Thanks for the advice. We are still trying to get the diet and portions fine tuned for our little green cheek. Hes so darn smart and will literally sit and pick his favorite bits out of his meals. No matter how tiny we chop it, he can dig out the red peppers and carrots and throw the greens to the bottom of his cage. ( I have a granddaughter who knows the same trick .... LOL ) Im thinking of leaving the red peppers and carrots out of the chop altogether for awhile to try and encourage him to eat more greens. Or save them as more of a treat later in the day. Wish me luck. Thanks for the helpful videos!!
My lot also get their chop in the morning. Best way to get it gobbled up :) Fern's getting extra at the moment as she's been through the wars with hormones just now!
We have 8 birds. I feed pellets and seeds and spinich. They do not eat fruits or other veggies. In the seed mix is sunflowers nuts and small canary seeds. Are two conures eat the seeds pellets fruits veggies preety much anything. My two questoins i have is Is this diet good for are flock and how can i budget in the best diet for so many birds. I want to give them the best life possibel. Second idk why but are two green cheek baby conures eat a tune like everything in there way!
So the best way to keep an eye on if our birds are eating too much or too little is their weight! As for the diet it could use some more fresh in it! We also aren’t the biggest fans of pellets here (I have videos explaining why) If you’re struggling with the veg and fruit try my partners channel @birdnerdsophie she has an awesome video with 20 tips to get birds to try veggies!
