See Saffron like you’ve never seen her before as she explores what life is like for the hard-of-hearing. After learning that she almost went deaf as a child, Saffron is eager to bring exposure to the issues deaf people face and speaks to blogger Jazzy Whipps and even her own granddad. Her journey culminates with a brand new music video featuring her friends, family and members of the deaf community designed to expose the problems they are experiencing in 2020.

Well done Saffron for raising awareness- My teenage son has a auditory processing disorder his primary school took care of his needs so well, he went to secondary school and the school misunderstanding his needs left him in classrooms unable to follow he had blank pieces of paper at the end of each lesson. The deaf school costs a lot more so the council have left him without any education then a few months after his 13 birthday my 17 year old daughter was diagnosed of blood cancer she is 20 in January and still battling and requires a transplant March her only chance of survival. My son has had to witness his sister battling having gruelling treatment and it’s all through lack of awareness. So glad your hearing was saved by your grandma and parents acting so quickly ❤️❤️xxx

@Thedramaqueensoph 3 года назад
Jess being hard of hearing is still hearing loss and still has a ton of obstacles. Trust me. Plus, deafness is like blind .... it’s different levels. Very few have absolutely no sounds but being hard of hearing you still miss sounds and words and certain pitches. It makes conversations difficult particularly in groups. Videos without captions means you miss stuff. Background noise means you can miss what’s being said. Face masks means if you need lipreading, you miss stuff. To say there is no obstacle is rude and actually shows how little you must know about the deaf and hard of hearing community if I’m honest. And besides I don’t know a single human who doesn’t have some form of obstacle in life!

I honestly didn’t realise Saffron suffered from hearing problems and it’s so so amazing that she is able to share her story to do many people!!! Since covid began I have always thought about how hard it must be for people who rely on lip reading !!! Well done saffron for being so strong and sharing such an amazing story !!! I hope one day I will be in a position that I can help people and make life so much easier 💞💞💞

I’m hard off hearing. I have perforated ear drums due to operations in the past which has lost a lot off my hearing. I wear 2 hearing aids and I struggle with masks as I go by lip reading aswell and the masks interfere my hearing aids.. love watching this saffron Thankyou for inspiring people how it is really like x

Thank you so much Saffron! Not only for the video and everything you do but for creating awareness about the deaf community and the masks! Means a lot as my mum is deaf. ❤️

@@coronalife9061 I don’t think they embarrassed themselves. As much as it’s nice that Saff is spreading awareness about deafness, there’s only a couple of videos with subtitles.

I struggled with hearing loss all my life - now at 32 i finally gave into a hearing aid. I have low frequency hearing loss and i refused all during school to accept I needed support. I just didn't want to be teased. I struggled with miss interpreting coverstations and constantly being told that i'm deaf i'm not hearing things. Its lovely to see someone open up about a simple struggle that hits the heart. P.S. we need some videos with your nanny! I Miss seeing her!

hey sorry if this sounds rude I'm just curious, when she was getting her nails done could she not have wrote it down in her notes on her phone or something. it just seems a lot easier to communicate that way idk I don't mean to be rude
