Are you sure about that? For as long as I can remember, I was only allowed to have $2000 in the bank in order to benefit from Social Security. How can anyone afford to live on that little money?
$2000 I believe is the limit that can be in bank account, I know someone who was on disability, they hardly used their disability money and their account kept increasing, the social security asked why there was so much money in the bank account, why they weren’t using their disability money. They responded, will i live with my son, he said not to worry about buying food, paying him rent, don’t worry about pitching in for bills and just use disability money for personal expenses. The mother who was living with her son, didn’t lose her disability but ended up getting less money, now only gets $400ish…. Disability money is for food, rent, bills, personal expenses etc,if social security see that you are not using your money, then why should they give you that money if not going to be used.
see how trash our country of usa is , why do this to someone who for whateva reason could not work 40 quarters to get ssdi , the person cant save 3000 incase of anything or to buy a house or trailer i hate this country.
