Nice man! I'm upset with myself because i got into a car accident while I was in cdl school. So for the past 4 months I could not get hired on with a mega carrier.....currently I'm driving for a box truck company. I hope within another year maybe I can get hired by a mega carrier. Now that being said and all, I do LOVE these perks this company has. It's local so I'm home early in the afternoon every day, I also get weekends off. Thats really nice.
Been teaming 7 years with my friend who I work with, fantastic person. Yes, when we first started our first week a whole box of Oreos cookies went flying up in the air and all over the dash and floor. And yes I was the cause, he admitted he voted the first time for obama, and I hit the passengers side door top plastic with my hand, hard!!! "I cant believe you voted for obama" Scott is quiet and reserved, in 3 seconds he blew his top grabbed the cookies and threw them hard to the ceiling. Cookies everywhere. My fault. After I picked up the mess I apologized for being a touchole. Its been 7 years we've driven together, from hydrogen to argon. We are outside of work friends and we also drive together. But you are right about the money, we do anywhere from 2,100 to 2,600 per week each of us. I've been here 25 years hes been here around 18 years. Hes been through some real jerks here for team drivers, Scott was the co-driver and Paul was 1st with a split personality. One minute Pauls driving 45mph on the interstate next hes in a Hardies buying 6 hamburgers, and the next hes standing in front of the hood screaming at someone or something. (Invisible). But never fear once you find a good co-driver it makes all the difference. Theres been times Scott and I are laughing so hard I had tears streaming down my face. I hope to retire in 5 or 6 years, he has 8 or 9 I might push so we can retire same time if my health can hold out. Good luck man, good videos too.

I am considering becoming a trucker, but I see all this banter about recaps vs reset, and I am curious, do you have to work 70 hrs a week? Now, I realize thats where the bigger money is. I would probably do as much as I possibly can, but there may be some times that I wanna work less, and explore the countryside. So, I'm not asking about money earned, I am asking do you have to run 70 hr weeks? Is that mandatory? Would you be able to work 40 hr weeks? Like, I see the max, but is there a minimum, hours to work?

And driving for prime Inc., eight $800 a week I’m supposedly guaranteed which I am not they pull about $275 Each week out of my check. Making about $525 a week. each week out of my check. Making about $525 a week. When I was at the guaranteed $700 a week I brought home about $525 a week. I know you’re thinking what, how, what the F? I know you’re thinking what, how, what the F? Yeah so am I!!! If you drive for prime starting out don’t ask for the $800 upgrade. Because you literally get two or three dollars a week extra for that $800 upgrade. That is as long as the truck drives 5000 miles every week. Not how much you drive but the truck. So if you’ve got a lazy ass good for nothing trainer that fucking too stuck on his video games on the laptop like I do, you will make more with a guaranteed 700 a week then you will for the $800 upgrade.

How long did it take you to drive the 7000 miles you say you drove? In a seven day period with the truck limited to 64 miles an hour, 11 hours of driving time by myself I’m able to drive a little under 5000 miles per week. I am still new to the whole trucking career, only driving a little under six months. So I ask you this because I am not quite educated in a lot of matters Of the trucking career, is there some other companies or states that allow you to drive more than the allotted 77 hours per week?
