I’m 62 and trying to train. I’m also a devout Catholic and, being Lent, I’m fasting. I’m waiting until 3 pm to eat each day and usually don’t eat after 9 pm. The lifts are starting to feel heavy but I’m grinding it out. I also cut out all sweets, even my dark chocolate from Aldi that has 3 grams of sugar, and my usual glass of red wine at night. I usually break my fast with an avocado and some bone broth or a salad. My question is, do you think that I should go to 3 sets of 3 during this time? I’m going back up in weight after a shoulder injury and I’m right around halfway where I was before on NLP. I’m 5’9” and 205 pounds, squat at 250, deadlift 300, pressing 130, and bench is an extremely weak 170.
Not “halfway” just going through the weights I lifted before, lol. I had my squat up to 305 before I tweaked my shoulder, and 305 was an all out grind.
once I'm done tracking, is there a list I can follow or a video explaining how to categories each item I eat and get information out of it? Also, do I need to note water intake? And is measuring how big a portion with an estimate ok? I wont be able to measure what I don't cook myself.
Why is everyone eating salad and dumping olive oil on it?! Because it’s delicious!!!! Now I want a salad. With meat on it, and cheese, and fat croutons and tomatoes!
