Omgosh, I also "touch my chest" when eating soupy foods ❤ I thought I just have a Quirky Way to eat as I used to (still do) get my family/friends making "fun" at the way I eat.. now I see that it's OK 👍 and we actually look Cute. Thanks for the Video ❤
We know damn well your grammy doesnt use that rice cooker lmao. She does it the OG way. She gave us the "oohh thats interesting" pose. "Which button was it?" 😂😂
What Asian doesn’t use a rice cooker? Um it is 2023 you know. I have never seen any Asian person, parents or grandparents cook rice on the stove unless their rice cooker died after 20 years.
I know on some platforms you’re legally required to disclose that someone is watching an Ad. I thought RU-vid was one of them.. but I think it’s very obvious that it’s an Ad half way through 🫠
She is so sweet. you are so lucky . It's important to remember all of those extra special steps she goes through because it is the reason it's so good. I've found this out watching my 90yo Greek mother in law. Patience is so important.
Multicookers have more functionality than a rice cooker and do the same thing and more better yet if you're willing to spend a lot of money and invest you can get multicookers that have air fry and pressure cook options too for about 400/500. Saves you counter space by having everything in one
@@Birdbike719 I personally make my own mix, most asian grocery have a pre-made mix of grains, beans and rice...they have become expensive so I make my own❤️
This looks so good! It also looks so flavorful and wholesome. I want to try this exact recipe for myself on my birthday coming up. I love spicy pickled mustard greens so i’ll have them on the side of the seaweed soup and this grain mix rice. I’ll be sure to pick up the ingredients next time I go to the store. thank you for the idea 🍃
Are you kidding? Rice cookers are extremely common in Asian households lol literally all of my family uses them 😶 just not the ones from American brands
@@user-oc7dd7oy5m For a culture based on the pride of rice making, using instant pots is like using Uncle Ben's as an authentic Asian rice? I can make Rice of any kind perfectly flaky with each kernel separate like sand in a normal pot. What is the problem in Asian rice cooking culture?
@@GrzegorzDurda Koreans like a stickier rice (no long grain rice). My Korean Mom says your rice shouldn't fly away if you sneeze 🤧 My family has been using a rice cooker since the 80's 🤷🏻♀️ Her mother made it in a huge wok over an outside coal fire with a bamboo steamer cover. There were 10 kids, so everything was in mass quantity. Cuckoo & Tiger rice cookers are upwards of $300-400 😮
