Nice recap. Could you go over the rent being split. You mentioned it was $1,800 all inclusive. Did you have you take on 50% of the rent or you didn’t pay for that and only paid for groceries?

For instance, is it advisable for foreign nationals outside Canada to land in a city with relatives they can stay with for a while before getting an apartment or it is possible to land and settle easily say in Toronto or any other city without having relatives or friends. What do you recommend?

There’s no one answer to this question. It all depends on what province you’re going to, what your experience or background is, what your interests are. Tech, data, stem subjects are hot. The specific course is up to you to decide on.
