"How Much of Myself Is Part of This Character... ?" | Adrian Dunbar on Acting in Line of Duty 

Have just watched Seasons One to a Five in about nine days. I feel spoiled being able to enjoy all of it without waiting for next week. It’s so fabulous to discover this series in April 2020 and become engrossed, riveted and immersed. The British are masters of crime drama.

What a fantastic actor this guy is. Comes across as a really nice fella too.

Clearly an intelligent, articulate man and a fine actor.

He seems like such a genuine fellow. Plus much less of a shock hearing his voice as opposed to DS Arnott's real life voice! I was honestly shocked.

He didn't float up the Lagan in a bubble, y'know. Mother of God.

Has to be one of the best TV characters ever. Brilliant to watch.

Ted Hastings is my favourite character in line of duty. As an engineer I have to project manage various contractors of all different "personalities" as Mr. Dunbar said. Ted really captures how I think managing should be done. I feel first and foremost Ted has his officer's interests at heart and pushes them to perform at their best. I once heard that "it's lucky your boss shouts at you, because it means they care. Once they stop scolding you, it shows they've lost all hope in you", I think Ted encapsulates this quite well. Good stuff Mr. Dunbar!
