You have been a godsend, thank you for providing all of this information. I am curious to know about the financials of this school for I am thinking about attending at the top of the year next year. I have used aid and loans before so I am trying to see how much out of pocket will it be for myself. In the end keep up the awesome work!!

I honestly don’t know how chamberlain can charge $4500 for psychology and sociology classes. My tuition for ADN is $3700 for the entire program. I love that you girlies are blessed enough to complete the program and get your BSN, but chamberlain is robbery.
@theluckienurse
@theluckienurse Год назад
It is insanely expensive lol but you have to keep in mind that it is a private school. So unlike community colleges and state schools, it does not get any funding from the government. They rely solely on the tuition of students and private donors for funding. So when you compare Chamberlain to other private universities, it’s standard unfortunately.
@highvalue1195

Also it’s good for people like me who don’t have time to apply to a bunch of programs and pray I get in. Even if I have a good grades and a high hesi score it’s not guaranteed. My academic advisor at community college said I have a high chance of getting into our program but I would have to take one more semester at community college. In 2.5 years I would have an associates w less debt or I could be a full BSN in 2.5 years or less. I’m 27 about to be 28. I’ve been a stripper the past years and waisted time besides making enough to pay for chamberlain out of pocket. This is the right choice for my mental and physical health’s. Everyone is different.
@theluckienurse
@theluckienurse Год назад
@@highvalue1195 honestly this was a big part of the reason that I chose chamberlain as well. Becoming a nurse is just one of the many dreams that I have lol I want to start a family, invest in real estate, travel some more… I didn’t want to go through the process and time of applying to multiple schools with no guarantee of getting in… I started nursing school at 27 and I will be 30 when I graduate. For me, the time saved was well worth the money!!!

I as well pay out-of-pocket. It's well worth it at Chamberlain. If you utilize your resources you will get through. Currently in week 5 with NR 103 and A&P with As. However, NR 103 would be an A+ without the mistakes in EDAPTS and you only get a point back. Otherwise I love Chamberlain. Congrats on your future endeavors

Im debating between doing RT school which will only cost me 17k or doing nursing at chamberlain which will cost like 95k. I do have a bachelors already and I also work from home but at this point I don’t know which route to take, one pays well even though there’s not alot of upper career mobility, and the other pays really well from the get-go with a lot of opportunities but cost so much (Nursing).
@theluckienurse
@theluckienurse Год назад
To be honest, I don’t know much about RT school or radiology techs in general. I do know that nursing is very versatile and flexible… The pay is really good, but if you get tired of one specialty you can always move to another. If you get tired of the bedside you can always move to do something administratively or even work from home. You can travel, you can work 6 days a week or you can work 2 days and still make a livable wage. The possibilities with a nursing degree are endless. But of course, I am biased toward nursing haha there are definitely more affordable options for nursing school that are a fraction of the cost of chamberlain’s tuition. I would look at other schools if chamberlain’s tuition is making you hesitant to go for a nursing degree, and you should maybe do more research on the job opportunities and career path of an RT to make a definitive decision.
@sanawalker1023

@theluckienurse
@theluckienurse 10 месяцев назад
No, I don't get the Pell grant. I've heard of it but I didn't know what it was until reading your comment and looking it up haha It seems like to qualify, you need to display a certain level of financial need and you can't already have a Bachelor's or graduate degree. I'm married and my husband and I both work full time, so I'm not sure if I would qualify financially. Even if I did, I already have a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree so I wouldn't qualify because of that anyway. It seems like a really good grant though!

Hey! I recently applied to a couple of scholarships and I believe that I got approved for one, but it has not been distributed to my account yet. I applied through Chamberlain‘s website. If you are a student, sometimes they will post different scholarship opportunities that students can apply for. Aside from that, in the past I have always just googled scholarships and then read the descriptions of each scholarship in applied to those applicable to me!

@@kija26 Hey! For the evening and weekend programs, your clinicals will be either Saturday or Sunday and it is subject to change each session (with each class). You have the option to pick from a select few clinical sites/ days… but it is based on availability and first come first serve. I personally prefer Saturday clinicals, so I always am intentional about signing up for them. I purposely have never had a Sunday clinical, and I have classmates who are the opposite of me and who have purposely never had Saturday clinicals!

Hey! Thank you for watching my videos! I actually am not on any scholarships for my nursing degree. I was on a scholarship for my masters degree through my employer at the time. Is this program the same as a 1yr accelerated BSN program? I’m debating between 100% online accelerated or chamberlain. Since you already have a bachelor’s is there a reason you chose chamberlain instead of that? Also did you have previous experience as a tech or anything other patient care job? :)

** any other.
@theluckienurse
@theluckienurse 2 месяца назад
Hey! This program is different than the 1 year accelerated BSN program. Some campuses for Chamberlain do have an online only program - where your classes are online but you go in person to clinicals and labs. For my program, I want to campus for all of my classes and it was the 3 year program. I really chose Chamberlain because at the time it was the only program near me that had an evening option and I couldn’t afford to quit my fulltime day job. It was a true blessing that I found this program. And I did not have any patient care experience before school. I volunteered in medsurg and NICU as a teenager, and I did have healthcare management experience at a healthcare facility but it was strictly administration… no direct patient care experience before school 😊

Hey are you referring to the HESI? Or the proficiency exams to test out or subjects? Also congratulations and good luck in nursing school! My biggest advice to students who work full time is to do your best to stay on top of you work and work ahead! You will get you syllabi for the course before it starts, and you will know when each assignment is due. If you have a paper due in week 7 of the class, start working on it in week 2. If you have a lot of Edapt assignments to do, try to knock them out early so that you can focus on studying for exams!

It is very expensive, but there are grants, private loans, scholarships… the one thing about nursing is that even if you do take out loans, once you are a nurse you will ALWAYS have a job and a way to actually pay off your loan. Unlike many other degrees! 😊
