Thanks for this great perspective! The reason I started doing RU-vid videos was that it seemed so many were quitting… I was determined to spend just a little and still enjoy the game. Possibly the glory days of E and P but maybe not... its 2024 and we're lots of us still playing I think personally and having played many other similar games this is still a unique game in that the balance is better than most others even with the power creep and OP heroes there are mostly viable counters and FTP and CTP can still be pretty competitive if they are smart and not afraid to grind for what many others will just buy. I find that 180 is more than enough. I never go above 100 unless i am farming and once i feed away the 1 and 2* it goes back under 100. But then again, i dont typically keep heroes unless i am sure im going to use them in the future. I have 30 unleveled heroes in 3, 4 and 5* that i will eventually get to but the rest i have fed and have no regrets at all!
Great video and I agree the number one thing Is getting your base built up with a second builder. It's absolutely essential and that was proven to me when I tried their other puzzle combat game from scratch, first thing in my head was the base will never be built with one builder. :P These days the only thing I will spend on is maybe costumes and the path of Valor.
Downloaded this game on december 2019. Budget been the same ever since . $20 per month. Now in 2024 i got : - 250-ish heroes no dupes. About 40-ish 5* . - yo-yoing between platinum & diamond ranks. - my alliance is chill group. We realized we wont make it top 100 global. We just focused on wars and season maps. - got 4* basic troops all maxed. Working on ninja troops. Still missing a few cyclops & wizard troops. Not chasing 5* troop yet. Even with lb2 , 5* troops & upcoming 6* hero, im still enjoying this game. Pro tip : stop chasing the new heroes.
Thank you for sharing your point of view. I'm free to play and focus on troops. I only spend my gems on troop draws (magic tower and styx). I think this is the most important thing in this game after building a good roster of 3 and 4* heroes. Then you can start maxing out the 5* heroes.
Agreed 1000% troops are so important and also much better odds in summoning and even if you dont get as many of the ones you want feeder troops are better than feeder heroes. Thanks for your comment and for watching 👍👍👍
Great video. Good to see a you tuber not burning through their life savings to make content. I love playing the game and I do spend. But I cap a budget each month and never go above that budget.

Definitely some valid points in this video. I usually limit myself to 20 or so pulls a week. The odds are just way to low to want to summon more than that. I used 12 of my pulls for the week today and ended up with Medea! I probably wont do anymore until next friday since i already got a legendary with so few pulls and im pretty content with her!
To be on a top 20 alliance nowadays you need to spend about $10,000 USD a year at least. You will be spending quite a bit on not just getting new heroes but the mats to max them including emblems and aethers. Top spenders also get the tomes of experience, golden emblems and food crates. That just makes it much much faster to max a new hero, sometimes in minutes instead of a month or 2. A few years ago the game did not have limit breaking or emblems much less double limit breaking so it was much simpler and much much cheaper to be in the top 20. The emblems, aethers, alpha aethers and now the Legendary Troops just increases the gap exponentially between the cheap to play players and the big spenders. It is just crazy. Free to play players now cant touch even cheap to play players, they will never be great. Ever.
Thanks Kenneth tbh that's about what I figured I always reckoned about £1000 per month (sorry I work in those thingies) for top 20 ish and £100 or more for top 100 as i know some who were in top 100 alliances I know more about the budget for that bracket than the very trippy top. @@McNaultyYT At some point I was top 10 for a while and even top 5 just before emblems and then with the first Limit Break I started to slip a bit and now I am top 200 maybe top 100 at times. Every time SG raises the ceiling the cost increases exponentially to be top.
I'm level 91 and I only ever pay for POV, now and then I might buy a decent offer but it's very rare, not done too bad considering I don't spend much :)
Lol thanks JDK but I don't think I said that i don't spend.... just that i don't spend much. I guess its all relative but I rarely go over about £50pm, which includes the POV and POG and is about what I'd spend on other games if I played them 😅... I do do quite a lot of grinding though and try to compete when theres pulls on the line.
I went from f2p, to c2p with vip to spending $200 a month for 6 months and now i am back to f2p, but the boost in hero count helped a lot, 30-40 5* for wars is helpful. I went from 18 to 42 and wars and titans were much improved.

Hi, I don't spent money in this game. Just play to be enough inteligent to use those heroes that I have. I try to maxmize score with that and still I 've got over 6k team - watching other users and try to adopt strategy according to enemy
Short answer: Thousands or even tens of thousands of hard earned dollars, depending on luck. I always laugh at folks talking about pulls in the game. Most folks lie, or at least omit the full truth. It's like that friend that goes to Vegas once a month, tells you all about the times they win in exact amounts, but go dead silent the times they lose or say they only lost "a little," but never say an amount.
Hi Brad 👋 thanks for the comment 😉 I generally agree with your opinion of how folks like to share the good pulls only but on balance and having read many 100s of comments on my channel over the last couple years I think the Community is genuinely more honest than u might think 😅 personally I have spent a total of 10 bucks this month and I might spend 10 more before the months over but overall I am pretty competitive with my guppy like spending 🤣🤣🤣
one small mention, you cant get much from soul exchange if you don't pull in the first place. Considering you need 20 5* for a decent soul exchange swap, pulling '5 here and there' will not give you enough.
A valid point. However if u r completely FTP and u grind hard "which is ofc ur choice but that's what it takes to get it done" permanently running 2tc20s plus earned pulls should net you IMHO enough 5s for 2 big SE's per year. I have seen FTP do at least this much consistently so I'm pretty confident it can be done.
@@McNaultyYT i have ran 2 tc20 since the introduction of soul exchange. At best you can get around 6-7 5* from one soul to another. Which is not enough. Its a very costly endeavour since feeders can become a problem if you are getting them at half the numbers. From what i saw in this video, you did your fair share of 10 pulls in the past, just not so much recently. To be honest, i think its quite impossible to play around top 200 alliances without spending. I've been playing around top 50 until recently, but the game is not worth the nerves. At the top, regardless of what heroes you have, the game is broken. Its 100% dependant of the initial board because of the heroes they released. The state of the game is very bad from a balance point of view. I find it much more fun in mid table alliances.
Yep they are basically auto farm so a couple free mats is handy but yeah agreed there are times where it feels like there's way more to do than is necessary. Still I'm not gonna pass up some free mats 😅
New players will be more compelled to spend than anyone. As you play more and your account becomes more fleshed out you can compete in tournaments and clear pve content a lot easier. New players just have to be patient and allow their accounts to grow to that point... I'm one of those new players 😂😂
The lucky draws to come, rarely, but they do. One of my "rules" is no draw unless I really want Hero Of the Month. Eventually your pulls build up. Slow process but hey, where are we going:) Best tip I ever read was "don't chase one hero".
I noticed you have Knuckles LB1ed. I have him at level 60+ and he hasn't really been doing the best. I'm considering just stopping the leveling and feeding him away Where do you use yours?
Hi MegaHollystar please dont feed him away 😥 Knuckles is great! Best use is against ailment dealers. Mindless attack is a perfect use case and he is a superstar in rush. Aso I have found a little trick out with him... his reflect skill stacks with Kitty or Goldie it doesn't overwrite them so if you have them both on an attack team you can get the reflect to last indefinitely just fire one then the other as the effects on its last turn and BOOM! Now u have a 7 turn perpetual reflect team 😉 lastly don't forget he reflects stacks so he can be good against the magic family, Skadi and any heroes that give negative stacks.
Let's say if someone specifically wanted Hornfel which is the newest Covenant Summon right now, how much money would they spend on it to get that pull? What are the odds and the maths to it?
Hi Tidusuwu. Thanks for your comment. So 1stly there is never any guarantee that the odds will work in your favour but statistically the odds for getting a legendary featured hero are at 1.6% this means you should get 1.6 legendary featured heroes per 100 summons or a better way to look at it is 16 per 1000 pulls. These odds are spread between 6 featured heroes so it's about a 0.3% chance that you're going to get Hornfell. So again and this is only statistically speaking you would have to summon about 330 times to get him. Important thing to remember though is no matter how many times you pull the chance is still 1.6% it's like flipping a coin no matter how many times you flip it the odds are still 50/50 hope that helps. It actually blows my mind because I had 20 legendary heroes and had 400 gems saved up from watching ads, so I did a pull on the Covenant Summon an hour ago and I got Farrah so she's my 21st legendary hero. I sent you that comment then got Farrah lol. Out of my 21 legendary heroes so far I have Farrah, Fizzcoil, Acidfire, Ginger, Hathor, and Cao Cao, wtf?? Lol. I put her in my defence team just to show it off so if you want to check it out search up the alliance 'Aussie Dragons' and my name is 'milktruck4' and check out my defence team, I honestly can't believe the pulls that I'm getting. Wish I could give my summon luck to other people haha. I always watch your new vids and keep up the good work!

Realistically speaking, probably hundreds of dollars. It is possible to do it in literally 1 pull, or 10 pulls, etc, but dont expect it to happen. I did get Both Gelert and Rochefort in 1 single pull....but its just how odds work.
I personally stopped playing after fully levelling up 3 Telurias my reasons was for war and low and behold Small Giant nerfed him so bad wasn't even usable anymore so goodbye for me .
Sounds like it's time for a comeback... 😅 they haven't nerfed a hero since M&M and Xnolphod (which I'll admit stung because I had both.) Since then it's just been power Power and more Power! The power creep is huuuge but I do njoy it as we're all in the same boat at the end of the day u get it where you fit in.
Thanks for the comment, that depends on what your definition of being competitive is & remember that answer will vary a great deal across the player base so for me it doesn't take more than a POV and POG and a couple of pulls here and there during the month but for a player in a top 10 alliance it will take £1000's per month top 100 £100's per month some will be slightly more or less but its it's all relative.
