing! I wanted Championship White or Sonic Gray Pearl but I had no other choice because that is the color they had allocated! Now that I have had it for a while I like my Crystal Black Pearl more than I thought I would!! I think you and I got the two lowest prices in the country! I feel fortunate! That Crystal black FL5 is AMAZING. I would have went with that color or red if I were able to choose. I absolutely LOVE the FL5 ‼️ I have received a lot of criticism because I trade my ZL1 1LE for it, BUT I have no regrets . I will keep the content rolling . No not really brother. Wasn't really an option. I'm sticking to local! Got other Hondas from this specific dealership i ordered from . I dont think im going to get as good as deal as yourself but I hope they can work with me a little . I do agree 10gs on mark up is too much though but like you said in the video . These times are weird .
They should definitely work with you , seeing that you have been bringing them business for years. I would use that as leverage in the fact that you will be giving them continued business. I hope it somehow comes in earlier and you get to enjoy the FL5. What A Machine 🔥🔥🙏🏾‼️

The funny thing is you have to get the chance to even pay over MSRP if you can find one. I've known about this car for almost a year, and finally saw one in person about 4 days ago. The build quality was superb though. I'm very impressed. Currently, I'm sitting in 23' GRC though so I'm going to just be happy with that for a while😁
@@100GANGNATE It was Championship White like yours. They had a MSRP of $44,000, and a second sticker of $60K they said they can discuss it though. Fortunately for me I have a GR Corolla, but I like Civic Type R too. Do you know how many will be produced for the 23’ or 24 year? The GR Corolla only had 6,500 units total.

I think you should definitely try to drive the type R if you get the chance . The 315 HP will catch you by surprise especially when the turbo kicks in 🔥🔥🔥
People who justify markups are the real problem. The more idiots pay the markup, the more the dealers will push the price. The GR Corolla is going through the same and in some places people boycott their pricing and now days can be get for 5k above MSRP or less. Don't enable them.
I agree. We as consumers have to hold our ground. Also going into the dealer with check in hand puts a lot of pressure on them as well. I think after June/July markups will start falling like flies

I went to the dealer today in Florida. Same car as yours and color for 5k markup. I took the numbers back home and going to start negotiating to get the monthly payment down, better interest rate and more for my trade in.

I agree but in a market where people are running to pay over msrp on a vehicle that is extremely limited paying the least amount over is almost the only option. The Type R has a history of being mark up even before Covid with the FK8s. Best way to defeat markup is to go with check in hand at msrp
