I personally have no issue with AI, as long as we use it right, and as long as we don't attempt to use it to replace humans... Kind of like that novel writing example you mentioned earlier. I'm having fun with AI music generators at the moment, but I'm still going to practice being a musician, as I've been doing for nearly my entire life

the hype comes from companies using it to help boost their stock price, the actual substance is few (AI devices have been the biggest FLOP this year). i personally view it as a tool that i need to familiarize myself with or go the way of the dinosaur
