The Drift mine is not only producing a lot of Gold ......we now have water too.... maybe we can sell it to Las Vegas. Probably mentioned already, but assuming the water is a steady flow (no flow rate hinted at) and not going to cease,, get a sump pump with a float and pump it up above ground into a holding tank (with a run off) and use the water for sluicing.

I disinfected 200 snail fans today. Hand cleaned with white cotton towels and multiple bottles of disinfectant, odor and cleaner. Nice mountain of dirty towels when I was done. Thankd with sharing with us Jeff 🏴‍☠️

Have a pump with a float switch(bilge pump) at the lowest point and have it pumped up into a barrel or pond which you can then use to run your wash plant #freewater 👍😉👍

Those roots are interesting. I am curious about how old they are, and what species. It's a good thing your water table wasn't under a lot of pressure. One of my friends doing some test drilling punched a hole through a deep caliche bed and brought up a jet of water that went up about 20 feet in the air. There was a really crazy scramble to get that contained. The rancher whose land it was on was quite happy about the new free water supply.

Now if they can pump water from the Columbia river south to California. You should be able south from where you are being the same state. The big question is how deep is your water source? How much pressure is your water producing, and how pure / old is your water source. Once those questions are answered you might have a solution to that problem. If the water is great, old water source an very deep you may have another gold mine. I don’t know if the Columbia river water is a dream or is actual happening. Someone paid for it. If they are truly in need of water, the government might move in and take the water unless you have water rights to your claim. Does water come under minerals or water rights? Those you need to find out before the word spreads to much further. Michael-Idaho

@Nicholas #51 Not precisely. The Army Corps of Engineers was looking for too determine if the location was suitable for the foundation of a dam. It wasn't. There are a lot of old placer mines out there. The area was mined by companies that would hire Chinese miners to do all the hard work - ditches, shallow dams, ground sluices, tailings management. . . The project supervisors were typically American engineers. A lot of the Chinese miners - many were engineers too - packed up and headed to Otago and the New Zealand gold fields around a decade later.

The mountain barriers are why far northern California and Southern Oregon wanted to establish the State of Jefferson back before WW II. That country gives an entirely new meaning to "rugged." Also, the west coast salmon industry would not be at all happy.

Jeff and Lila the water strike now allows ya plenty of resource for a storage pond. As long as it stays ahead of evaporation you will never need to haul water to your claim. Most likely only drinking water would be trucked in to ensure health. Congratulations on the blessings of a water source for mining enhancements. Yaaahooooo!!!!!!

The plastic sump pumps from Harbor Freight are actually pretty good. First metal one I bought from Lowes lasted 2 years... the HF one is still going 10 years later. That sump activates twice a day.

Used to do something similar while panning. I'd dig a half a bucket of dirt, fill it with water rock the bucket back and forth from bottom lip to bottom lip add a few rotations, and all the cons would sink to the bottom. Then I'd scoop out the top layer. You'd only have to pan one pan per half a five gallon bucket of material.

Jeff I took my family out to Durango Colorado and yessssssss Silverton Colorado!!!! And man I’m still wishing we were out there at the small gold mine we toured!!!!! Not to mention the entire southwest area we visited. We left Durango and went to Mesa Verde, then through natural bridges, over the moki dugway? valley of the gods, monument valley, and then finally southern rim of Grand Canyon!!!!! The whole time I thought about your location and how I wished I’d somehow got to look for gold with ya!!! Anyway!!!! Great area you live in!!!!!

Use should use high pressure to pressurize the mine to force the water out. Of course you will need a decompression chamber to exit the mine and avoid the bends. LETS GOOOOOO!

I absolutely love my GoldHog Multi Sluice! It allows me to go out to the American River, pan down to cons, put them into a bucket and clean up at home. It has saved me a tremendous amount of time and the recovery rate is fantastic!! Nice video Jeff..

Maybe a dumb idea, but maybe just pour some concrete in the sump to replicate the lost ciliche layer. I'm sure that's too simple a fix though. We are talking monsoon pressures. But it might slow it down. Very impressive to see the water finally. We always knew it was knocking around down there. Would be awesome to safely tap into it somehow and have on demand water down there. I'm just being imaginative now though hahah. Thanks for the video as always!!! The concrete would never get a chance to harden because of the water constantly rising out of there. It would be like swimming in concrete soup. LOL. It would have to be plugged first and then concreted and to contain pressure the concrete would need to be reinforced in some way, like rebar or steel webbing.

Wish I didn’t need this cane or Walker. But I beat this ol body unmercifully. Working rock to rock in a 46” coal seam is hard on a feller. But I’d do it all over again. Talk about a good days work(out). Wish I coulda done it longer. Who needs a gym, just be an underground miner.

Looks like a gold mine to me , for sure 👍 . In the small space to the side , either a taco stand , or a powder room . That 2nd pan looks like 1.25 oz . Allan's Gold mining has a dewatering system . Yes sorry about my last one my fingers are really big you can use styrofoam about an inch thick and then pour concrete over the styrofoam the same thickness as a sidewalk and it will weigh that styrofoam down and you won't have leaks but you don't want to keep digging there thanks Jeff tell the wife I said hello

You two work so hard. I finally found a Gold Bug two at a great price and I went to get it and on the way home my motor blew up on my car. I won’t be going on any gold hunting trips to try it anytime soon. 😭 Now I feel guilty for buying it. Oh boy.

Hey jeff , If you're still having problems with water drill Rebar into the walls. And floor then then may text the wall and floor with white latex cement primer. That port 2 feet of concrete that should work as a plug. If you need more details give me a shout

Hello Jeff, yah I dont get the whole setup yet, and all the channel stuff yet, but I probably will about when all the au is out. Going back to school for a couple of years, mean time, a fried of mine is getting hot about working his old claim, and wants me to help with the equipment, as there is some gear he needs reproduced ( I build stuff for folks some times, I am cheep on the skills and a hell of a problem solver, and good at reverse engineering stuff and old photographs lol) . Sorry about your friends, I hope your on line crowed has produced some resources to track down that monster, and hope the cops aren't slacking while the trail gets colder, no doughnuts and chips while sitting on the davenport for them until that guy is caught.😡 If I am able to join that project out there during all this crazy stuff that's going on with my friend, I will try and look you up. It's nice to see your lady friend getting into this and getting excited about the workings, I know its hard work, but she looks invested, nice to see a team working together⚡️👍

Great video, I'd say 20.6 grams, and I did some checkin on sawzal blades, the one that I would choose is Milwaukee Diamond grit 9" blade 48-00-1440 sells for $17.97, next choice would be Diablo Diamond and carbide 9"blade sells for $15.47, hope this is a workable idea, chainsaws seem dangerous! one thing i did fairly recently is, i labeled my classifiers by mesh size so it was easy to tell with a glance haha. i haven't found much gold lately, but i have been finding Sapphires! Yogo Montana sapphires.

There are electric basement sump pumps that would be easy to rig into place and can be set up to work automatically when the water gets high enough, worry free 😊
