I'm a dude from Albuquerque. I never knew Steve-O personally. I remember a house party on Pennsylvania, at a place my friend Beth was living at. Luciano, Beth, and a couple others partied regularly. One of said parties, Steve-O was there. He was cruising around the place bumming cigarettes. He was doing tricks for cigs. Drinking a beer without touching it. Lighting his face on fire for a second.... Probably one of my most memorable house party moments in the 505. I gave him a cig back in the day. lol

It's not the Government thats doing the testing, the pharmaceutical companies hire Pharmaco to do their testing for them, then the company submits the results to the FDA who then decides if the death rate or side effects are within tolerable ranges before they clear the drug for release to the public.

I used to do testing for drugs that were going through FDA approval. Just to list a few: Covance, Abbott, Spaulding. He’s right, the more involved and lengthy the study, the more you get paid. You live in the testing facility throughout the duration of the testing. The majority of people who do these studies are people from low income areas, and people who have non-violent felonies (such as cannabis). I had no choice but to do it for work for about 5 years due to the class 3 cannabis felony I received when I was prosecuted as an adult at 17.

But couldn't get a security job (family friend managed), but I went to training and everything, passed drug test, but my burglary stopped it all. Keeping my head up. Have 10k to pay before 2028 and its gone off my record but my dad kicked me out about a day after my 17th bday and been homeless the last 3, almost 4 years.

I met Steve O at LAX airport. We were in the tunnel to board the plane and I saw a guy about 15ft in front of me wearing a hat backwards that said “hey I’m Steve O” and sure as shit I walked up all awkward and shit and it was him and I freaked out and he dapped me up. I told him how I just got out of rehab and he helped inspire me to stay clean. Super chill dude. It’s amazing how he turned his life around and is on such a great path now and loves helping people out too. Overall great soul, love that man I got his back if he ever needs a helping hand.

There’s a company in Arizona called Celerion they pay for like 4 days 1 return and 1 call $3000 up until the covid 19 came along. They test everyday they have some that pay $75k !! I’ll only do the lower ones like 1000-3000 a dr told me they do it throughout med school for extra money

12 day times 24 hours (since he couldn't leave) is 288 hours. $2000 divided by 288 hours is roughly 6.94. Steveo gained $6.94 per hour. Not very much. But let's say he slept 8 hours a day. Let's count the hours he worked. 11 nights (because he probably left the last day, not sleeping there) multiplied by 8 is 88 hours sleeping. So he spent 200 hours awake. That's still only ten dollars. In california, minimum wage right now is $12 per hour. Steveo was paid less than minimum wage to get tested like a lab rat.

Yo, I've done pharmaco in Austin Texas back when they were a thing. I did a study for blood thinners... For high blood pressure. Stayed in the facility for two weeks, 2000 buck. Was alright. There's better studies. I smoked cigarettes so was limited to which ones I could do. I met people in there who lived off the money they made from pharmaceutical studies.
