Hi Daggerwin, thanks for the episode. With regards to straw for the cows, at least on the FS22 base game map (Elm Creek) and no mods enabled except easy dev controls. I bought two base game cow pastures and filled them both with 80 cows (full pasture). Month over month I fed one pasture everything exept straw, the other one fed it everything including straw. Both had TMR, and water and the same amount of the same breed of cow (was full so couldnt reproduce). I bought the cows at the exact same time as full adults (time was paused in game), and I fast forwarded in game time 1 day to get them to 100% productivity before recording any results. The results were consistent over 2 game years, although the actual amount of products slightly differed month to month, the Milk was always 10% more in the pasture with straw for bedding, and the slurry production was always identical in both. The pasture with straw bedding product manure at a rate that was exactly 20% less in quantity to the slurry production. So as an example if we produced 50,000 slurry in 1 day, we also got 40,000 manure in the pasture with the straw bedding. Food and straw consumption was varied with the production of slurry, milk, and manure. If the production went up slightly the consumption did as well, likewise for downwards trends. Side note: Despite one pasture producing manure and an extra 10% milk because of the straw... BOTH pastures listed the cows as 100% happy and productive. I am not sure if this is a bug or an oversight in the game, or simply intended to be this way. But it is misleading as people would rightly say, my cows are at 100% productivity and skip the straw, but clearly they are only at just under 90% as they produce more milk with straw than without. I have not played on Purbek yet, I downloaded it but have not tried it because Diablo IV is kind of addictive for me right now, one day I will try it again on Purbek using the same area of the map this series is on and see what happens.
For those wondering about the lighting on the map, the latest version of Purbeck (1.2) does include OxygenDavid Custom lighting. There is however an in-game setting for custom lighting you might have to enable too.
To be honest at first I wasn’t really to happy that you decided to do another series on Purbeck again but I really really love the approach of slurry and green manure farming that you are doing this is my favorite let’s play at the moment :)
For harvesting the corn chaff I suggest looking into the sugarcane trailers, you can do the contents of them into a trailer being towed by another tractor
Time is money in your competitive multiplayer series. I would recommend sticking to regular fertilizer. Because its alot faster then seeding a cover crop.
My guess is console version will be out September/October at earliest, probably Christmas. Considering it was meant to be released last spring, im not really bothered about court farms anymore. Oxygen used to make the best maps but after his beef with Giants, you can really tell he just doesn't care about giants or FS players anymore, these projects are simply for him in his spare time
I enjoy new holland, but maybe trade it in for a telehandler. Just for the rear weight difference. Also, if you want to make sure a forage harvester doesn't spray into your owned trailer, maybe put a scoop of something into the trailer first.

In my experience a leveler is only good for pushing the chaff away from the front of the bunker. 9/10 thr bunker glitches on this map too when you push enough chaff to the back, it either starts spilling out the back or just vanishes into the abyss. Source: spent 10 hours yesterday prepping, cutting and collecting 1.2 million litres of chaff for silage on this map 😅
Really need to start thinking about putting concrete over that muddy area behind the barn. Also, are we ever going to get a look at that grass field with the big dip in it down near that other mudding crossing? Happy farming.
Also to add to the notes about your graphics on your map, yours looks 10x better than mine on console. The graphics are so much better watching you in 4k vs me playing in 4k. Updating the map has nothing to do with the visuals
i’m about to buy this game for ps5. never played anything like it except snowrunner, if that’s even a comparison. I want to start with absolutely nothing, any advice?
Keep weeds, limes, and stones switched off. Get into mowing and making silage bails as soon as possible. Gets repetitive but it’s very profitable and provides good funding for anything you want to try to get into (animals, root crops, productions, etc.) Also Haut Beyleron is a great map because of the collectibles if you get low on cash
Keep weeds, stones and lime on. Use precision farming and as much as realistic mods you can. That’s what keeps this game interesting. Best advice: if you love this game, buy a pc. 😉
The mud outside the cow barn is a time waster and so unrealistic its annoying. No decent farmer would deliberately bury their expensive equipment in mud or have a nightmare mud pit right at the entrance to a dairy.
Is there literally a reason you have all that straw, people comment every video to put straw in the damn cow shed to make manure, and you still don't do it. Manure is also free fertilizer that you are just completely ignoring. You're so worried about the bga... Like ya bga is great when you have access of everything. But you don't. You literally got cows for free fertilizer. Well ya, digestate is great but you're hardly getting any. So you need to be using slurry and take advantage of manure which is also free just at the cost of straw. But ya you aren't having enough of anything to cover the fields. Change the mindset off the bga, use what you have until there's a stockpile
Guys can anyone help me? I purchased the Premium edition on Xbox Series X and NONE of the addons are working. They download fine but won’t show up in game. GIANTS won’t help me they just keep saying it’s an Xbox issue and of course, Xbox is saying it’s a GIANTS issue. Idk what to do. Even my Platinum edition and the AGI pack have stopped working since purchasing the new premium upgrade. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I’ve tried using the in game modhub to download the DLCs. I’m at a loss, fellas :( I just want to play the stuff I purchased. Has anyone had this issue and if so how’s you get around it? Jeeze, man… so frustrating
