How Much Welding? | Mercedes T1 310D Restoration 

I bought a motorhome last year. Found something not quite right with to looking so good with the very cared for looking chassis. 1-2-3 - 4-5+++++++++ hole after some poking. So far I have used all 4 reels of 0.08mm MiG welding wire and I'm still going. Filled with baking foil paper, polystyrene, expanding foam, Isopon P38 P40 bits of wood, paper and bloody wood screws. Now that's a lot of welding. Good luck with you efforts.

I safely kept a spare windscreen for one of my vehicles, in the garage loft, for years. Eventually a friend asked if he could have it to replace his badly scratched screen and within two weeks a stone fell from a railway bridge and shattered mine........ Buy it!

Hello Max: 15th July 2023 I couldn’t help but notice you were using a Clarke Pro 90 Mig Welder in the video throughout your Mercedes Van repairs. I’m also about to be using a Clarke Mig Welder. Model: Clarke Weld 151 EN Turbo. Had it long time but never used it before so not a clue how to set them up or how to use them, You any suggestions Max as I need to learn like your good self. My Clarke Mig welder is a Flux Cored Steel Welding wire, Produces its own Gas shroud as it burns, allowing these machines to weld steel without gas. I’m to believe it can be converted to use with Gas for welding Mild Steel Etc. Back to your video: It didn’t matter how long your video was my friend it’s all educational, So keep up the good work all really interesting. Your first-time attempt to upside down Mig Welding, Very Good, You showed it to be effortless perfect. Whatever you’ve got your welding settings at, Sounds really nicely set. good work, you should invest in some sun glasses. You are like my mates they never wear them and just squint all day.

Think you ought to wear at least thin nonflammable gloves - Mig welding produces powerful UV as well as hot weld spatter. Maybe your welder is turned up a bit high?

Hey Max! Weird quastion. My 307d is also quite eaten by rust, but I only have a stick welder, do I need a MIG to do rust job done? Thanks!
