I am sad that diamond tiara didn't have a speaking rule after the episode, i really would have wanted to see how she interacts with the CMC after she got redeemed (also interested in who silver spoon's parents are)

I only wish we got some hint to Tiara's home life prior to this, building it up so that it wouldn't feel so sudden to reveal Spoiled Rich being the reasoning behind her behaviour.

I remember when this episode came out and it was a really good episode. It was a huge deal when the CMC finally got their cutie marks.

I think Diamond Tiara would have been a great addition to the CMCs. She would be able to help ponies that went through a similar situation, not understanding their cutie marks even after they earned them. It's sad we didn't get to see much of her after her redemption, as she was a character with a lot of potential.

I did like this episode we got to see why diamond tiara is the way that she is and her redemption is pretty good to enjoy

I absolutely hate diamond's mother. And it also shows how diamond tiara is technically being psychologically abused, her mother belitting her and making her feel like a disappointment.

I absolutely love how my little pony, even though being a family friendly tv show, Is not afraid to tackle deep and sensitive topics even if put at risk of demonization, for their audience to have a better understanding of the problem or their problem all while making it understandable and friendly to younger audiences

The fact Mlp did better job for a bully redemption than Miraculous ladybug

The Pony i want to be is one of my favorite songs. You know seeing the CMC trying to persuade Diamond Tiara to be good feels like a change a pace for me, i was play a lot of Mass Effect instead of watching MLP back in the day

One thing I like about MLP is that it tries to forgive its villains. Even if people say it's undeserved and repetitive, I still like that idea. It shows that no matter how bad a person is, they can still become better than they were before. After all, a wise person once said, "A villain is just a broken hero"

Not having Diamond Tiara come back in any real capacity after this episode was kind of a shame. A chance to see her post-redemption would have been so fun. As cringe as I generally think the songs are, Diamond Tiara's song was legitimately really good here.

Man I really loved this episode, I always cry when the one two punch of applejack telling applebloom her parents would be proud, followed by the group picture that gets sent to celestia with the animation from the opening. The whole episode is so heartfelt and filled with good songs, it's always good to see an important episode handled in a very musical way.

The Pony I Want To Be has some of the best lyrics in all of MLP. The only song I can think of that is as memorable is A Kirin Tale ("I could stay and live with them, or I could keep my voice").

I hate that Silver's last words were basically "I don't care about Diamond Tiara" and people keep misquoting it as "drum" instead of "drama". What a waste of potential. And hey, people still despise them. DiamondsHD and SpoonsHD is a thing.

Hey, I’ve come upon your channel recently, I just wanted to let you know that your videos have helped me immensely in my journey to understand myself and have helped me encounter pieces of my past that I didn’t realize were still affecting me this far into life. I don’t wish to go into details on those things atm, but I want to let you know that your showcasing of moments from MLP and the analysis you bring to the table can help the right person, in much the same way the show seems to have impacted you. Never underestimate the power of speaking outwardly about something you’re passionate.

the fact she was also cartoonishly evil also lends inot that persona not being her,she is acting how a child thinks a villain would act,and not how an actual mean kid would act,if that makes any sense lmao

i love that they gave her this storyline, it makes sense-- unlike the other villains, diamond tiara is literally just a little kid with a difficult life. it doesn't excuse her being mean but...yet again, she's just a kid i just wish we had seen more of her after this, i would've loved her being friends with the CMCs for example

this episode, even just people talking about it (like this video) or clips of it never fail to make me cry, its one of my favourite episodes and so well done. Im 23 but I still relate to the cmc and what they love doing. just took me way longer to find out

Tbh one of the many reasons i love Season 5 is because of how it handles mature elements (mostly) very well. And i wish the later seasons kept Season 5's tone and message since the kids that are watching it are also growing up so it made sense for the series to show more mature subtext to grow up with their audience.

I do love the "How MLP Tackled ______" format, awesome episode choices so far!

Also up to this episode I hated diamond tiara because I saw her not only as a bully but a brat. Then this episode came out and I felt sorry for her because its not her fault that she's like this but her mom's fault. Also I love "the pony I wanna be" it maybe sad but it shows she wants to change and does so in the reprise

I love how they made a bully character into a character that you could have sympathy for! Also omg, I did not realize this was the episode where the crusaders finally got their marks. I remember this was such a huge moment

I'm really glad for Diamond's redemption. That whole episode made me relate to her(what with the social expectations her mother held for her), and especially that song. I found my own place to belong and my voice to be myself, and I am happy to be able to sing along with her reprise loud and proud. (Before you ask, no, I was never a bully, but I moreso had a disposition similar to Fluttershy, alongside the heavy expectations.)

Friendship is Magic did what Miraculous Ladybug refused to... They redeemed the rich bully kid with an abusive parent.

What would happen if Diamond Tiara became a couple with her rival Pipsqueak along with being the mayor of Ponyville after Mayor Mare retires in the future?

Makes you wonder if they had lost scrapped scenes of what DT and Silvy's episodes would've been when they actually hang out with the cmcs or even introduced Silvy's parents.

as someone who grew up with an abusive dad and had that affect the way i interact around others, im very glad my little pony handled it in the way they did (although diamond tiara standing up for herself and spoiled rich not reacting in any real way was unrealistic, but mlp isnt going to add a massive shouting match between mother and daughter), im glad that while the cmcs did help her, they were hesitant because they didnt know how she would react. also i have cried to the pony i wanna be countless times

the part where you said "shes the only one who voted for herself" actually isnt correct, when she said "one vote" she meant that silver spoon was the one vote she needed to win, but silver spoon didn't vote for her. silver spoon was the missing "one vote" to push diamond tiara to the win, meaning it was a very close race and diamond tiara's fear mongering did work.

Well because YT kindly deleted my comment let me say I have mixed feelings on this episode. For me I believed Crusaders Of the Lost Mark was MLP FIM's episodes was one of the biggest reasons I have so much conflicting feelings on. While I was proud that the Cutie Mark Crusaders get to have their cutie marks, part of me is a bit conflicted on the matter on Diamond Tiara. Sure I'm glad they got their cutie marks, but the issue is that Diamond is just left forgotten after Season 5. I feel in contrast to Diamond, Pacifica Northwest from Gravity Falls and Amity Blight from The Owl House had better executions of their development from being spoiled brats to redeemed heroes. Unlike Diamond, both girls had previous episodes that while mean still had moments beyond being a bully. We learn how Pacifica dealt with the pressures of maintaining her status as a Northwest. Her family is a bunch of irresponsible jerks they are unable to realize their mistakes. While Amity had to deal with a horrible mother and family that caused her to deal with perfectionism. Odalia Blight is a way better horrible mother trope and Karen trope than Spoiled Rich ever could. The way she uses her family and chastises them is why we root for Amity. She is a terrible person such as controlling Amity's homelife and the twins, mistreat Alador her husband, disregarding Luz, or siding with Belos to save her own skin. Unlike Ms. Spoiled Rich who acts bratty and haughty other than scolding her Daughter. Meanwhile, it almost feels like this episode was just a one and done arc with Diamond and that was it. Pacifica and Amity slowly warm up to the main cast and when they fight back against their parental trauma they earned their redemption. Meanwhile before this episode, Diamond is still a bully to the Cutie Mark Crusaders and we didn't knew about their home life until now. Why should I forgive Diamond when she insulted Scootaloo's inability to fly, making Babs Seed horrible or embarassing the trio? She never had moments where she regretted her actions and when she's called out she never does anything that shows she's sorry. We don't even get more info besides her mother beyond Filthy Rich her dad but even with him being a greedy menace, we don't know much on Diamond's life nor should we care because after this episode Diamond is never given an episode ever again. So I feel Diamond was just forgotten from the staff and its a shame. Part of me wished to learn how rich ponies were separated from their other ponies. Or maybe learn her family life and maybe we could've had episodes of Diamond and her friendship with Silver Spoon. If we really wanted to have a redemption arc of Diamond they could've done better than dedicate to a single episode and that's it. I think that's why I stopped enjoying the CMC episodes because while they did get their cutie marks, their whole purpose is finished already. They got their cutie marks together and that's why I feel they shouldn't have earned it for Diamond Tiara. The CMC were underdogs trying to deal with not having one, but because they earned it the CMC were just relegated to cameos, helping others earn cutie marks and that's it. Why should we care for the CMC now because their purpose is completed already? Overall I just feel this episode was made in order to have too much Diamond Tiara bullying the Cutie Mark Crusaders repetitively. But that's just my two cents.

i’m so glad you included the entirety of DT’s song !! it’s been one of my favourite songs from the series since i originally heard it for the amount of depth they gave to her. i know a lot of people who hate her redemption for feeling it was rushed or unwarranted but this episode will forever stay in my top 3 for how well i feel they tackled the subject of understanding why bullies are the way they are sometimes and how you yourself can help support the people around you just by understanding them

Diamond Tiara's purpose all along is to have a good leadership who want to help others and, not be a bossy, queen bee who want her way.

i always skipped this episode because I couldnt watch my favourite ponies (the cutie mark crusaders) actually get their cutie marks, i never watched anything past this episode, i always thought it would make them a background character or make me sad but when i watched it recently it actually made them way better characters.

i love the episode i do- and diamond tiaras redemption is beautiful to. i love the song she sings. my problem is with the cmc- specifically there cutiemarks and how all of it went down and just ugh everything about it has always rubbed me the wrong way sense i was a kid :// i can't fully explain it but just the fact there all almost the same fucking thing and that's there whole purpose is the cmc even tho they have other skills and talents?? it feels like a cop out to flesh out there characters more honestly :((( i hate it. idk. i need to finish season 8-9 but even still they feel so... wasted :(( they feel wasted mannnm but anyways banger video, luv your channel, keep going pinkie 💕💫

I was around 7-9 when the episode was released, and even as a kid it hit differently than the other episodes. The message reached me even then. And now, watching it as a young adult, it’s so beautifully written. I really wish we had more of Diamond Tiara after this, but at least it was a nice way to wrap up her story.

this emotional depth is why a show for little girls is beloved by adults of all types.

I’m 21, I’m not a bully and don’t have parents like diamond tiara but I’m trying to figure out my life and myself. What a great episode and recap, a video I needed to see at this time in my life. ❤

This episode always makes me ball my eyes out

There needs to be more media with bullies that show what the bully is going through in their own life. Cause in actuality, they’re not just jerks for the sake of being jerks. They’re mean for a reason, usually due to abuse, neglect, or trauma. Then again, I haven’t really dealt with bullying myself, so maybe take this with a grain of salt. (I don’t even know if I used that terminology right)

it’s nice to see a good mlp yt channel that isn’t creepy and makes the takeaways of these episodes more clear for all to see
