When you have the confidence to put yourself out there for a month straight, and have the ability to keep people entertained for the entirety, while not being toxic... You deserve the money. Congrats man.
Ludwigs that rare group mate in class that you’re completely happy to do all the work for because you know they’ll get you an A+ on the presenting part
I remember saying to my dad like this dude made over a million dollars in one moth by playing games and recording himself sleeping and my dad was like "how to do i sign up?"
If Ludwig has a company, he can deduct up to 25% of taxable income, which is approximately $248,244. As he’s donating around 365k, he can deduct the full 248k from his taxes. If Ludwig files as an individual, he can deduct donations up to 100% of his adjusted gross income (AGI) meaning he would be able to deduct the full amount he donates. Estimating taxes are around 40% flat, he would owe $397,191. As he donated $365,350, he could deduct this full amount from what he would owe. Before any more business deductions he would owe only $31,840 in taxes. The way he calculated everything is a bit weird so it’s hard to give an exact net profit but under my calculations either $369,000 as an individual or around $250,000 as a company. This would change later in the year with further business deductions, and other variables, such as if he can deduct the mod’s income as a business expenses, etc. Either way super pogs, and Ludwig deserves this so much, and has been as transparent as possible with us. Hopefully, he can finally be our friend now lulw.
He'd make a lot more if he didn't pay his taxes... I mean I'm not saying old Ludwig is better but he didn't pay his taxes, sooooooo take that as you will
Hey Lud! Just wanted to lyk that your videos have been helping me a lot. Getting through a rough breakup and your vids keep me from going into that mental rabbit hole at 2 in the morning so thanks! Means a lot big dog
4:15 there is a tenuous correlation between amount of sleep in middle-age and dementia in old age. Sleep is good, its like giving your brain janitors time to clean up.
Other streamers: barely sleep because they gotta stream as well as do other stuff Ludwig: if I stream while I’m sleeping, I don’t have to stop sleeping 🤯
Frankly, I think about how many viewers like a D-tier 1-season-then-cancelled CBS show gets, and how much money gets thrown at productions like that, and I don't feel like streamers are overpayed at alllll. The total hours of entertainment accross all viewers would blow literally any weekly television show out of the water, and they make multi-millions.
i know this will go unread but i really appreciate how honest and transparent you are about your motives and income. you have proven that you have a deep understanding of the influencer industry (for lack of a better term) and i firmly believe that you have cemented your place in this emerging and constantly evolving market.
This dude pocketed no more than 88 cents from each sub after streaming for a month of his life and he says he feels bad. Don't let him fool you, homies got a heart of gold.
There was a great adam ruins everything segment that shows the power people get sharing their finances as it leads to more educated decisions and as long as you aren’t an asshole about it it’s better to share than hide all finances
Ludwig, thank you man. You definitely made things different for all platforms and making many different people think about what they can do the online things ^^
Copy pasting this from another comment I made: Lud worded this super poorly, I was very confused as well because it was obviously incorrect seeing as he would have lost money from the subathon if this was the case. In actuality he meant that he had $992k LEFT after Twitch took "their piece of the pie". Very unclear, but that's what he meant.
