How MultiVersus Can Bring BACK its Lapsed Players in 2023 | The Path Forward 

You hit the nail on the head about the character choice thing. PFG knows what they’re doing with that, I’m assuming they’re gonna go full force with big names once the full game launches.

They should charge everyone $1000 instead of $100 to unlock all the characters. Make it take 20 years to level up a character. Make it take 10 years in between matches. Oh and also make special cool downs take longer because you know that makes gameplay funner. These guys are awesome.

What made me drop off the game was the awful matchmaking. I consistently got put up against people with highly leveled-up characters any time I tried a new character I unlocked, and was paired with another player with little experience. I don't mind going against people my level and losing, but having all odds put against me makes the loss very frustrating.

Ben 10 deserves to be THE most complex character with multiple forms. I don't expect him for a entire year tbh

Considering we're missing a few "Ya, duh their in" characters like Joker, Daffy and Scooby we should still get these big names sprinkled in with the smaller characters before launch. Though to be honest waiting 2-ish months for Joker is kinda disappointing since he isnt really a surprise IMO.

I like Multisus, but i haven't played it in a while for only one reason: it takes a week to launch. I prefer playing my fighting games 2 or 3 matches at a time inbetween whatever else i'm doing on the computer. I wonder how many people feel the same.

Hopefully we're not thinking of PFG too charitably. I really want this game to succeed, and all the signs are there that they've got a plan, but they're a new team. A new team with a lot of experienced talent, but a new team nonetheless. I get the vibe that the team enjoys what they do and the beta experience is still incredibly impressive, but they caught and lost the attention of a whole lot of people too early in my opinion. Whether WB forced their hand or they never thought it would turn around and bite them to release the open beta so early I don't know, but either way I think it was a misstep. I still play the game nearly every night, but I understand why so many players lost interest and left. All that said, many if not most of them will come back with a new cinematic trailer, and it'll be best if the server and UI is in better shape when they do.

I’d honestly prefer they stopped adding new characters until they are able to put the resources into high quality reveal trailers that build hype before the week of the release. I can understand they are still trying to fill out the base roster, but I think it would be better to content drop a ton at the official release rather than drip feed during the beta. And I say drip feed loosely because they haven’t really been giving enough time in between characters for hype to build. They just seem to be taking away potential hype for the official release and I want to see the game succeed. The hype is what is going to keep people coming back.

I think the game is going to need a massive overhaul for me to come back to it, they've never had a massive content drop with massive changes to the entire game.

I'm a brawlhalla player and when i watched the first demo of multiversus i thought i would'nt play brawlhalla so often anymore after the game be released, but after trying for 2 months it turned out just making me playing even more brawlhalla. i cant explain why, but i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one

im a patient boy and waiting for Louie and hatty is an easy thing obviously first we need important wb characters and a more important third parties, but hoping we get good characters either way (lesser or better known)

I'm just waiting for Lion-O in the game. Also the competitive and story mode would slap. How I'd do it is three new developed characters, being Ben 10, the joker and Scorpion along with 4 new stages, a competive mode, new cinematic along with teasing new characters and if they can make a comic tie in like fortnite.

Its not Bogus depending on which region you play the game plays entirely different, I got gbps internet on a wired connect. I'm in BC Canada and the game rans terrible everytime I play 9/10 times. I've literally complained bitterly about as this is the only game I suffer such an atrocity. That being said I'm a top 1K player and every game I play, I fight the player along side the servers and its only happening to me 9/10 times! To say pro players complaining about servers isn't valid but biased since YOUR connection is great!

i'm a big fan of the game i bought it in epic i'm french and i only play 2v2 you have a nugget in your hands do what it takes to keep people (competition, challenges) and people I will give it back to you I hope to see lots of new characters such as sam the pirate, tom and jerry's dog, daffy duck, bipbip and coyote....... oh yes one last thing I find the game content expensive cosmetics all that lower prices and people will buy more good continuation

My problem was they didn’t launch with ranked there is zero excuse not to launch with a ranked mode even if they would have launched with ranked and whipped it every season that’s fine but that was my issue

Probably because of the mediocre updates as of recently, the battlepass being way too grindy (too long) I think the game is already polished, nobody stopped playing because it wasn't polished enough because it was. I think people stopped playing because of the forced online that wasn't even very good even tho they say it is, and the current season rewards being pretty bad and prices being too high. No ranked yet somehow, and the broken characters that they never fix

5:25 The net code is a huge issue. Thing is, it doesn't matter in casual play but in competitive play is where it strongly affects the outcome of the match. When your attacks hit later and the opponent's attacks can hit before the startup of their animation. And not only that but the fact that some attacks will flat out whiff through the opponents body makes it almost unplayable when 1 or 2 mistakes can cost the match. I made it to rank 86 but the latency issues at this level makes winning almost impossible. I can really play until it is fixed. My internet speed clocks in at about 575 with upload speed of around 29... Pretty sure it's not my internet IDK 🤷‍♂

I only stopped playing because I’m tired of fighting the same characters. I don’t wanna keep fighting a Superman that just spams his flying grab move, an Arya doing the same combo that’s almost impossible to get out of, Rick is just annoying. I also feel like some characters get wrongfully nerfed. Tom and Jerry has only had ONE combo and they took it away from them because one person was good with them, meanwhile you got so many Superman players getting cheese kills and they do nothing about it, they’ll just buff a character that needed a nerf for some fucking reason or do nothing. And whenever they do actually nerf a character who deserves it, it’s always the wrong type of nerf they need. I’m just so tired of it and it just drove me off the game. I want to continue playing but if nothing about all this changes, I don’t see myself coming back.

Easiest way balance matchmaking. Honestly it's content it needs more content. Make matches interesting

They need to add a Disney or Paramount character when they have the game in a more finished state

As far as characters goes they should do a mix like smash where you had bylth, min min, and hero while also having Steve joker and sora. If they pull a NASB and add someone like Garfield first people will leave because there’s no more hype characters coming after that

People excusing the game having a poor experience with "but its still in beta" No. Its not. It just SAYS beta as an excuse for not being a perfect experience. Betas do not last almost a year! And I wish the character archetypes actually mattered Fortnite literally still says Beta on the loading screen.
