I thought the same!!! 😍 I didn't even realize that the thumbnail was a dated photo from however long ago, until the video actually started!!! 😂 What a lovely set of parents & good genes you have!!! 🥰👍
My dad is first generation Filipino American, and my mom is white American. Both were very quickly attracted to each other because of each others humor. I can see it here, too.
I love your family dynamics! And it’s so cool to hear you speak English, then your mum responding in Spanish, and vice versa, and just mixing it all up in general.
I actually Googled the distance in miles between Spain and Korea. Turns out, your dad is right- 6000 miles is a lot. I am a straight male but your dad is good looking then and now.
I noticed how your father is so expressive with his hand gestures, because this is usually not the case with the majority of Korean people. I guess he has been living in Spain too long :)
Your love for each other even extends beyond the screen. As someone who didn't have the chance to grow up in such a family, I wish families like this for all children in the world.
I came across your channel on instagram. ❤😂 my parents are 🇨🇺, but my grandparents both maternal and paternal are from 🇪🇸 : Burgos/Galicia and other areas. Born and raised in South Florida.
I had to pause, and look it up. The distance between Korea and Spain is 6,226. 😮 Also, I love the fact that there are 3 languages that you can speak fluently.
No ideia why RU-vid recommended this video but I LOVED IT... I am also in an interracial relationship and it's so cool to see histories like this. I rarely engage or watch a whole video but yours is simple, entertaining and very adorable to watch. Your family has an incredible vibe. Wishing you family more and more laughs together 😍🥰
I'm enjoying this. What a beautiful story and what great chemistry your parents have with each other and with you. Very sweet! I'm mixed race (German-Ghanaian) and my parents' story is just as precious. Your mom is so beautiful, inside out and, of course, your dad is handsome, inside out lol
Wow where has this video been all my life? This is so sweet, genuine, and freaking lovely. I'm not usually interested in other people's lives, but this was just so sweet to listen to and watch. Subscribed!
I understand why he was so popular. Not only he was he the only Asian but he was also good-looking. Stills looking good, don't get me wrong. Your mom is so pretty. How did their parents take the relationship? Were they against?
Que pareja más fantástica! La gente que dice que las barreras culturales son insuperables, en realidad está hablando de sus propias barreras psicológicas. 🥰☺️
Well. If one culture is stricter and more disciplined and one is more loose and chill that depends on people's personalities. Like they r both Christian and that is chill so more matching. And if one person is more chaotic then even going to church once a week can b a big problem for them. Yes you r right it does come down to personality but cultures being similar like theirs helps massively 😊
This was incredibly adorable! You’ve definitely got some wonderful parents! My husband is Chinese and I’m American, and it made me think how sweet it will be to tell over story to our grown kids someday! Thanks for uploading some joy onto the internet ☺️❤
I'm a straight male too, but I think your dad looks better now than when younger, more distinguished. A lot of guys look better with age, not sure why, but your dad is one of them 🎉 Love the spanish too as I am trying to learn so this channel might be a good tutorial and entertain at the same time. This is so adorable I love this! Such a special way to capture your parent’s story and learn more about them. Your parents have such a beautiful love! Also my dad was a Korean PK too!
That's such a wonderful story! I love how your dad keeps all the photos of when they first met, their first date, etc. He seems like such a loving husband and father. Your mom is super precious!!
As Spanish mixed man from Madrid, this story is so interesting hahaha Your dad looked so good then and now. 멋지다 Your mom reminds me A LOT of my own mum hahaha Very interesting video.
I love interracial couple parents love stories. They are all so interesting and because it's usually more than 20 years (because of RU-vidr age). It is also going back in times how people do with interracial relationship. Your parents and you are so cute, cozy and happy together! Subscribed!
Aawww your mum and dad are so sweet together. Also, i always thought that to be with someone who makes you laugh is one of the criterias of a good marriage.
Honestly i am so happy with u kid the way u walked with them their journey so happily into past u r making them feel ease... that was so good to see and hear.
Qué vídeo tan bonito!❤ La verdad es sorprendete cómo tus padres se conocieron puesto que una persona coreana, por entonces, en España era raro! Acabo de descubrir tus videos y me están encantando😊 Un abrazo desde España!
Nice video. It’s interesting to see how you embrace both you Korean and Spanish heritage. Do you think having an Asian dad made you feel more proud to be Asian? Keep up the good work!!!!
I am Spanish and your mum makes me tear up... She is so Spanish in all the good ways! Auténtica y maravillosa!!! ❤ No me extraña que se enamorara de ella!
@@NinaUm Yes!!! 😍 I didn't even realize that the thumbnail was a dated photo from however long ago, until the video actually started!!! 😂 What a lovely set of parents & good genes you have!!! 🥰👍
Just my opinion, but I believe being in a healthy and loving relationship helps you age beautifully. This wonderful couple is a shining example of that.
Your parents weren’t the only Asian and Spanish couple in Spain! My husband’s parents (mother is Taiwanese and father is Spanish) met in the mid 1960s when his mother moved from Taiwan to A Coruña in Galicia. It was very rare to see an interracial couple during that era, particularly in a small fishing port city in northwestern Spain. Like your father, my MIL picked up speaking fluent Spanish because she worked as a nurse in a hospital. His father was a patient there and that was how they met. After a few years, his parents moved to Toronto, Canada for better work opportunities. They had 3 sons (my hubby is the youngest), all born in Toronto. However, after a number of years, their father couldn’t take the stresses of the job and the cold winters, so the family moved back to Spain when my husband was 1 year old. Unfortunately the marriage didn’t last and my MIL moved back to Toronto in 1979, taking my husband along. His older brothers eventually also moved back to Toronto in the early to mid 1990s. They were in their 20s by then. Thus, their first language is Spanish but my husband’s is English because he had forgotten all his Spanish when he moved back to Toronto at age 5. My Taiwanese MIL is now 88 and she still continues to speak Spanish to her eldest sons (eldest passed away last year).
As a Korean married to an Englishman with an 18-year old son, I can’t help but feeling an instant connection even though we probably have not much else in common. One thing though, I totally relate to your dad that he does his math in Korean because I do the same. I can never remember phone numbers in English, even though I can do everything else in English.
You remind me of the man I saw on this Korean show who is from Spain and is Spanish and Korean to. Jangmin I think. Y’all should do a video one day . I’m half Korean to with Spanish but not Spain I’m half Korean and Cuban but I was born in Seoul but grew up in Miami, Fl lol
Aww cute story! Such a fun match lol Wow he was & is still so handsome!

COU is short for Curso de Orientación Universitaria (Univeristy Orientation Course), last year before uni. You would take it when 17 year old and it would go after the three years of Bachillerato (High School)
